Sienna's story is a long and hard one already.
After 20 weeks of blissful growth and comfort with her twin brother Griffin,little Sienna's twin world was changed forever.
After a long 4 weeks in the hospital, twin brother - Griffin decided that
momi and dadi learned all they were to learn from him and was
called back to the creator. Sienna however, was not finished teaching
us life lessons. She stayed inside the womb fighting off a high dosage of Oxitocin - the labour inducing drug.
After 2 uneventful weeks in the Ottawa General Hospital Momi and unborn Sienna went home. 7 weeks after the delivery of her twin brother, Sienna decided her time inside the womb was done. At 31 weeks 3 days Sienna Riel was born weighing 4lbs 4oz and 18 3/4inches long.
She spent 1 week in an isolette and 2 weeks being fed by gavage (tube feeding) Total hospitalization for Sienna after birth was an amazing 3 weeks. She came home March 8th weighing 5lbs 2oz and 20 inches long. Here are some more photos of our little miracle.
