I am a dog behaviorist and trainer and I own a dog training business in the Columbus, Ohio area, called Pet Behavior Associates.
I have a strong background in canine behavior. Though I owned purebreds for many years, I only met Border Terriers ten years ago. Until that time, I had not found a breed to which I could be totally loyal. Actually, I was a BIG dog person (starting off with Irish Wolfhounds), until I found a small mixed breed terrier that strongly resembled a Border Terrier. When she died, I contacted a Border Terrier breeder and purchased my first, CH Hickory Ridge Wildwood Daisy CD JE OA OAJ CGC TDI bronze ROM.
She is the mother and grandmother of many of the dogs that I currently own. I am currently breeding her offspring and grand-dogs.
I own ten Border Terriers. I like their sense of humor and keen intelligence. borders are also very loyal and affectionate. They enjoy people, especially children. They are a very level headed breed. Most of all they are CUTE, resembling and acting like puppies much of their lives.
Borders seem to have a zest for life and are game for whatever their owners would like to do, whether it be preformance events, playing, or simply snuggling up. I hope you enjoy browsing through my website!
