Timmy:

When I was five Christmas eve was the best night of the year…

I was staying at my grandparents house this year because my parents

Were moving from Canada to the United States. I was sad about not being with my parents this year for Christmas so grandma and grandpa were going to let me stay up late so I could see Santa clause.

 

Grandma: Timmy looks so sad Jim we should try to cheer him up.

Grandpa: Your right Sharon we should try to think of ways to cheer him up.

 

Narrator: [later on that afternoon]

 

Timmy: [sighs]

 

Grandma: Timmy dear, would you like to make some cookies?

 

Timmy: no [sigh]

 

Narrator: [later that night]

 

Timmy: grandpa where are you going.

 

Grandpa: it’s late I’m going to bed.

 

Timmy: [groans]

 

Grandma: I’ll stay up with you Timmy.

 

Timmy: Ok.

 

Narrator: [minutes later]

 

Grandma: [snoring]

 

Grandpa: good he went to the bath room up the chimney I go.

 

Timmy: Grandma wake up!!! What time is it?
