After Valentines

I stand in the rain

As I watch him fade away

I want to run and stop him

Just to make him stay.

But I’m completely silent

I just let him go.

It isn’t his fault,

And I don’t want him to know,

He’s what kept me breathing

When my whole world was shattered,

He’s what kept me living

When nothing else mattered.

But now my reason is gone

And I’m lost in despair.

I’ve been left alone

No one’s left to care.

So I turn my back and cry,

As I tell “the keeper of my soul”, goodbye.
