FAQ & Program Info.

 FAQ

Do I have to schedule an introductory meeting before starting the program?

It is recommended that you do—your teacher, Greg Britt, will be able to help you better after this brief meeting.

When should I set up my 3 private sessions?

You’ll have 3 complete practice tests—one at the beginning, one in the middle, and the last at the end of your program. It’s a good idea to schedule your private sessions right after these tests so that you can review individual errors. But you’re free to schedule the sessions whenever you like.

How many points can I expect to raise my TOEFL score?

Good students can sometimes improve their scores between 40 and 60 points.

Can I get over 600 points in this course?

That depends on your level when you start. If you begin around 550, you should be able to reach 600 with hard work and careful study.

 What’s a good score?

There’s really no “pass” or “fail”. Many national programs and scholarship opportunities are available with scores of 450-500. Most American colleges require 550 and higher. Only the most competitive schools require 600.

 What’s the Institutional TOEFL?

This test is generally accepted on a national level. You’ll use pen and paper to take 3 sections, listening, grammar, and reading. There is no essay on this test (nor speaking section).

What’s the difference between ITP and iBT?

The ITP, or Institutional TOEFL, is not generally accepted for international college admission. The iBT is internet-based and includes testing of integrated skills, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Will this program help me prepare for the iBT?

Yes, it’s a very good pre-iBT course (and required by Greg Britt for iBT classes). This program provides a good foundation in grammar. Even though grammar is not specifically tested on the iBT, it is an important part of the grading criteria and most students will benefit greatly from taking this program before starting to prepare for the iBT.

Can I prepare for the iBT with Greg Britt?

Yes, but only after completing this basic program first... Continue (this is an active link, please click to continue with FAQ.)

TEACHER BIO

Greg Britt is the Director of Britt Language Services, a small institute specializing in TOEFL prep. He has taught TOEFL courses on the college level & at the Britt institute for over 15 years. He's an ESL expert, TESOL certified and has taken numerous TOEFL exams with no error. He is the author of "TOEFL Prep for Chinese Speakers", a text book that is included in his Teacher James program. He's American, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He has lived in Europe, the Bahamas, and Mexico, and wrote a restaurant review article for many years, published by the Miami Herald. Greg invites you to take his TOEFL prep program which is available through Teacher James as an economically-priced, comprehensive, effective program for students preparing to take the ITP (Institutional TOEFL) test. It is also a great pre-iBT course and works well as an advanced grammar/teaching training program too. The program includes about 28 hrs. of recorded, on-demand classes, 4 private sessions with Greg, 3 full-length practice tests with review, and support via email. You'll need to devote about 40 hrs. to work through this course and might expect an improvement of 40-60 points. This program is for intermediate/advanced students. A copy of "TOEFL Prep for Chinese Speakers" is included in the course, at no extra cost, as an ebook download. This book includes numerous explanations of rules, structures, and tips in Chinese characters (Simple Chinese). Greg is also available to teach you privately. You can study ITP (with his book included) or iBT TOEFL (requires purchase of an additional book, "Delta's Key to the Next Generation TOEFL Test"). Feel free to email Greg for any questions you might have.

This complete, effective TOEFL prep program is available for a limited time at an incredible introductory price of only 100.80 USD!

After you make your payment, Greg will be in touch with you via email to schedule your first intro. meeting. You'll also be given a link to the eClassroom and the password info. for the eBook download. You'll have unlimited email support and access to all class files.

Like your intro. meeting with Greg, your 3 private sessions will be scheduled via email, preferable just after taking and reviewing your 3 practice tests. For all "live" sessions you'll be sent a link to click at the agreed on time and hour. Then you'll be automatically directed to an OnSync session as an active participant with Greg (nothing to download). Greg Britt has an account with OnSync and we can schedule your personal meetings through that interface (the same as the TeacherJames eClassroom) or Skype. All on-demand classes were recorded through OnSync.

You'll hopefully find that this program is very user-friendly and well organized. You should not have any problems with any component--all links have been carefully checked. But if you have any question, problem, or difficulty, you can contact Greg by email, phone, or Skype (greg.britt) for support.

That's it! All we have to do now is get you started by paying for the program. You can make your payment right now with a credit/debit card through PayPal.
By clicking the Pay Now button, you'll be prompted to make a secure, on-line PayPal payment, which we'll be advised of immediately and will contact you via email.

If you prefer, you can make your payment through TeacherJames. Higher fees apply to cover commissions (+20% for eClassroom, +5% for Skype). The TeacherJames "in person" rate is the same (the lowest available rate for this course).

Thanks!
