June Mitchell

Mrs. Mitchell was the smiling face behind the desk in the main office of EJ King School where she was Mr. Marse's scretary in the early 70's. The smile was only the beginning! There was so much more to this wonderful woman! She had a heart of gold and a love so great for all of us kids!

Where do I begin..June was like a Mother to all of us. I don't remember who she replaced in the office. But she did an exceptional job. If you needed anything she was always there to help. Be Bad and you got no breaks..She was Fair..She was the Band Manager and got our first Jobs at the clubs on the base. She was always there to help move the equipment.(none of us drove.) She argued with the Club managers because Paul was to young to be in the Bar area. So she had to stay there with us...Till late in the night. She must have been exhausted the next day... But she never showed it. She was so proud of Paul and all of us...she'd listen to that terrible music and just smiled.. and we were really bad at first...God I Miss Her. One day after practice we where listening to Three Dog Night. (Pieces Of April) She had a tear in her eye as she told me it was her favorite song and that the line she loved the most was "I'll keep it in a memory Bouquet". I'll Never forget this wonderful person. She gave us so much of herself and asked for nothing in return. I'll keep her in a memory Bouquet...
