Pastor
Harold D. McCowan was born in Athens,Tn. to
Robert and Mattie McCowan. He attended elementary school in
Athens along with his five brothers and one sister. |

After
graduation from McMinn County High School, Harold McCowan served in U.S. Army division of the Armed Forces. After two years of service and an Honorable Discharge he entered the workforce. He later attended Cleveland
State College for one year.
In June of 1977, Harold McCowan received salvation and began
to walk with God. After years of development of his relationship
with God, and by the direction of the Holy Spirit,

Harold
McCowan started Overcoming Faith Christian Center in 1985, a
non-denominational church in Athens, Tn.
Pastor McCowan began teaching Sunday School at the church of
his youth, Oak Grove Baptist Church. By the direction of the Holy
Spirit, Pastor McCowan started a small bible study group that
later grew into the Overcoming Faith Christian Center of today.
Harold D. McCowan currently resides in Cleveland,Tn.
