I'm Already There

Chapter 1

Janey sat in her apartment awaiting her sister to call. She was enjoying the fact that she was finally on her own. It had been such a rough year but New Hampshire had brought some pleasant surprises. She was thinking back on her day with the children, thankful for finally a little peace and quiet. After another week of teaching, having some quiet time that didn’t entail her saying “No, you really have to lie down and take a nap” or “I know your mom doesn’t make you take a nap, but when we have nap time at school we all take naps” Those rules all apply, unless of course, you are the teacher. The four-year-olds that she was teaching were just the most adorable in the world, but quiet time had become a thing of the past.

She knew that as soon as her sister called that everything would be all set to go. The girls were getting so excited about their trip to Florida. It would be the first time that they got to meet all of the girls that they have been talking with for so long, forever it seemed. They had met some of them earlier in the year in Washington but this was the opportunity to meet the rest. And what a week they had planned. The girls had been planning an “All NSYNC All the time” weekend for longer than they could even imagine.

The highlight of the weekend wasn’t even the concert, or the basketball game, but the benefit dinner that they had planned. Janey used her contacts that were left in Florida to plan an all Over 21 dinner to benefit Challenge for the Children. Melinda knew about it but she didn’t even have the slightest idea if the guys from her favorite band even had a clue. They were excited to present the rather large check to them when they arrived at the basketball game. “Thank goodness for the internet,” she thought because she was able to get special VIP passes for the game from someone she had met online. This way she knew that she would get close to the guys at least one time during her weekend.

As she sat on the couch she had her CD that they had made prior to the trip to DC playing. The familiar strains of “I Drive Myself Crazy” kept playing through her head. “I lie awake, I drive myself crazy, Drive myself crazy thinking of you.” What made her ever start liking this band she thought. She was clearly older than the demographic that they went after but the more she listened to their music the more she loved it, especially the voice of Chris Kirkpatrick, her favorite member. The guy she felt that she was born to be with. The man, who was actually older than her, who made her insides go all crazy every time she heard him sing. She could listen to him sing all day long, and when the children were going crazy, his voice soothed her. She was hoping, more than anything that could possibly happen in Florida, that she would get to meet him.

Janey was brought back to reality by a telephone ringing in her ear and her dog jumping up onto her lap as if he was going to answer the phone for her.

“Hello,” she said into the phone.

“Hey dork, are you ready to go or what?” The familiar voice of her sister echoed into her ear. Janey and her sister Caytlyn had been planning this trip for so long. It really went into full force when Janey left Florida for New Hampshire. Her sister had taken her in and been so incredible. Now Janey’s apartment was an escape for her when she just needed to get away.

“Well, I still have some packing to do, but then I’ll be ready. How about you? Are you set to go yet????” Janey asked.

“Yeah right, like I’m packed and ready to go! HAH!” exactly the response that Janey expected from her sister.

“Well girl, you better get going. I’m almost ready to go. You gonna be over here soon so that we can do the rest of the planning before the flight tomorrow?”

“Yeah, I should be there soon. Gotta make one last stop at the mall then I’ll be at your place.”

“What else could she possibly need?” was the only thought that went through Janey’s head. The girls had been shopping for this trip for months. Knowing that they were going to possibly meet the guys from NSYNC they wanted to look absolutely perfect if the moment should arise. Diets, exercise and MUCH shopping had led them to the point where they knew they were ready to go to Florida.

“I’ll see you when you get here. And PLEASE don’t spend too much more money! We’ve already spent so much and remember this is all for charity!”

“Yeah, charity for us to go and meet NSYNC!” her sister replied.

“No, that’s the reason it started,” was what Janey said while in the back of her mind her thoughts went back to Chris and his melodic voice, his beautiful brown eyes and the cutest face she had ever seen. Charity, huh, she was going to Florida to prove two things, that she could make it in a place other than Disney and to meet the man of her dreams. The whole charity thing was her clever cover up although, after spending the last few months working with children, a charity that dealt primarily with children was something that she really looked up to.

“So, do you think I’m gonna get to meet Lance? HUH? Do you?” Caytlyn asked.

“Cay, how many times are you gonna ask me this? I’m doing my best. I’ve talked to Melinda, they are trying to work it into their weekend. No promises though. She hasn’t even told me if she’s told the guys about it. My guess is that they know.”

“Jay, they have to know. I mean come on, lets be serious here. They are gonna have a group of women, all over 21, all legal, who are interested in the group enough to pay money to eat to support their charity. They’d be all over that!!!”

“I realize this, but Melinda has said nothing to me. I guess we’re just going to have to wait until we get to Orlando to find out. Right now we don’t have time to talk. Get your butt over here!”

