And yet again, another project is born. I decided to make this project after reading about a protest of about 100-150 Hanson fans at Tulsa's local radio station, K-HITZ. Here is a short excerpt to clue those of you that didn't know about it in:

...the cops were called in when the protesters were accused of blocking the building... K-Hits was not influenced by the protest, but instead just mocked it. When they finally agreed to play "MMMBop" from beginning to end, in an obnoxious ploy, she played the first 15 seconds and then the last 15 seconds. [HansonHouse]

So, what's the project all about? Well, I don't know about you, but I'm tired of NEVER hearing Hanson being played over the radio anymore. Sure, I could just go get the cd, but for some reason it's alot cooler when it's on the radio. Another thing I'm tired of radio stations doing is saying that they won't play Hanson cuz they suck and no one likes them. (Yeah right...keep telling yourselves that, DJ's).

This is where we, as Hanson fans, must step in and stand up for Hanson and their fans. Hanson deserves to get air time and they deserve respect. What I need you to do is e-mail me your name, e-mail address, age, sex, and if you have a particular radio station you'd like to be in on this, send along the name of the radio station, it's e-mail address, request line, and if it has a web-site, the URL, with your info. ProHUO's goal is to reach at least 750 supporters by Jan. 1, 2000. Anyways, this project took grounds on August 22, 1999. Starting from then and on, every few weeks I will e-mail the different radio stations with a petition-like thing saying that as Hanson fans, we would like to hear more of Hanson played on air and then I'll state all the names given and their info. Once the station has made an effort to take what we have to say into consideration, or in other words, reply in a polite manner, they will be taken off of the main list (not the list on-line...just e-mail).

Even though ProHUO launched on the 22nd of August, PLEASE keep sending in your information.

*Some of you have been concerned that the petition/e-mail to the radio stations will be harsh, cruel, and completely rude. No, the only way NOT to get somewhere is to be rude about it. I promise that the petition will contain just words that will firmly get our point across in a polite way. Thanks for your concern.*
