Halloween Edibles

I just love to eat!!!

So, with that in mind, here are a few sites with some great recipies. A vote exchange friend of mine has some wonderful ideas on her site.
Calico Canyon's Halloween Recipies.
I especially like the Martha Stewart recipies!

I like to use Libby's canned pumpkin for most of my recipies. I know...there's nothing like fresh pumpkin. But let's get real...who has the time!
So here is their site Libby's Pumpkin Recipies

One of my sister fae has finished her Halloween page. It's called In the Kitchen with D'Troublesome Fairy. Why not drop by and see who...oopps...I mean what she's cookin' up!

One set of recipies I've been looking for is Halloween drinks (non-alcoholic, please!). If you have any and would like to submit them, go ahead!
I'll give you the credit and a link to your site!
Just remember, they have got to be easy to make and tasty to drink!

My Favorites

Ghosts in the Graveyard

3 1/2 cups cold milk
2 pkgs. (4-serving size) Jello-O Chocolate Instant Pudding
1 tub (12 oz.) Cool Whip
1 pkg. (16 oz.) chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed.
HINT: Crush cookies in zipper plastic bag with a rolling pin or in a food processor.

Make pudding as directed on package using 3 1/2 cups milk;
let stand 5 minutes.
Stir in 3 cups of the whipped topping and 1/2 of the crushed cookies.
Spoon into 13" x 9" dish. Sprinkle with remaining crushed cookies. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Decorate with candy, rectangular sandwich cookies (tombstones) and spoonsful of whipped topping (ghosts).

~~ This is also a great idea when put in 4 oz. cups for children's parties.
~~To make the low-fat, low-calorie version, just substitute low-calorie Jell-O pudding and low-fat Cool Whip!

Pumpkin Patch Pie

1 pint orange sherbert, softened (2 cups)
1 tub (8 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed
1 Oreo Pie Crust (9 inch)
9 Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, crushed.

Place sherbert in bowl; stir until smooth. Stir in 1/2 of the Cool Whip until well blended. Spoon into crust. Sprinkle with shipped Oreo cookies, pressing firmly into sherbert. Cover with remaining Cool Whip.

Freeze 4 hours or until firm. Let stand at room temperature 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with finely chopped Oreo cookies and candy pumpkins, if desired. Store leftover pie in freezer. Makes 8 servings.

~~For more intense orange color, stir in a few drops each of red and yellow food coloring.
