Life is not easy for martial artist Ranma Saotome. Not so long ago, his father insisted they go to a cursed training ground called Jusenkyô, in mainland China. Good ol' pop, who doesn't speak a word of Chinese, obviously didn't read the manual, and next thing he knows, father and son fall into cursed springs.
From now on, when splashed with cold water, daddykins turns into a 7th panda and Ranma ---well--- into a female version of himself, with red hair and ...ahem... good proportions.
But the fun doesn't stop there, no sireebob! Then, much to Ranma's annoyance, he's dragged back to Japan because he's going to meet his ---gasp!--- fiancee!
But wait, there's more! Not only his fiancee, Akane, hates his guts, soon other freaks drop by, from a boy who turns into a pig, to a certain upperclassman in love with girl-type Ranma, not to mention the other two fiancees out to marry him or kill him, whichever comes first. What's a poor half-guy, half-girl to do?
