Girl Scout Badge Program

• Horse Fan Badge
• Horse Rider Badge
• An Alternative Meeting Site

At Lucky Rooster Farm we believe in the Girl Scout program and we enjoy teaching young people. To help the girls earn their horse-related merit badges, we offer special lesson/clinics.

To participate in one of our lesson/clinics with your Scout Troop, you must first decide which badge you want to work on. Typically the first is the Horse Fan Badge which covers a lot of basic Horsemanship Information. Once that badge has been earned, the Horse Rider Badge can follow with some basic riding skills and safety around the horse and barn. Each Girl Scout must have a LRF Liability Statement signed by their parent prior to the date of the lesson/clinic.

A deposit based on the number of scouts in the troop is necessary to hold the date. Poor weather conditions will require the lesson/clinic be rescheduled.

Typically the Horse Fan Badge will require at least a two hour block of time.

The Horse Rider Badge requires a two hour program which covers both horsemanship and basic riding skills.
