The Adare Manor Hotel.
A renowned gourmet restaurant, surrounded by beautiful paneled walls and ceilings, dining
in the Adare Manor Hotel is an exquisite experience. The restaurant has a modern
Irish cuisine, with a set menu or a La Carte (a variety of Vegetarian options are
available); the service is top class, warm and very friendly. Diners can view the
geometrical Box gardens and the peaceful Maigue river flowing serenely past the
Restaurant's magnificent bay windows.

The Maigue (
The Dunraven Arms Hotel, Main Street)
Called after the river "Maigue", which flows peacefully through the village of Adare,
the renowned multi-award winning, French Cuisine "Maigue" Restaurant has received
the highest accolades for it's superb cuisine. The chef and its brigade of experts are
reputed for their creativity and selection of fine dishes, using only fresh local product.
Three AA rosettes for food, Gilbey's Gold Medal award, Egon Ronay, Mouton Cadet and Bord

The Wild Geese (Main Street)
Housed in what looks like an oversized dolls house behind a walled cottage garden, the "Wild
Geese" Restaurant is a series of cosy rooms with it's open fires and clutter of Victoriana.
The tasteful style and emphasis use of the best of fresh, local, produce, from land and sea,
has made this one of Limerick's most sought after eateries. Quality and taste are the

The
Woodlands Hotel (Knockanes, Croom Road)
The "Brennen Room", in the Hotel, is a very popular, award-winning, Restaurant among
locals and visitors, providing the best of Irish country-style cooking, in a warm,
friendly, atmosphere. The Restaurant is renowned for it's extensive trolley of delicious
homemade desserts. Opened, daily, all year, Dinner is served from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
Sunday lunch is served from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.
As an addition service, informal dining is accommodated in "Timmy Macs", a
traditional Irish bar and bristo, which serves a very good a LA Carte menu, along with late

The Arches (Main Street)
This family run restaurant is renowned for it's good home cooked food and beautiful salads.
The Restaurant, also, prides itself on the quality, variety, reasonable prices and good

The Blue Door (Main street)
Step behind the "Blue Door" restaurant and experience the old world, thatched cottage,
atmosphere. Enjoy lunch or an evening dinner with some real Irish food, including homemade

The Dovecot Restaurant (in the Heritage Centre, Main street)
Enjoy lunch or evening dinner and savour some authentic Irish cuisine. This casual bristo-style Restaurant provides a warm welcome and friendly service. A La Cart menu.
The Bia Cafe (Main street)
Sit and relax with a cup of tea or coffee and pick from a wide range of snacks. An extensive lunch menu is on offer, including some really delicious deserts.
The Golden Dragon (Killarney Road)
Enjoy the best of Chinese cuisine in a warm, friendly, atmosphere. A wide variety of, reasonable priced, Chinese dishes are available, including Beef, Pork, Chicken, Duck and Seafood. Specialties include a variety of Rice, Noodle, Curry and Chop Suey dishs, etc. Open daily from 5pm to 12.
The Pink Potato (Killarney Road)
A fast food Restaurant, offering a variety of inexpensive, freshly cooked food. Fresh fish & chips is a specialty.

Many of the public houses "Pubs" in and near Adare village serve bar-food, during the day, in addition to the wide variety of drinks, which are available. The main "Pubs" are:
Lena’s (Bill & Ann Chawke - Main Street)
Traditional Irish music every Wednesday night. Home cooked bar food is served all day. Sports bar section includes Projector Screen TV & Pool Table.
O'Coileain (Collins Bar - Main Street)
A family run bar, renowned for good conversation, good beer, stories, humor and serving good quality food that everyone can afford, including soups, sandwiches, fresh salmon, Irish Stew, Salads, etc. Irish coffee is a specialty of the house.
Bill Chawke (Killarney Road)
Now owned by the late Bill's son, Charlie, who is the most famous publican in Dublin. Renowned for it's laid back friendly atmosphere and personal attention. Live music at weekends. Beer Garden.
Sean Collins (Killarney Road)
Enjoy your drink in a wonderful atmosphere. Famous for Traditional Irish music & Karaoke music nights.
Dunraven Arms Hotel (Main Street)
Enjoy a drink and good food in the distinctive elegance and traditional charm of this 200-year-old hotel. The hotel offers an Old World ambience of a country house, along with first class service and friendly, efficient, staff. The main lounge is a recognised, famous, meeting place, while the sun lounge has it's own pleasant atmosphere, looking out on the beautiful gardens of the hotel.
Adare Manor Hotel
Directly across from the Dunraven Arms hotel is the entrance to the Adare Manor, which was, up to quite recently, the mansion home of the Earls of Dunraven, but is now an elegant luxury hotel, surrounded by 1,000 acres of emerald green pasture, woodland and ancient ruins. The Manor is situated over one mile from the big ornamental gates, at the entrance. Along with a walk around the majestic grounds, a visit to the Hotel's reception room and the lounge bar, which is surrounded by splendid paneled walls, ceilings and many other ornate fittings, is an exquisite experience and is a "must" during your visit to Adare. The downstairs "Tack Room” bar is renowned for it's good quality bar food, as well as a famous meeting place.
The Woodlands Hotel (Knockanes, Croom Road)
Set in it's own private grounds, about two miles on the outskirts of Adare village, the main lounge in this family-run hotel is called "The Woodcock Bar" and is renowned for it's friendly atmosphere, serving quality bar-food all day long. The famous "Timmy Macs" is a traditional Irish bar and bristo, which serves the best in good beer, food and music, every evening, as well as providing great craic.
