Here are a few links to some sites that have been helpful in my majors or just are fun sites to check out. I will do my best to put them into categories so that they are easier to use.

Elementary Education:

bullet No Child Left Behind: This is a great site full of information on this newly implemented program.
bullet South Dakota Education Association: This site offers news and topics related to education in the state of South Dakota.
bullet SPARK. Skills Promoted through Arts, Reading and Knowledge: This site talks about the SPARK program.  It is a very interesting program and worth a look.
bullet Teacher Information Network: This site has tons of informational links geared towards teachers.
bullet Kids Can Learn!: This is another research type site.  It pertains to all types of educators, home schooling, and parents.
bullet Federal Resources for Educational Excellence: This is a site that is filled with lesson plans and research.
bullet Integrating Information Technology: This site is full of more information for teachers on how to make technology a part of their everyday classroom.
Special Education:
bullet UVa Special Education Web Site:  This is a neat site that has tons of links on Special Education.  It is a really great resource if you know what you are looking for.
bullet Special Education Law & Advocacy - Wrightslaw: This is a newsletter geared towards both parents and teachers.  It has up-to-date information on any new laws, research or journals in special education.
bullet LDOnline:  This is another great site for parents and teachers.  It talks about laws and different practices for children with learning disabilities.
Fun Sites:
bullet Homestar Runner: This is a great site!  It has some really fun cartoons on it, and it is updated weekly. This can easily become a time waster, so watch out!
bullet MuffinFilms: This is a really silly site, it doesn't update very much, but it is fun to look at just once.
bullet Angela's Little Space on the Net: This is my first homepage, it is in a real need to be updated!  It has a lot of information that is basically about me.
bullet The Sims: This is a link to one of the world's most pointless, but yet addicting computer games.  I have almost all of the expansion packs, even though the latest ones that seemed to have all came out at once, like Vacation, Unleashed, and Sims Online, I do not really have the time to spend to work to pay for those, nor the time to waste playing them.  I do not ever think I will buy the Sims Online because you have to get a monthly subscription.
bullet Bob and Sheri: This is a great radio show, I wish that it was broadcast in the Black Hills, but I guess I would like to stay East River Anyway.
bullet College Stories.Com:  This is an amusing little site for fellow college students.  Read some of the stories on there, they are pretty good.  The Story from Black Hills State University is one that I submitted about my sophomore year roommate.  I really think we need more people submitting from South Dakota Universities, so help the site out.
Search Sites:
bullet Google: This is by far one of my favorite search sites.  It is very user friendly, and searches quite a few databases.
bullet SoYouWanna: This site is a great how to search site.  It shows you how to do almost anything under the sun.
bullet HowStuffWorks - Learn how Everything Works!: This site is another search site that shows you how things work.  It is very interesting, and a great site to learn how almost everything works.
bullet Amazon: This really isn't too much of a search engine, but it is great when you want to research a book that you are thinking about reading.
Sites for Children:
bullet Astronomy and space for kids: This is a really fun site for even adults to enjoy.  It amused me for hours reading and looking at all the great information.
bullet Interactive Math:  This site is really neat because it lets you play with a lot of things in mathematics, without having to do all the drawing.
bullet HomeworkSpot.com: This site is filled with homework helpers.  It will help any student get idea for science fair projects or learn more about any of their subjects.
bullet The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York: This site is pretty interesting, it has pictures of different displays in the Met.
Computers:
bullet Dell: This is the site you would go to if you wanted to buy a dell computer, or research any new software or hardware.
bullet Hewlett-Packard: This is Hewlett-Packard's site, where you would go if you wished to purchase any of the Hewlett-Packard products.
bullet Compaq Product Information: Unfortunately this Compaq was bought out by Hewlett-Packard, but you can still go to this site and check out some of their brand products.
bullet PC Magazine: This is the site that is a spin from a magazine, even though the magazine is too expensive for me to get a subscription, I usually find this to be a great free alternative.
bullet TechTV: This is a great site for everyone from the advanced computer user to the computer illiterate.  It really has tons of tips and help on it, and also if you get the channel on your television it can get pretty addicting.
bullet Download.com: This site has tons of shareware, demos, and freeware that you can download for free.  It has tons of different programs that can be pretty helpful.
News Sites:
bullet The Aberdeen American News: This is the link to the newspaper I primarily grew up reading. It is a decent newspaper, it really isn't the best, but it is what I check on every once in a while.
bullet KELOLAND: This is the news station that I usually watched the news from when I was growing up, and still if possible, choose this station, just because it is funny South Dakota news.
bullet Fox News:  This is another great news place.  If you have television, you should check out Fox News and the O'Reilly Factor.  This is a great site for real non-save-the-whales-tree-hugging news.
bullet Rush and the EIB Network:  One of the greatest radio shows on earth!  Check it out!
Friends Sites:
bullet Welcome to TrojanSnowbarder:  This was one of my College Neighbor's Homepages (Dustin), he is a really nice guy and has a pretty nice page.
