This is just west about 1 mile of the corner of Greenleaf, Pumpkin Center
and Cedar Bluff roads. Just about 3/4 mile from old Pete Johnson place
on Pumpkin Center road going west. This is me holding an old rusted metal
salt or pepper shaker and part of an old brick. Doc Mull had a store here
years ago. The first store was run by old Oscar Williams. I have heard
many people talk of the old Doc Mull store. My cousin John Raincrow who
is nearly 91 told me about the old Oscar Williams store before Doc Mulls.
Old tub at the old Doc Mull place
There are a few old ruins here. Rocks from foundations, remains of an
old cellar and flowers blooming in the spring.
Remains of the old cellar at Doc Mull place. It was just west of
the house place.
We found what we think is the remains of where I was told, there used
to be an old cemetery. There is part of a fence there and it is located
north of Spaniard creek. Spainard Creek runs south on the west side of
Doc Mulls and
then turns east on the south side of his place and runs on to join
Greenleaf creek farther southeast. I think it may be the old Noah Mull cemetery
that was moved to Greenleaf cemetery in 42 when Camp Gruber was developed.
If you cross Spainard creek and go on west you would come to the gate at
the Muskogee / Cherokee county line.
