The day after I lost Bengy and Jesse, I went to the pet store and bought another
cockatiel, that resembled a lot of the guys.
Barry is a physically challenged bird, with no nails on
his feet. I brought him home expecting to hand tame him but Barry is very
shy and acts like he has been abused. He is a good singer and he dances
with his head bobbing up and down. He is a very quiet bird, who is a lonely
and very private bird.
I bought Barry on July 11th, 1997 and he is named after
Barry Gibb from the Bee Gee's.
All the pets I have are three birds, one cat and one small
Chihuahua puppy.
Correction as of March 98 Barry is no longer with me I had to give him away due to territorial reasons. I miss Barry so much and still have his picture up because he will always be a part of me. Barry Im sorry I had to give you away.
Here is a photo of Barry and my cat Philly on the floor
together. As you can see, Philly doesn’t hurt the birds at all. He loves
them and they all get along very good.
Barry has his own cage, with smaller perches for his little
feet and he finds walking on an ordinary perch is hard on his feet.
I love all my animals very much.
