Word and Deed Ministries
Radio Ministryby Kathy Sears
Many of you have prayed for this radio program,
and so I thought you might like a transcript.
Thank you for your prayers.
I'm sure, like me, many of you have been following
the news closely over the last few days, and watched
as the U.S. and British forces have moved on Baghdad, bringing destruction to key buildings.
You probably saw the people of Iraq tear down the huge picture of Sudam Hussein. It has been a long time in coming, but the welcome fall of this murderous dictator seems to have arrived. Even though scripture teaches
"we wrestle not against flesh and blood" (Eph. 6:12),
I believe that on a natural level the Lord uses governmental powers to fulfill His plans for nations in order to set the captives free. I also believe that as we see these things happening in the physical realm, the same thing is happening in the spiritual.
Through prayer, the word of God, and the anointed boldness of Christians, the tyrants in the spiritual realm are falling from power. As we wrestle in prayer, as we humble our selves and surrender to God, the Devil will have to flee, but I believe we will see something taking place in the spiritual leadership (church, TV evangelism, Christian organizations etc.) Jesus is getting his body (the church) cleaned up and ready for deeper service.
Like King Saul, (1 Samuel ) there are Christian leaders who were called of God and anointed to serve but because of fear of man rather than fear of God; because of greed for power and control, these people have fallen from God's favor and it is only a matter of time before the Lord will remove them from their office and bring in the David's.
As the U.S. and allied forces free Iraq from this oppressive control and, in part, bring safety, so the Lord is doing in His spiritual leadership. He is looking for shepherds for his sheep, not bulldogs. The Lord has shown me recently that these leaders are operating in a spirit of witchcraft, but Romans 16:20 says, "the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet."
Rick Joyner, in his book Overcoming Witchcraft wrote, "Witchcraft is counterfeit spiritual authority; it is using a spirit other than the Holy Spirit to dominate, manipulate or control others. In Galatians 5:20 the apostle Paul named witchcraft, or sorcery, as one of the deeds of the flesh. Though witchcraft has its origin in the carnal nature of man, it usually degenerates quickly into demonic power.
When we try to use emotional pressure to manipulate others, it is a basic form of witchcraft. When we use hype or soul power to enlist service, even for the work of God, it is witchcraft".
Brothers and sisters in Christ, if you are guilty of this type of leadership, please repent today. If you've exaggerated the truth, that is an effort to deceive, that is a form of witchcraft. The Lord is calling us to holiness. Repent, repent, repent.
Our modal for leadership is Jesus. In John 13 we see how Jesus humbled himself and washed the disciple's feet. The washing of feet was a task that the household servants performed, not leaders. In Mark 10 42-45 the Lord taught whoever desires to become great among you much first become a servant.
Let's turn to Eph. 4:31-5:2
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for an offering a sacrifice and us to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
Col 3:12-17
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, If anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful........
Eph. 6:10
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Christian leaders must lead with the Lord's power.
I would like to close with another quote from Rick Joyner's book. "We only have true spiritual authority to the degree that the King lives within us. True spiritual authority is not position; it is grace. Counterfeit spiritual authority stands on its position instead of grace.
to lay down His life. He commanded those who would come after Him to take up their crosses and do the same.
God bless you and have a wonderful week.