“Okay, okay, I’m coming. I’ll see you soon.” With that they hung up the phone and continued to prepare for the week ahead.

Janey went back to packing her suitcase. She picked out the most gorgeous outfit for the after party at Planet Hollywood that they were attending after the CFTC game. Knowing in her heart that she might not even get close to Chris, she was still hoping that maybe, just maybe, she’d have the opportunity to see him. Even if she didn’t, she knew that much partying would be occurring as soon as Jen, Mandy, Ellie, Chele, Kim, Robin, Amy, Rebecca, Andrea and Megan were all there. To finally have the entire group of them together was going to be quite an experience. She made sure that she had packed all the information from her friend Scott who had told her all about how to get her VIP passes for CFTC which her sister didn't even know about yet. She was also surprising all the girls with those as well. Deep down she was hoping that they guys from NSYNC would find out about the dinner and would want to just drop in to say hello. ‘How amazing would that be’ Janey thought. For NSYNC to find out about the dinner that the girls had been planning would just be amazing and for them to show up would be just beyond belief.

A few moments later the phone rang again. “Why are you calling me??? You’re supposed to be on your way to my place,” Janey said into the phone.

“Oh, I’m sorry, well, I don’t think that would be possible,” a voice on the other end said. Janey wasn’t quite sure who it was but she knew it wasn’t Caytlyn.

“Ummm, I’m sorry, I thought you were someone else. This is Janey how can I help you?”

“That’s okay Janey, it happens. This is Melinda Bell calling regarding your charity event this weekend.” The voice said.

“OH MY GOD” was the first thing that went through Janey’s mind. Melinda is calling me? Oh no, something must have happened.

“Hi Melinda, I must say that we are very excited about the event. We have really worked hard at getting everything put together and we’re looking forward to presenting the check to the guys.”

“Well, actually that’s why I was calling. I’ve got some potentially very good news for you. The guys are going to be able to attend the benefit. I just needed to find out from you is times and such so that we can make sure we have proper security and all.”

Janey could not believe what she was hearing. She was going to get to meet all five members of NSYNC and more importantly Chris! They were going to be attending the benefit that Janey and Cay had been planning for months and all of their friends were going to be there. It was like a dream come true.

“That is incredible Melinda. I would like to keep it kind of a secret from the attendee’s and make it a surprise if that’s okay with you.” Janey asked.

“That’s fine with me Janey. It would probably be best that way so that word doesn’t get out that the guys will be there. As I’m sure you can imagine things get kind of crazy when they are around.”

Melinda and Janey worked out the rest of the details and got everything prepared for the week ahead. “Thank you so much for this Melinda. This is really going to be a huge surprise for everyone involved!” Janey said. Little did Janey know, more was in store for her when she arrived in Orlando. More than she could ever imagine.

Chapter 2

Jayne turned up her stereo and went back to packing. She started singing along with the familiar music and was in dreamland when all of the sudden her sister came up behind her. Jayne squealed louder than the 12 year olds at an NSYNC concert when she turned to find her sister there.

“What the heck are you doing girl?” She turned and asked. The girls went into full-fledged N-Mode as they liked to call it. Gossiping and talking about NSYNC and just plain acting like they were teenies instead of the 27 and 29 year olds that they both were. Jayne completely kept the secret of Melinda’s phone call from her sister as hard as it was. She just wanted to scream from the rooftops that the guys were all going to be at the benefit dinner but she knew that the two of them would get nothing done if she told her sister. All their discussion would entail if she told her sister would be clothes, Lance Bass, makeup, Lance, hairstyles, On the Line, etc. Caytlyn was totally obsessed with Lance and she had no problem telling everyone.

Once all the things were packed and ready to go the girls sat down and started to go over all of the facts and figures with the weekend that was approaching.

“Can you even believe all of this is actually happening J?” her sister asked. Jayne couldn’t, not in a million years even begin to imagine that what began as a simple email to some friends would turn into a benefit dinner that was raising over 100,000 dollars in one night. She was so excited to present the check to the members of NSYNC that she was beside herself. The girls went over the dinner menu one more time and began to go over the speeches that they were to give at the dinner. Neither of them really liked speaking in front of people, they were both much better at singing in front of them.

“I honestly don’t know if I’m gonna get through this,” Jayne said, thinking to herself that it was bad enough that she was going to have to speak in front of everyone but now the whole idea that the guys will be there too will make it all the more difficult.

“You’re gonna be fantastic, heck, you talk to all those parents all the time. You can do this.” And that she knew that she could. She was going to get up in front of that group and be so excited about all that was happening that it wasn’t even going to be an issue of Justin, JC, Lance, Joey and Chris standing all within 100 feet of her. Heck, they might even be closer than that.

