Lost And Lonely©
I was born a year ago today
Every since then, I've been a stray
I never could find a home,
So all I ever did was roam
I lived in the alleys, and on the streets
I dug in trash cans, to find my eats
I bout froze to death, lots of nights
And got into many, many fights
I tried to be friendly to people I'd meet
But all I got was ran off, down the street
I don't know why they kept chasing me away
I only wanted a place to stay
I know I'm not beautiful and purebred and such
But then again, I'm not asking for much
All I want is some love and some care
Is asking that little being so unfair?
I finally thought a home I had found
But then, somehow I ended up at the pound
That family didn't want me either, I guess
I can't understand why they think I'm a pest
In this cage full of unwanted dogs I shall stay
Hoping for a home, day after day
Well they can't keep me here forever, you know
So soon there'll be only one place I can go
I don't want to lose my life, oh.....not yet!
Can't you spare my life and take me as your pet?
Please give me a chance, take me out of this pound
If you give me a chance, I could make a lovable hound
Please give me a home and love for a while
Let this lonely lost dog wag his tail in a smile
