- Bryon

You’re forgetting Prince of Greece. And remember, since Greek Philosophers doesn’t have a special ability, you can use 3 of them in a T1 deck. In fact that’s just what I did when I built my playtest Greeks deck. Basically, it was so powerful, we had to tone down one of the cards. Have no fear, the Greeks are coming! - The Guardian

While we’ve probably walked a little too far down the road to go back as far as you’d like, you’ll be happy to know that we’re doing our best to limit captures to human evil characters. For example, there is a card in the next set that says “Capture an evil human (or two if used by a ___).” So, what’s done is done, but the situation should only get better, not worse. - Bryon “

… I must say my new image “Split Altar” came out really, really well.” - Doug Gray

Back on topic. I foresee a lasting dance between encouraging a 2-brigade defense and a 1-brigade defense. Reuben’s Torn Clothes should push players toward a 2-color defense. Other cards push towards a 1-color defense. Expect evil cards in the next set that strongly encourage a two-color defense, and expect good cards that punish a player for using more than one. That is the kind of tension that is good for the game. -Bryon

Similarly, expect cards that punish a player for using more than 3 brigades for good, but also expect some good cards that strongly encourage the use of two brigades for good. -Bryon

This is a card like Chamber of Angels and Potter’s Field (and that new card from the next set). This card simply changes the destination of the targeted card. -Bryon

Good news, though, beginning with the upcoming set: If a card appears to be too powerful in Type 2, we are simply making it 2-color. There are a couple nice black/gray cards, for example, that would have been a brutal Type 2 combo, but we limited them by making them one-per-deck. -Bryon
