3/24 - I'm 21 now! Woohoo! Kegger! No, I'm far too much the nerd for that. I did, however, get giggly on margaritas. I bought a domain (go check out my birthday present to myself, but I'm also working on the new Shinji and Kaworu shrine, I have a new layout planned for KOR, and I'm working (slowly...) on a Kenshin and Kaoru lemon.
3/17 - New look for the main page and guestbook! Waiwai!
3/11 - The candy-colored new Sana and Hayama shrine is available now. Not fully complete, but I felt I ought to have SOMEthing to show... it's been nearly a full month since I unveiled the Van and Hitomi shrine.
3/1 - The Kenshin and Kaoru shrine has some new images, most notably from my new doujinshi. I restored the Escaflowne ring fragment to its rightful place. I've been making banners, though none of them are up yet.
2/15 - The Van and Hitomi page opened today. I also, belatedly, changed the When Love Is the Salvation layout in honor of the Ranma and Akane page. I also corrected the link to the Eva doujinshi, and did a few similarly minor things.
2/10 - The Van and Hitomi shrine is on its way! The unveiling will be sometime in the coming week, probably. In other news, I've added more doujinshi scans to the Kenshin and Kaoru page, and I'm considering scanning in and posting some of my fanart. As this page approaches its one-year-anniversary... egads, I've been involved with this longer than most of my friends take to get engaged... I could have had a child in this amount of time... Ororo...
1/31 - Official unveiling of the Ranma and Akane shrine. Next up, Van and Hitomi.
1/4 - I survived! I really did! And I made the Miaka and Tamahome page into a shrine, as well.
12/17 - I've completed my reworking of the Kenshin and Kaoru section, which is now a page in its own right. My goal is to make this into a collective of full pages, maybe leaving one or two at the level they currently occupy... I mean, I just don't have the knowledge or interest for the Sailor Moon couples or Keiichi and Belldandy. Sorry. Miaka/Tamahome and Van/Hitomi will get overhauled soon, though. Plus, now that finals are over I can FINALLY get around to some other things I've planned...
12/12 - A couple of days ago I set up the Christmas layout for the front page. Isn't it cute? I'm contemplating switching "voice" to a holiday look too, despite Gavin's protests (yeah, he's my main consultant.) I've been plugging away at expanding the Kenshin & Kaoru shrine into a webpage in its own right. Following it should be Miaka & Tamahome, and after them, Van and Hitomi (who, to be fair, have slightly more content on their existing page than do Miaka and Tama.) After them, I don't know. Shinji and Kaworu, probably, but that would be more a matter of reorganizing than anything, and it might get done first. The more I think about it, the easier it'd be. Also, I added the hentaifreefree link, and my rather rushed essay, which will probably be revised a time or two. I'm waiting to see if that gets any reaction.
12/7 - The near-weekly ritual, only this time I *do* have an update. I've added images to Escaflowne (some new findings) Ranma (a scan or two, courtesy of Gavin-chan, and a couple of fresh edited images) Kodocha (two new edited images) and Fushigi Yuugi (Gavin-scans, and lots of them.) Someday soon, I promise, I will get around to doing all the stuff I promised myself I'd do, like thanking the people who need thanks (other than Gavin), returning guestbook signings, stuff like that. I also have grandiose plans for expansion, and a parallel site called "Rivals"... images for that are being gathered already.
12/1 - Just checking in to register the fact that I haven't updated in recent memory. Maybe this coming weekend or something.
11/24 - I'm giving thanks for the fact that I survived taking my history exam. And after that, I finished my revision of my site into three separate but more-or-less equal sections. The new incarnation of what used to be the Subcouples page is now Darling!, and the new "Other" page is called Cruise Missiles (on the page, it makes sense.) They've acquired a few new additions and some shifting, so they're now organized more on thematic lines than on the amount of images I could find. There may be some new images here and there, other than on the all-new Utena page. And I know I added a couple of images of Ukyo with Ryoga, so all you freaks that like them together can go look at... images you can find everywhere else on the web! Yay! The new pages are, indeed, hosted on Geocities. Gomen, but... my stats show that most of you are using 4.x+ browsers, so I figured it wouldn't be too much of a hassle, and I had all this nice free webspace left over at my Kaoru shrine. There's still updates to be made and some changes and improvements, but I figure it's a start for now, eh?
