Audette saw many his share of ups and downs with the Sabres spending 9 seasons with them (1990-1991 to 1997-1998 and a bit of 2000-2001.

Audette had a very successful season with Atlanta, earning him an invitation to the All-Stars. He had 71 points in 64 games before being traded to Buffalo that March.

The Habs traded Dallas for Audette and Shaun Van Allen on November 21 of 2001 while shipping Rucinsky and Brunet to the Stars. Audette should bring plenty of firepower to the Habs when he recovers from a deep cut in his left wrist.
