The Day You Died
As I stand here
Tears fall from my eyes,
I brought this rose
To say my goodbyes.
I lift my gaze
To the sky,
Where you don’t weep,
Where you don’t cry.
I know you’re in heaven
Where you look down upon me,
But your grave
Is all that I can see.
Often I lay crying on my bed,
Oh, how I wish
You were not dead.
Constantly
I have cried,
As I remembered
The Day you died.
