Biography
Hi and welcome to my web page. Allow me to introduce myself.
I was born in Louisville, Ky, and raised nearby in the small town of Shepherdsville (named after John Shepherd who settled the town in the 18th century). After high school I attended Saint Louis University for 4 years and graduated with a BS in meteorology and a mathematics minor. Thereafter, I moved west again to attend the University of Oklahoma for graduate studies in meteorology. I received a Master's degree in 1997 and a PhD in 2000. I am now a research scientist at the Center for the Analysis and Prediction of Storms at OU and Director of NETRAD Operations for CASA.
My interests are lengthy (meaning I have way too many of them!). I spend most of my leisure time at sporting events, movies, swing dancing, and playing hearts with many close friends (see the "Friends" link). However, I also enjoy tennis, running, short story writing, and occasionally, chasing storms. For all my other interests not listed here, please "browse" my links.
Have fun and enjoy!
