The Addiction Education Program 'Change Is A Choice' offers individuals the opportunity to understand how their drug/alcohol use relates to the circumstances in which they currently find themselves.

Substance Use Groups
The Program Goal is to introduce people on Probation and Parole or under Conditional Sentence to concepts used in substance abuse rehabiliation in order to motivate them to enter rehabilitation.

The objective is for participants to receive information on drugs and alcohol use and its effects from a social, psychological, physiological and legal perspective. Participants receive information about substance abuse programs in the community.

Intensive Rehabilitation Group
The Program Goal is to assist Offenders to reduce and/or eliminate their abuse of substances and to develop alternative coping skills in order to reduce the likelihood of reoffending.

The participants are able to identify their substance abuse pattern including its effect on the social, psychological, physiological and legal aspects of their life. They learn to identify the cognitive distortions that support their substance abuse pattern. They demonstrate responsibility for their substance abuse behaviour and their individual change process. The are able to practice skills necessary for alternative adaptive behaviours and develop relapse prevention plans to change their substance abuse pattern.

Open Custody
The residents at Wycliffe Booth open custody facility receive information on drugs and alcohol use and its effects from a social, psychological and legal perspective. Special attention is paid to alcohol and cannabis.
