In every generation, you O God have sought to make yourself known to people. You placed Adam and Eve in a garden of perfection. You came to Abraham engaged in work. Moses was stirred by your presence in the burning bush. Jacob wrestled with you in a dream. Samuel heard your whisper to him in the dark of night. Amos met you as he shepherded his flocks in the desert. And the, there was Jesus in whom you disclosed yourself as never before. We too yearn for some sign of assurance that you are real and that you are indeed our God, and that we are your people. Come to us today, O God as we worship you.
Call To Worship:
In the fullness of time, the very nature of God was exposed to the entire world in the Person of Jesus the Christ. LORD WE BELIEVE; HLEP US IN OUR UNBELIEVE. In the death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ, God has exposed pain and suffering to the external love existing from the beginning of time and in all of creation. WE ARE THE BEARERS OF THIS GOOD NEWS. LET THE WORLD SEE IN US WHAT WE HAVE SEEN AND EXPERIENCED OF THE RISEN CHRIST.
Prayer Of Praise:
* HE IS LORD * ~ PASTOR DORTHEA
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace." Go to serve a Risen Christ in all you do. This is the end of worship but the beginning of service. Let the light of Christ shine through. AMEN

And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.
But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Second Lesson ~ 1 John 3:1-7
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Gospel ~ Luke 24:36b-48
And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
And he took it, and did eat before them.
And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
And ye are witnesses of these things.
