under construction For some people religion is a private deal with God. They expect a few personal priveleges in return for following a few rules. It seems fair to them that other people who do not follow the rules should not enjoy their priveleges.
Jesus had a different way of looking at things. The teaching of Jesus and particularly his parables present a different vision.
The Law and the Prophets were concerned with the salvation of the nation of Israel. Jesus fulfills that hope and extends it to everyone.