11/14 - ::You see a huge pile of textbooks. They start heaving and bouncing like a living thing, or possibly two living things, fighting, under a blanket that looks remarkably like books. Finally, a little chibi-webmistress, like the one on the front page but with a chibi-body too, emerges, Antony and Cleopatra lodged in her skull as if she had been clobbered with it for hentai-ness. She pushes her hair off her face, not dislodging the book, and speaks:: Since Monday I've had some new images up on the Keiichi and Belldandy page. I fixed the problem with the Usagi and Mamoru gallery, and I'm going to add some images to it someday or other. Maybe tonight if I can make Internations stop playing adorably mischievous pranks like stalling in mid-upload or putting up empty files. I'm giving myself a partial night off in the midst of a study regimen that makes cram school sound fun, so I thought I'd at least post that update. Have a blast. Oh, and, um... if you've signed my guestbook in recent memory, like the last few months, or emailed me and not received a reply... Gomen nasai. I really will do justice by you all sooner or later. I also have grandiose plans... additions, improvements, vast numbers of never-before-seen doujinshi scans... Someday. Pray for me. ::burrows back into the books, but the faint sound of typing can be heard as well... don't ask how she does it...::
11/6 - I have some new images to put up tomorrow or Monday, and as Crosswinds is possibly stable again you'll probably have a return (and maybe even some minor updates) on the MIA pages. I may put my preferred couple of Yukino and Arima on the front page and relegate Usagi and Mamoru to the "Other" page so I won't feel like I need to update them. There's only so much kawaii a girl can take, especially in term paper season. I feel a rant brewing, so I'll just go back to reading about the legal rights of Tudor women. And I may eventually spew my rant, but I'm to cravenly dedicated to serving my visitors to ever do that, probably.
11/2 - I've taken down the sub-couple and "other" pages until I can fix them up some. Or at least, I've de-linked them. As most were on Crosswinds anyway, it's no great loss. And I want to minimize the number of annoying popup windows you'll encounter on your way. I've also added some images to the Shinji/Kaworu pages, and I fixed my most glaring mistake... failing to link up the Keiichi and Belldandy gallery. My idiocy astounds me, sometimes.
10/29 - The new pages have now been linked up -- I call them new because they are, after all, substantially different. Most pages have new images, the galleries are now on a separate page from the text stuff for all but Shinji and Kaworu (there's a reason for that, though,) the colors have been revised on several and made browser-safe on almost all (I think I missed on Orange Road), and other revisions have been made; broken links and images corrected, some links added, text revised, my reprehensible HTML is now only horrifying... you get the idea. All that remains is for me to move the sub- and image-sparse couples to Internations, a task I may not even undertake; just leave them on Crosswinds, which will improve after they upgrade.
10/28 - I'm a liberal arts major dangit! It's not MY fault I have to read about 500 pages worth of truly horrific mental noodlings every week! Okay. I'm slowly moving all the pages from Crosswinds to a new server. I say slowly because that's 800+ files to upload. But when it's done, you'll finally have updates a bit more substantial than my usual "Look, three new images!"
10/4 - Can you tell I'm busy with school? I have added new images to Shinji/Kaworu and Miaka/Tamahome as of now. I've also created a new, better KareKano page, so go there.
9/24 - An actual update! ::the peasants rejoice:: A couple new Mamoru & Usagi pics, one new Keiichi/Belldandy, fixed a link... Not much objectively, but it's a start, eh? I found some new things I want to put up, as well, mostly for the Sailor Moon couples right now, but once I get access to all my files I'll have new pictures for the Kenshin/Kaoru, Van/Hitomi, Sana/Hayama, and Miaka/Tamahome pages. Woo. Work piles up...
