RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD

  • Directed by: Dan O'Bannon
  • Written by: Dan O'Bannon
  • Produced by: Tom Fox Freddy (Thom Mathews) is starting is first day at a new job. You remember your first day at your new job. You didn't wanna screw up right. Well Freddy may have already screwed up. Not with his job but by listening to his uncle. Frank (Freddy's uncle) tells Freddy a story. About how that movie Night of The Living Dead was based on a true story and that George A. Romero had to change some facts. Of course how the hell does Frank know this? Oh because they sent the reanimated bodies to UNEEDA Medical Supply. Wait that is where Freddy is. To convince Freddy, Uncle Franky wants to show him the steel cylinders. Of course Uncle Frank fucks up and lets the toxin out of the cylinder by hitting the seventeen year old cylinder on the side cause a crack to open. The putrid vapor seeps up into this warehouse of oddities bringing back to life anything that was once alive and of course, the lone medical school cadavers hanging in the freezer. As they try to kill the brain, they realize the movie LIED about that. Instead they decide to chop the corpse into little pieces and take it next door to the crematorium. But burning the corpse, only releases trioxin 245 into the air where a passing shower brings it raining down onto a cemetery. Too bad for Freddy's friends who were waiting for him in the cemetery. The dead are back and looking for live BRAINS. A lot of great zombie action here, especially when the zombies attack the cops and give a call in "to send more cops". The end comes when the army steps in, but as you can see they screwed up again. Why do I love this film. Let me see when I first saw it I was 13 and I got scared. At that point no movie scared me anymore. Maybe it was that these zombies are different then Fulci and Romero's. Or it could be that watching a zombie movie that is more upto date is kinda scary. It could be that but then again "Zombie" scared the shit out of me. All I have to say is that these zombies are one of the bests. Don't get it's sequal. I did hoping to be satisfied but I was dumped when I realized it was crap! Buy or rent this one it is a scream!
