Time is Running Out

Now their is no time at all

To even stop and rest,

The stress and tension is rising up

And filling up my chest.

Running and running

Never slowing in this pace,

The fear of a little girl

Is written on my face.

“Hurry, Hurry” the voices say,

But I can’t take time to glance.

The race grows harder

And to slow I’d take the chance

Of never reaching or getting there

To the place where I strive.

I long to finish to quit this race,

But I can’t ‘til I’m no longer alive.
