Often called "The Home of Unconditional Love,"  and "A Home for Homeless Veterans" the Steps House is a non-profit corporation founded on November 21, 1991, by Patrick W. White. Our main office is located at 712 Boggs Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee. Steps House is well known as a home of recovery with an emphasis toward helping homeless veterans, mentally ill, alcoholics and addicts recover from their addictions as well as helping them obtain life skills for independent living. Steps House utilizes a well trained staff including several state and nationally licensed counselors in order to provide the best possible services to those we serve.

Our mission is to offer a holistic approach to try to break the cycle of homelessness after years of devastation brought on by problems, disabilities, mental health issues and addiction. With its founding principals based on compassion for our fellow man, love, integrity and patience, Steps House carries a message of hope and concern to all who come in contact with us.
