Computers

We sell and service PC clones for a variety of individuals and institutions. We have a conservative approach and try to deal in the "real world." This means we usually try to sell "middle of the road" equipment that has been well proven in the marketplace. We don't experiment with our customer's money and we stand behind what we sell. This also means that we seldom sell cutting edge products because they are usually untested by heavy general use, carry premium prices and are seldom really required by the end use.

We got into the business by accident. There was no honest, reliable local source for parts and service so we had to furnish our own. Others saw what we were doing and wanted us to help them. It soon grew to a small business, which is exactly where we plan to keep it. We don't advertise or solicit computer business. We don't sell on credit. We won't sell it if it makes no sense why you want it. We prefer to sell only hardware we personally use.

Operating a computer graphics business gives us plenty of chances to see what really works and what doesn't. We (GASP!) still use 486s. They do the things we want them to do in places where blazing speed isn't really important. So, why pay the bill on a Pentium III when we would never notice the difference? Want a 600 Gigablitz processor to surf the net? We would be more likely to steer you to a processor at a fourth the price and put the leftover money in an Awsome 3000 video card, plenty of memory and a really good modem.

Look for more in the next few weeks.
