Davy on VH1 Classic - "A Very Classic Thanksgiving"
This special has Dee Snider, MC Hammer, Davy Jones, Lisa Lisa of "Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam," Eddie Money and Terri "Berlin" Nunn sharing a traditional holiday feast at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York. The one-hour special features discussions including how they broke into the music business, what it was like to get to the top and what they're doing now.


According to Variety, Micky Dolenz will direct the film, "G'day L.A." It's set to roll down under next April. The picture will be produced by Cunningham's RLC Motion Picture Entertainment.

Davy will be performing a benefit concert for the Children's Hospital in Oakland on October 16th.

UPDATE: Due to illness the concert has been rescheduled to Friday, Nov. 5th at 8pm.

On Friday, August 8, 2003 Davy will be performing at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, CA.

According to The San Francisco Examiner he will be on KGO's Ronn Owens Show that morning.

KGO-AM 810 has him listed for 11am.

Micky Dolenz joined the tour of Disney's Aida in February. He is playing the role of Zoser in the hit Elton John-Tim Rice musical. Performances began at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Center on Feb. 25, 2003. Next year, he will play the role on Broadway.


Catherine Zeta-Jones said in a recent interview that in her teen years she did work as backup singer to former Monkee Micky Dolenz.


March 2003 - The First Annual TVLand Awards Show

  • Davy won the TVLand Award for *Favorite Guest Performance by a Musician on a TV Show*! Congrats Davy! He won for his appearance on 'The Brady Bunch'.
  • Davy and Maureen McCormick presented the award for Superest Superhero to Lee Majors.
  • Fans were invited to cheer him on as he walked his way up the red carpet.
  • Davy was mentioned in "The Hollywood Reporter" for March 18-24, 2003 on page 10. Under the caption 'To all the stars who helped make the first TV Land Awards shine...'


In the Jan. 11-17, 2003 issue of Tv Guide '100 Music Moments That Rocked Tv' the Monkees are mentioned on page 46. They made #27 on the list for their debut on NBC on September 12,1966.


On page 22 of the December 2, 2002 issue of People Magazine (Sexiest Man Alive issue) there is a picture of Michael Nesmith along with the caption:
This Old Hat
"Practical, modish and oh, so versatile, the snug-fitting knit cap, which hugs the craniums of so many of today's recording artists, can be traced to our primate ancestry-the Monkees' Michael Nesmith."
