Crain is one of the best Tilt foreman's I've ever had the pleasure of working
with. He never got a chance to show his true talent because Jeff Pugh would
never allow him to build a crew. He was really strong willed though and at
times set up the tilt primarily by himself. I know many of us have been under
staffed and worked harder to get the job done. Maybe we should all join
together to form some sort of union or pay scale for specific jobs and or
positions.
David would do most of the work on the tilt by himself, but I know he would have
liked to have some help. Could it be possible for us to form a union for
carnival workers to protect their rights and give them the opportunity to
achieve a lifestyle equal to that of the regular citizen. Not stigmatized by a
code of life that has long died and flourishes only in the dark under belly of
the outdoor amusement business.
