Dykhuis was glad to be returning home when he heard that he was traded to Montreal since he grew up in Sept-Iles watching the Canadiens every Saturday night. He played junior hockey for coach Alain Vigneault with the Hull Olympiques so playing under Vigneault shouldn't be anything new. He also won a gold medal at the world junior championship in 1992 so his resume is not all that shabby either.
Hopefully the Habs can use him to his full potential. He should be able to help the Habs on defence but now if only he could score some goals like Malakhov . . .
