The South Of England Hamster Club is dedicated to encouraging the keeping, breeding and exhibiting of hamsters, and caters for members throughout the southern region. The club is keen to encourage new owners of hamsters to get more out of this fascinating hobby, experienced members are only too happy to give advice and share ideas with other members on the various aspects of hamster keeping.
The club holds a number of shows at various venues throughout the area at approximately bi -monthly intervals. There are classes for both Syrian and Dwarf hamsters, covering all colour varieties and Junior and Pet classes are also held. At the shows, new members are always made very welcome and they provide an excellent opportunity to meet people with a shared interest in hamsters. They often take place at larger events, like country shows, where there are other things for the rest of the family to do! The Secretaries will happily help you with the information needed to enter your hamster(s).