9/21 - Been a while, eh? School's taking over my life. However, I did make a few minor changes; linked up a page that featured a Shinji/Kaworu doujinshi, did a couple of things like that.
8/29 - I've been really depressed for a while. I can tell when it happens because I get really, really touchy about minor things, and my physical body turns against me. However, I did put up the Ukyo page. And I watched "Shakespeare in Love." Good movie. Depressing, but I'm glad they ended it the way they did.
8/24 - New headlines for the KOR pages, slight revision to the Kenshin and Kaoru page. Made a better-looking link to my guestbook. Added links for the El-Hazard pages, I think.
8/22 - Sigh. Classes start tomorrow. Changes made? Nothing major. I made new headers for the Van and Hitomi and Kenshin and Kaoru pages. Yes, I do still obsess over fonts. I also obsess over my design, to the point that I made a whole new image to link to Bravenet just so it'd look right. Hopefully they don't care. I do have new changes to make, and I'm planning to actually revise the text pages (the text OF the pages... don't be silly, I'd never make a page without images) (except this one) whenever I get time. I think I also moved the bloody-huge Kenshin and Kaoru animated gif to the bottom of the page. Whee, such activity.
8/17 - I've added 4 new Kotori and Kamui pictures, and 2 new Fuu and Ferio, so go look at them. To be fair, one of the Kotori/Kamui pics is the full version of an image of them I was already using, but that page can't really be choosy.
8/16, really late - I fixed the link setup on the Mousse and Shampoo page. I had two links to the main page, for no good reason, and the Nabiki and Kuno link was broken. My brilliance astounds even me. The more so as I realized I'd set it up so the Nabiki and Kuno link never worked. That's fixed now.
8/16, real early-like - Nothing special, but I did create the header graphic for the subcouples page, and added the mouseover link to it to the front page. Why do I love mouseovers so much? Do any of the rest of you go "heh... it changes....." when you look at my front page, or is that big wad of code just there for my own benefit? I should get a better stats provider, one that'll let me know how many of you can actually benefit from it. I should also bloody well get some search engines to notice me. Altavista's the only one that hasn't snubbed me utterly. My stats do let me know that much, at least. Also, in case you care, HTML checking programs are learning to love me, although they still think I load too slow. Jerks.
8/13 - Updates! Yay! The subcouple pages are up! Linked! Everything! Yay! I doubt any of you really care, unless you came here back when I still had the Ranma subcouples on the Ranma index page, and the Hotohori/Nuriko page on the FY index. Now all the "minor" couples have a home. A few are questionable in their minorness, but... well... in Oscar nominations, do you think Misato would be nominated for a lead or supporting role?
8/10 - I've done nothing at all, except to find a few images. The Mousse and Shampoo page exists, but again, there is NO WAY I'm letting you see these till they're a bit better off. Ugh. I'm also trying to create a shrine to Kaoru, which is taking up quite a bit of time.
8/5 - At some point in the past week or so I linked up the "Other" page, which are all of the understated romances that nonetheless play a major role in the series. Coming soon, once I get my lazy butt in gear, are the subcouples; supporting Ranma characters, the Nuku Nuku parents (Akiko and Kyusaku) and others.
7/30 - Much behind-the-scenes carp going on, as I have nearly all the images uploaded for the pages I need to make, a few of the pages in near-final form, and things like that. But none of them are linked up yet. Sorry. I want them looking decent, first. I've also got some new images to add for several couples, but I'm trying to get full pages out of the way first. Oh, yes, and I fixed the broken images in the Kodocha gallery (How stupid was I? 'Der, I 'll link up images I haven't uploaded..." Yeah.) and added the fruit of much labor, a fully re-edited version of the image of Sana holding Hayama from behind. By that I mean I didn't just cheat and take the image edited by someone else, then get rid of the flowers... I actually took the manga cover and got rid of the lettering. Be proud of me.
