Let's talk about freedom.
We as a nation are now at war because our country is different. The element
that makes our county different is freedom. But "ladies and gentlemen"
we are aiming to be the laughing stock of the world if we continue to give
away our freedom to the simplest things such as free speech.
I am in the military, and
the one thing that ticks me off more than anything else in America is what
I call "Passive People". I work with some people who are willing to lay
down their lives at a moments notice for their country but don't want to
stand up and say what they think is right or wrong.
Many Passive People will
complain and gripe to their friends and neighbors, But don't vote, write
their congress or do anything to make a change.
To not exercise these rights
is to spit on the graves of the many men and women who died to give
us these rights.
Right now there are complaints
being made because children in schools are praying and posting "God Bless
America" signs. I don't know what kind of ignorant idiot is complaining
but these idiots are exercising the right that they are complaining about.
"The freedom of speech."
The reason America
is in the condition that it is in today lies at the feet of passive people.
They go about their lives and say "Oh, the Government will do all that
needs to be done. They don't need my opinion. It wouldn't do any
good any way."
Then, they stand aside
and allow the world around them to affect their lives instead of their
lives affecting the world around them. This is why our country was
founded. Our Forefathers gave us rights and privileges in order to be a
working part of society, not just a peasant here for the economy.
The most irritating
of these Passive People are Passive Christians who have "faith that
God will take care of all" but and think that their faith excuses them
from their responsibility to stand and be heard. Do Christians not
know that they are charged in the Bible to be good stewards of that witch
with they have been endowed. Americas are endowed with a freedom
and rights that we all are responsible to exercise. To not exercise
these rights is to spit on the graves of the many men and women who died
to give us these rights.
Do these words sting?
