The fathers of children who have been in my care have been truly extraordinary. I have been both impressed and touched by their dedication and devotion to their sons and daughters. They and fathers like them deserve to be honored. I dedicate this page to them and their hard loving work!
Daddy and Baby
I've got a couple of tips for you wonderful fathers out there. Don't despair because you haven't got boobs for baby to snuggle on! There's plenty of nurturing in this for you to take part in, without the risk of pectoral implants.
The 'warm fuzzy' is simply holding or resting with baby on your chest. A man's chest provides a different 'feel' but is no less important than the female version. Experiment to find your holding style, and let yourself be the comfy teddy you were always meant to be!
With 'good vibrations', let baby cuddle with his/her head under your chin. This way baby's ear is next to your throat. Low humming is very pleasant to little ones. The sound and accompanying vibrations are as comforting as a car ride without the agony of restraining seat.
