Segregation

The Year 2000 is coming to and end. For 29 years I've been subjected to the conflicting opinions that we all are created equal and have the same rights, and yet we are all different because of sex or race.
OK sure it's medically proven that those of a certain ethnic background are more susceptible to cold injuries just as breast cancer is more likely to be in one sex rather than another. So for medical purposes race and sex might matter.
But what about the rest of  life. I am so tired of hearing about the Black vote as if black people don't vote so they are a non marketed commodity. (Oh...and isn't that politically incorrect?)
And the woman's vote..., they also haven't been voting as long as men have. Maybe they haven't learned individuality yet and all vote the same. I don't think so.
The Hispanic minority vote was an issue in this election. Surely they deserve special attention. If your of a Hispanic decent then you probably haven't been here very long. You must have just gotten the right to vote and need special care in our strange and new nation.
I mean, How long have we had Hispanic, Black, and women voters in these United States? What about the Scandinavian Vote or the Asian Vote? What's wrong with the everyday White male vote? Why the heck are we being ignored and what makes us so common and everyday and everyone else so special. Besides, I thought we were suppose to be equal. What the heck is so wrong with the individual vote?

___

...if your not a statistic I guess your out of luck.
___

Is it written in stone that because I am a white male who lives in Apt A that I will vote the same as my white neighbor in Apt B and different than my Hispanic neighbor Apt C.
If so then I now see why politicians continue to recognize a segregated group. While screaming for equality from the rooftops they encourage us to continue to be segregated because it will cause us to feel obligated to support those who are just like us. If they can convince 1 female that they will be the candidate to support. Then all females should follow suit because all females are the same and have to face the same problems. Women are not given the time to think of their own individual problems because they are called upon to take up the cross for women everywhere because of this 1 individuals problem.
That's how the political system works today. The government loves to find any subject (i.e.. race, religion, sex, sexual preference, social status, age, medical condition, anything) to keep us fighting amongst ourselves and keep our mind off our individual problems.
Apparently they want us to know that we have the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness. What they don't want us to remember is that these are individual rights. Strength is in numbers so if your not a statistic I guess your out of luck.
