Goliath:
The leader of the clan. A very big gargoyle with a very big sense of duty and honor. He's very strong and a bit naive at times. He's very protective of his daugther, Angela. Too bad he can't stand his ex-wife (of sorts), Demona, specially since she constantly tries to come between him and his 'special friend' Elisa Maza.
Lexington, Brooklyn and Broadway:
A trio of young gargoyles. Brooklyn is Goliath's second, Broadway is Angela's mate and Lexington is, pardon the expresion, a computer nerd. All of them are excelent warriors, and have a strong friendship that goes way back, ever since they were hatchlings one thousand years ago.
Hudson:
Hudson is the oldest gargoyle in the clan, Goliath used to be his second. Though he usually stays behind while the others patrol NY, he is still a superb fighter. Bronx is the clan's dog. Since he doesn't have wings, it's tough to take him on patrol, so he stays back with Hudson.
Demona:
An inmortal gargoyle, once Goliath's mate and second, now enemy of the clan. She is a very disturbed gargoyle, and she's bent on destroying humanity, claiming they are responsible for all her life's problems. (Too bad she turns into a human in daylight, courtesy of a spell by Puck) She is Angela's biological mother, and she tries to talk Angela into joining her fight against humanity.
Elisa Maza:
The gargoyles' most trusted human ally. She is a NYPD detective. She has been with them all the way and the clan considers her as part of their own. Elisa and Goliath have a special relantionship. (They kissed once, you make up your mind.) To Demona, she is her most hated human, and has tried to kill her more than once. (Jealous, maybe?)
David Xanatos:
David was the millionare that woke up the gargoyles. A cunning business man, he woke them to manipulate them. He is married to Fox, wife, mother, ex-mercenary. Before the birth of their son, The Xanatos entretained themselves with schemes involving the innocent gargoyles. But after Alex's birth, their personalities have changed a bit, and now they try restore amends with the gargoyles. In fact, the sudden change of heart was produced in Alex's birth, when the Lord of Avalon, Oberon, and Titania, his wife (and Fox's mother) tried to kidnap the baby to take him to the mistical Avalon, home of all feys, to teach him magic. The gargoyles helped prevent the kidnapping. Both Alex and Fox are part fey.
Owen Burnett/Puck:
Two sides of the same coin, they are actually a he. As Owen Burnett, he is Xanatos assistant and the closest thing he has for a best friend. Owen is blond, blue eyed, very serious, and he has a stone hand. (don't ask) As Puck, he is the legendary trickster from A Midsummer's Night's Dream, and Lord Oberon ex-servant. Puck has white-hair, pointy ears and, unlike Owen, he has a wicked sense of humor. Puck was banished from Avalon when he dared to attack Oberon, in favor of his human boss, Xanatos, in the battle for Alexander. He was restrained to using his powers to teach or protect Alex. If he wants to do some magic, he has to include Alex somehow. Puck was the one who turned Demona into a human during the day. Neither Owen or Puck are trusted by the gargoyles, due to his mischievous nature.
