BYE BYE BYE Video

Okay there's this girl, and she's the girl that they talk about in the song. She cuts 2 strings (the puppet strings) and then it shows her chasing them on a train. Then she cuts two more strings and they're doing like a car chase string... and every time she cuts 2 more strings they show her chasing them in some way. Then they show them acting like puppets on the stage and then somewhere in the story line they're in this like huge like room that spins upside down and they're dancing.I hear it's awesome and everyone will absolutely LOVE it! Then they're doing this thing in the air hanging from strings acting like puppets and doing amazing choreography and singing!

"Last night on the radio station here in Vegas (98.5 KLUC), they talked to Chris's stunt-double for the new video! He said Chris was trying to beef up, and he was trying to slim down so they could match body sizes! Yesterday he said, the part they filmed was where the guys are running on top of a moving train, and today they were going to be chased by some girl. I guess the girl is a model, and she's on the cover of Gear magazine. He's supposed to call the radio station back either tonight or tomorrow night, cuz the DJ wants some dirt on the guys!"
Stunt doubles are being used due to the use of pyrotechnics. There will also be a lot of dancing. JC is gonna be running up a down escalator and Justin is the one in the car chase scene, and Chris, Joey and Lance are hanging from a train a la Mission Impossible! The video director is Wayne Isham the same guy who directed “I Want It That Way.”

N Sync's Movie: Lance says that they are finalizing plans now. They were submitted several scripts and the first script they received was like a sequel to the Spice Girls movie. The guys did not want to do any movie in that field; They don't want to play *NSYNC. He says they'd probably do the soundtrack for the movie. 'NSYNC Lines Up Release Dates In Wake Of Settlement
With their legal tussle with Trans Continental Media mogul Louis J. Pearlman now behind them, the boys of 'NSYNC have lined up release dates for a new single and new album. As we first reported last month, 'NSYNC reached a settlement with Pearlman and BMG Entertainment, effectively putting aside the $150 million lawsuit that Pearlman and company had filed against the boy band (see "'NSYNC, Jive, BMG And Pearlman Settle Lawsuit").
Now the group is free to release its new album, "No Strings Attached," on Jive Records on March 7. The first salvo will arrive much sooner than that, when "Bye Bye Bye," the album's first single, hits radio on January 17 (the same night the group will debut the song on the American Music Awards). 'NSYNC will also aim for a bit of unconventional exposure when the group shoots an episode of "Sesame Street" next month.
Specifics of the settlement deal remain confidential, but Zomba Recording (which owns the group's new label, Jive Records) agreed to extend its North American BMG Entertainment distribution deal for at least one year, and BMG will earn royalties on future 'NSYNC recordings. Meanwhile, the boy band retains the all-important control of the name '"NSYNC."

BRITNEY 'N DUET Britney is doing a duet with a member from 'N Sync and we just found out that JC is the lucky (?) guy who's going to make a duet with her, from an anonymous subscriber. Britney's album which is still untitled is coming out on May, 17th.

-- Justin Timberlake, J.C. Chasez, Joey Fatone Jr., Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass -- indicate the members of the group earned only $19,905 each in 1997, and $38,484 each in 1998, the year their debut CD and Christmas CD came out and dominated the pop charts. Itemized expense reports show just what it takes to keep the group on the road and on the charts. 'N Sync, like most pop groups, is billed by its record company for the costs of its videos (well over $300,000), and the costs of musicians, dancers and choreographers and others it takes on tour with it. For instance, the group ran up more than $12,000 in massage bills during a recent tour. On the plus side, there are ticket sales, merchandising, record sales and endorsements from Kellogg's (more than $345,000), Oxy skin products (more than $220,000) and Clairol hair products ($330,000), as well as a Disney special ($100,000). Trans Con says that 'N Sync is owed $2.45 million from its merchandising company, and $5.275 million from BMG. The money issue makes the case a tale of two accountants. David Pierfy, a New Jersey accountant retained by Trans Con to run 'N Sync's affairs, says they each made $10,000 in 1996, the year their contested contract began, $150,000 in 1997, $644,000 in 1998, and more than $6.3 million in 1999. Canceled checks to the five members of the group vary from $10,000 to $15,000 in the first years of existence, to much larger checks cashed "under protest" for $200,000 to $250,000, checks paid out as the group's intention to leave Trans Con became known. Pearlman has often described himself as "the sixth member of 'N Sync," whose work behind the scenes turned the singing group into pop superstars. Members of the group and their representatives have questioned that status, particularly in regard to Pearlman taking one-sixth of the group's earnings, in addition to other fees that go to him or the various arms of his company. Papers filed by his attorneys Tuesday say Pearlman invested $2.7 million in the group, and that he "has made approximately $3.4 million" from 'N Sync. "That $2.7 million is money that he could have lost at any time," had 'N Sync failed to produce hits, Pringle said. Trans Con maintains that the five members of 'N Sync have earned a total of $7 million, and that Johnny Wright, the group's manager, "has received approximately $2.5 million." But 'N Sync's accountant, Howard Comart of New York, takes issue with those figures. In court papers, Comart says that Pearlman's initial investment in the group "never exceeded $206,016" and that he was reimbursed for those expenses by BMG once he signed 'N Sync to them. Comart claims that Trans Con "has collected management commissions in excess of $6.5 million on the known income" received by 'N Sync, through concerts, endorsements, and album and merchandise royalties. Freeman said that she stands behind Comart's accounting, but that his estimates of money owed the group "actually were on the low side." Freeman expects 'N Sync's new record, delayed because of the litigation, to now come out on Jive early in the new year. U.S. Magistrate James Glazebrook is scheduled to mediate today's settlement talks. Barring a settlement, Freeman said that her understanding is that this case won't reach court "until at least 2001."

