Spring SHOW results
The finalized results from the Spring show, will be published in a later newsletter.

Accolades go out to all the youth participating in this show. If these young people are any indication of the caliber of the TLBT, this organization will be in excellent hands in the coming years. Gretchen Kinder stepped down as the OTLBT president passing this on to Jerimy Flowers. The vice president will be Emily Greenmeyer. Gretchen was the president of the TLBT and OTLBT for 1997 and she is doing a marvelous job of representing Oklahoma Longhorn breeders in this organization. If you are new to showing, be sure to enter the animal in the YOUTH classes, as they are more than willing to assist when possible. This is a great way to introduce youth to the tremendous animal that we are so fond of. CONGRATULATIONS go out to the YOUTH who volunteered themselves to be sold as slaves at the SPRING SHOW. They raised $715 in this endeavor . WHAT AN EXCELLENT IDEA ! Believe me, these folks worked VERY HARD for those SLAVE dollars!

OTLA bylaws- There is a proposal to ammend these rules. There will be a vote at the next general membership meeting to amend the bylaws . The first rule to be amended will be for ARTICLE 3 Paragraph 3.01.. to lower the maximum age for “YOUTH” members to 18 years old. The current age is 21 years old for a youth member..
