servant

for even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

- Mark 10:45

thats the memory verse for this week in that study that i am doing.

Jesus was and is so awesome.

it freaks me out when i talk about someone from my past that i havent talked to or seen in a long time and then i inadvertanly run into them. that happened tonight.

we talked about the first real love of my life at supper tonight. her name is sabrina and she dumped me the day after prom my senior year after a year and a half long relationship. but im not bitter or anything.

i dont even remember why her name was even brought up, but we were talking about her. then, later when i was in the grocery store i noticed this beautiful couple walk by me. it was a few seconds later when i realized exactly who it was.

she looked incredible, and for a split second, i almost missed her. almost.

get off of me, she was the first person that i thought i loved.

anyway.

lets see, what have i done this week?

what havent i done this week? i've done something out every night this week. im going to miss that freedom when school starts back.

monday i went to revival at nicole's church. i sat up in the balcony with her while she worked the video screen. the evangelists name is Brother Keith something or other, and he was awesome. monday night he talked about getting things right with others. during the invitation he encouraged people to go to people that they had had a problem with and to get it right. he also encouraged people that owed others money to pay it off that night. i actually witnessed a couple of people paying their debts. and it was cool.

tuesday night i went back, and it was just that much better. i sat in the balcony again with nicole. this time Brother Keith preached on the will of God. he talked about those who are called to be preachers need to get their college out of the way before they can do the work of God. but he also talked about getting your license to preach early in life. well, this got me thinking. should i go ahead and get that from my church, or should i wait? its definitely something that i will be praying about.

last night i went back to my church. i played with andy during the praise time. we decided that not only are we going to play the old praise songs, but we are also going to write our own songs. im always down with that. i already have the chorus for a new song in my head. go me or something.

tonight i went to see much ado about nothing at kate and lorna's high school. i was impressed with the acting and the stage and costume design. i was also very disappointed in the crowd. i was definitely the minority there and im not used to that. not that i am racist or anything like that, but they talked through the whole performance. it was all i could do to try and hear what they were saying on stage and most of the time i couldnt. other than that, it was really good.

tomorrow night i am going to go see jars of clay. im kinda looking forward to it even though im not a huge fan of theirs.

saturday is a work day at the church. so, i'll be working there all morning. then, i have to come home and cut the grass here as well.

fun.

im not sure if we are having bible study this week or not. so im not quite sure what i will be doing after all of that thrilling work. coughcoughnotcoughcoughcough

i have some more things to talk about, but im kinda tired. i promise to have something new and exciting here tomorrow. i may even make mention of my mother and how i feel about her in the next entry.

im sorry that this is so short and boring and pointless, but i am having serious problems trying to keep my eyes open while staring at this screen.

anyway, tomorrow is my online friend and sister in Christ, sondra's 19th birthday. everyone go read her journal and tell her how good it is. and while you are at it, send her an online birthday card, wont you? she would appreciate that.

anyway, until then, i am going to make like a baby and head out.