In the movie "cover girls" Justin plays a supermodel, and he gets a little action *kissing only, dont worry* here is an N terview with justin

Exan: Kicking things off this week, I caught up with busy 'N Sync superstar,

Justin Timberlake, on the set of his TV movie "Cover Girls."

Exan: Justin Timberlake of 'N Sync

Justin: How's it going?

Exan: Welcome back to the Hitlist.

Justin: Thank you, thank you.

Exan: Now, you're going to tell us about this movie, "Cover Girls"; does that mean you get to do a lot of posing?

Justin: Well... I'm not really a girl... so... (laughter)

Exan: Really?

Justin: No, I'm kidding. Um, you know what's funny? I play a supermodel... and, uh... (silence) I just think that's funny, don't you think that's funny?

Exan: Do you really play a supermodel?

Justin: I really play a supermodel!

Exan: Well, the thing is, from being in 'N Sync, you must have learned how to pout just perfect for this part, right?

Justin: Pout?

Exan: See, that was just like an 'N Sync video right here on the spot.

Justin: Yeah. Yeah. There you go. Gimme a little background music. ("Music of My Heart" plays)

Justin: The story is about two girls, um, of two totally different upbringings... who look exactly the same. One of them is a supermodel... um, and the other one is just a regular high school girl. And they meet up with each other and they switch places... uh, thinking they both wanna live in each other's shoes for, you know, a week or two. And total chaos starts to happen. And um--

Exan: Now, your character--

Justin: Yeah.

Exan: Jason--

Justin: Right.

Exan: Does not know that there's two different girls.

Justin: Well, see, yeah, exactly. I'm, I'm, my character's interested in the supermodel, but by the time I actually go on a date with her, the, um, they've switched places, so I'm actually going out with the high school girl thinking that she's the supermodel.

Exan: 'Cause meanwhile I was thinking you get to smooch two different girls.

Justin: W-well... yeah... there is a kissing scene... but... there's, you know what's funny? The, there's one girl playing both parts. So...

Exan: Ooohhhh...

Justin: Yeah, she's getting all the kissing action.

Exan: The secrets of television.

Justin: She gets to kiss two guys, and all that.

Justin: There was two kissing scenes, one that was - a moment - where we kiss, and we haven't done that yet. But, um--I'm definitely excited about it. Um...

Exan: How are you gonna prepare yourself for that, that emotional kissy-kissy scene?

Justin: (smiles) I'm gonna eat garlic. (head bob, head bob) Lots of garlic.

Justin: I'm kinda nervous about the kissing scene. I don't wanna be like... you know, you kinda pull away from the kiss and have a spit string like...

Exan: Well, considering you probably don't have a lot of experience in that area...

Justin: (sarcastically) Right.

Exan: ... I'd be nervous, too.

Justin: (rolling eyes) Sure. Right.

Exan: How did you land this role?

Justin: Um... well... it was really a coincidence, but we took a little time off... um... us five guys, we were just like--just got off a 7-month tour; we were, like, really tired. We ended the tour here in Toronto.

Justin: I don't remember specifically who contacted me, but... um... I guess the production company, you know, got in touch with "my people", you know, then they asked me about it and I was like, you know, and it was, it's just a coincidence the way everything has, has happened, because this summer is when I just started saying, you know, "I wanna get into some acting, wanna do some extra stuff on the side." You know, because we've all kind of ventured off into our own... uh, things. Chris has a clothing line, that he's gonna bring out, called, uh, FuManSkeeto.... Um... Lance is a manager, he just signed one of his artists to Mercury Records, uh, with a country deal, in Nashville... I'm, uh, JC's working with other artists, producing and writing for them, it's just.... We've all kind of started becoming our own, uh, entrepreneurs, so to speak. Um... and this was just something that I wanted to get into as an extra, you know, part of my career, and um, it's just great how everything worked out.
