cheapest-of-them-all bulletin board
- find a piece of cardboard, not the posterboard kind but the thicker kind that is used to make boxes (or foam boards available at craft stores), and cut it up to make it the size u want
- next, decide what you want to do with it. you can cover the whole thing with fabric, put a border on it, paint it, or cover it with fabric and put a border on it! keep in mind that if you use furry fabric, it will have to be short haired fabric so the tacks can get to the cardboard!
- now go out and find what u need to make it the way u want it and hot glue everything on!
fabric covered bulletin board
- go buy a bulletin board, the kind w/a wood edge, not metal! I found one at K-mart for about 6 bucks!
- next, go to a craft supply store and buy some fabric that will go with your room theme. You only need to buy as much fabric as you will need to cover the board, unless you want to make some pillows with it, etc. Kat*s Note- furry fabric looks great for this project, if it goes with your theme!!!
- get out ur hot glue gun, heat it up, and cut your fabric so it will cover up the cork part on the board. be careful and measure the fabric so it will fit exactly right! Kat*s Note- if the bulletin board you are using has a wood border that comes off, take it off and cut the fabric 3 inches longer on each side than necessary to just cover the cork. wrap the fabric around the cork and put the border back on! hot glue the fabric to the back of the board so it will stay!
- hot glue the fabric to the cork, (you might want to use fabric glue so you cant tell where the glue is!) working carefully so you dont get wrinkles! cover the border with something to match your theme, like a lei for a hawaiian room or a boa for a glam room! you might be able to paint the border, if its unfinished wood. glue on some rhinestones to make it even cuter!

- buy a bulletin board, the kind w/a woode edge, not metal! I found one a K-Mart for about 6 bucks!
- use your imagination to think of something that will go w/ur theme to cover the border of the bulletin board! I used a lei for my hawaiian room, u could use a boa for a glam room or necklaces or WHATEVER, and glue it on with a hot glue gun! you could also glue on beads or anything like that too!
- you could even stick on a few rhinestones to up the cute factor!
- voila, an awesome bulletin board to put up pics of ur friends and important papers on that even matches your room theme!