7/28 - Okay, the current planned lineup is Akiko and Kyuusaku, Keiichi and Belldandy, Ifurita and Makoto and Usagi and Mamoru. The other option is Utena and... somebody... probably Anthy, as the majority of the romantic-type shots involve the two of them. I might simply create an "Utena and partner" page, since from all I know of it, the series cannot simply be divided into couples.
7/26 - I finished fixing the X and Rayearth pages! And the peasants rejoice! Yay! I'm also doing work on an Akiko and Kyuusaku (Nuku Nuku) page, and preparing for an Oh My Goddess page as well.
7/25 - It's been a full week since my last acknowledged update, partially due to my vacation. I started work on the new Kodocha pages before I left and finished them on my return. There are new Kodocha images! Thanks to Doll-chan for those. I corrected the links on the Haruka and Michiru page for all BUT the new Kodocha page, and I've been trying to fix the links on all the others too. The Kodocha stuff would be the main news. And the two Ranma pages are linked up. Every page except X should now have a dubious partial new look; fine-tuning will be done.
7/18/99 - More fun in the life of Jess; I discovered a roach in my apartment and fled to the opposite end of the state, leaving two bug bombs (my apartment only required one) in my wake. Oh yes, and page related things. Well, the sudden move sort of hampered my page-updating abilities. I did remember to upload the images for the new front-page look... ::dance of triumph:: And there are now Ranma and Akane pages on Crosswinds, not that I've linked them up. I feel horrid right now, not really in a physical way. But at least the new mouseovers look smoother. Went on a font rampage, that's why they look like that. Sigh. Go have fun.
7/14/99 - Yesterday I moved Kenshin and Kaoru and Lodoss to Crosswinds; today, Madoka and Kyosuke. All that's left are Sana and Hayama, and the massive, scary-big Ranma collection. I'll probably just move the Ranma and Akane pages over for now. Not that you really care, you just want to see them. Anyway... I'm also doing my best to fix all the links, which is difficult because FC's stopped working entirely; before they did a little, but not anymore... I do so love when their idea of helping you is to say "Use FTP." Like we love them so much we'll bend over backwards to stay there. Shyah, what-EVER....
How many of you ever read this? Well, anyway, if you did I got rid of most of it. Recently, thanks to Fortunecity going through some really unwelcome renovations (Guys, if it's not broken, why fix it?) I decided to move my page. Which is going to take me some time. As of today, 7/12/99, the pages for Van and Hitomi and Shinji and Kaworu are on Crosswinds, a really, really wonderful server that doesn't put any ads on your page and gives you unlimited space. I fully believe there's a catch, beyond the fact that uploading is slooooow, sometimes to the point of being unavailable, but I don't know what it is yet, so for now I'm happy. Over the past few days I've also put the Haruka and Michiru page (with far more pictures than its earlier incarnation possessed) there, and the Miaka and Tamahome page, now featuring a whole new format! Whee! Come on, cheer with me! Oh forget it. Anyway, links to older versions of various pages may be scattered throughout my site, but I'm trying to fix that. I'm also trying to complete the moving and improve all the pages in the process. I will probably just implode at my keyboard. Coming up after the moving: A Keiichi and Belldandy shrine.
To summarize the previous history of this page, which you may want if you're checking for updates: In the beginning, there was Political Science. The page started as a PS project in November of 1998, then morphed into nothing much once my grade was safely in the bag. After a while (probably around Feb. or March) I decided to make an anime page, which started out in two parts; the embryonic version of the romance page (featuring Kenshin and Kaoru, Miaka and Tamahome, Madoka and Kyosuke, Sana and Hayama and Ranma and Akane), and my currently-defunct harem. I didn't even know how to make galleries! It was truly sad. Eventually, I made Rach teach me how to make picture links, and then even more eventually (mid to late May) worked out how to do real thumbnails even with truly pathetic tools. At some point (around April) I got rid of the harem and devoted the page to the couples. I added the Lodoss couples around then, and Shinji and Kaworu after that, but before May. Around the beginning of June I had it in a state I was relatively happy with, and settled in to making minor adjustments. I spent one boring week editing the hell out of the front page, until I finally realized
