Think of this as my R/C'ing diary. Whenever I do something, new, or just want to add in the days exitment I will post it here. Usually if I am testing a new product, trying out something, or just flying, it will be here under the date that it occured!!
Today I went to my flying club, I haven't yet recieved my plane from Tower Hobbies, so I just went to check it out. Man, it was awsome. There were only 4 people there. There was a trainer, a bipe, a spitfire and another WW2 Plane. They were very good to watch! I talked to the instructors and I'm going to get lessons and lots and lots of advise.
Today my radio,enine, and accesories arrived! Since I live up in Canada the box with the AirVista in it got separated on the long trip! Moday it will arrive and I will start building! I still have to buy a Glow starter, A fuel pump etc. I probably won't be flying untill next spring because it is going to snow soon! I'd love to fly in the winter but I need some lessons!

I recieved my Plane the Monday as expected!! I has so glad to see it! I was a lot bigger than I thought. It came with a very good video. It talked about safety,preperation,and flight manouvers. The plane claims to take only one evening... it took me five freaking hours. My servos are constantly buzzing. That can't be very good so i am going to talk to my instructor once i've completely finished! It looks great though. The engine mount needed bigger screws and the rods needed a bit of trimming, other than that it wasn't to hard! It's lots of fun and i can hardly wait to fly it! I also want to get floats for it! Wouldn't that be great! I'll keep you all posted!!
Today I went to my flying club. It was cold and windy. I met up with my future instuctor and he gave me some tips on how to stop the buzzing of my servos! I am going to use cable insted of pushrods. It's so much easier. That is because they bend! So I went to his house to pick them up. Today I saw my firt crash. The plane was in very bad condition and shouldn't have been flown...but it did and thats what happened. Whata hard way to learn a lesson eh! I won't fly untill everything is A-OK!. They say it was because of a dead battery. One night of charging could have saved them $300!!
Today I am starting to put the cables onto my plane. Hopefully it will work! I have added a diahgram of the how the cables will look inside the plane

Hello, Last Wednesday I stared my flying course. It is taught by my instructor at his house and at a computer company. It is very helpfull because he shows all the first timers what to watchout for and wht to do! I taught aerodynamics and a lot about batteries. I was very good because he used my plane as a demonstrater for all the other students to see. This comming monday together we will run the O.S. LA .40 for it's firt run! Wish me Luck!! Well my season has finally started. Today I went to visit the club and see my instructor. This comming Saturday will be my first flight!!!! Today I went and payed my dues, got my MAAC insurance and stayed to watch a bit. There were lots of people flying today and there was even a crash!! A brand new plane, very ,very nice! It was it's maiden flight and the reciever battery came loose. Damn those electrics eh!! anyways it pulled two rools in under a second on its own and went straight for the Mud!! It's too bad because the man that built the plane spent the winter doing so. Well anyways I hope I have better luck next Saturday.
I have purchased the Duraplane Trainer40 fromTower Hobbies.I did this because I want to learn to fly in the winter. My instructor doesn't teach in the winter so I decided that with my current knowledge of R/C flying I could pull it off. Anyways today was my first flight with the plane. I made skis which will be covered in more detail on my Winter Flying page(soon to come). The skis caused lots of drag and made the plane dive. I landed is succesfully and am now making modifications.
Today I flew my Duraplane for the second time after fixing the skis. It was very hard to control and crashed into a small tree on landing. It will be OK though! the repairs are minimal as it is such a simple plane. I will out there again soon!!