It was getting late and the girls decided that, as hard as it was going to be to sleep, that it was necessary for the two of them to get some rest before their flight the next morning.

Chapter 3

“Good Morning Ladies and Gentleman and Welcome to Orlando Florida.” The cheerful voice said over the intercom on the plane. ‘We’re here, We’re here!’ went through Janey’s head as she put her CD player and book back into her bag. She couldn’t believe that she was back in Orlando. As they were flying overhead she saw the familiar sights that had once been her home flash by. She saw the mall that she went to so many times before, the lake that she went to when it was a beautiful day in Florida, and she could even see the apartment that she once lived in. Memories of the past flew through her mind as she looked out the window and Janey began to get very worried.

She hadn’t been back to Disney since October when she left and she knew that she left her friends all concerned about her but if she didn’t do it by just getting up and going she knew that she would never do it. She was so pleased with her life now up in New Hampshire but she really didn’t know how she was going to handle seeing all of the familiar sights of the theme parks again. ‘Heck, maybe I’ll just get to meet Chris, he’ll start liking me and I’ll get to show up at a theme park with Chris Kirkpatrick!’ she thought.

“HA!” she said out loud.

“What the heck was that for,” Caytlyn asked. Janey hadn’t even realized that she had laughed out loud. “You’ve been acting weird ever since last night. What is up with you girl? Are you getting nervous again?”

Janey couldn’t tell her sister about NSYNC, not quite yet, but she didn’t even know what to respond to her. “Oh, just thinking about things. I don’t quite think I’m nervous anymore though.”

“Good,” her sister replied, “so are you ready or what? We land in 10 minutes!!!”

Janey was excited and couldn’t wait to see all of her friends. She had pictures of most of them and had met a few throughout the year but this was the first time that they were all going to be together so it should be one amazing time.

A short time later the plane landed and the girls were off to get their luggage. As they approached the luggage area Janey mentioned that some of the other girls were due in soon. They couldn’t decide whether or not to wait for them or to just head to the hotel, but seeing as they both got exactly 3 hours of restless sleep the night before they opted for the hotel.

Just as they were walking out of the airport and boarding the bus to pick up their rental car the familiar ring of Janey’s cell phone went off.

“Hello, this is Janey.” She said into the phone.

“Hi Janey, well that was certainly a different reaction on the phone than yesterday,” Melinda said, “Just wanted to see if you had arrived into Orlando yet.”

“Yes we did,” Janey replied, careful not to say the name of the caller on the other end of the phone. “We got here about 15 minutes ago and we are on our way to the hotel right now to freshen up before some of our friends arrive.”

“Who is it? Who is it?” her sister kept asking into her ear. “Be quiet,” Janey answered back. But Caytlyn didn’t shut up. She kept pestering her sister as Janey was trying to keep the identity of Melinda secret.

“Well, we were wondering what you ladies have planned for the evening,” Melinda asked.

“Ummm….I’m not really sure yet,” Janey replied, “I know that we have to get over to Planet Hollywood at some point today to make sure that everything is set up for the dinner tomorrow evening and I know that most of the girls are arriving today. Why do you ask?”

“Well, the guys are having a dinner this evening, it’s by invitation only and we were wondering if you and your sister might like to join us.” Melinda replied.

“Wow, that’s incredible! Yes, we’d love to attend. Where should we be? When? What time?” Janey started rattling off questions.

After a answering all of the questions and thanking Melinda Janey hung up the phone knowing that she was now going to have to tell her sister and not knowing exactly how she was going to be able to break it to the other girls that they weren’t going to be going out with them that evening.

“All right Miss Secretive, who the heck were you talking to? I know it wasn’t Amy or Robin because if you didn’t give me the phone and it was them I’m gonna have to beat you down.”

“No, it wasn’t Amy or Robin. It actually wasn’t any of the girls.”

“Okay, so if it wasn’t any of the girls, you were talking a lot about this weekend, who could it be?”

“Well, okay, you are sitting down, so I guess I can tell you this. I was just on the phone with Melinda Bell.”

“GET OUT!!! You’re lying right? You mean THE Melinda Bell, like NSYNC Melinda Bell,” Caytlyn exclaimed.

“No, the OTHER one….duh, now if you’ll shut up I’ll tell you what she had to say. But this has to be kept between us. Okay?” Her sister agreed and Janey went on to tell Caytlyn all about what Melinda had to say the day before about the guys attending the benefit dinner. Caytlyn was beside herself and Janey hadn’t even gotten to the good part yet, or the good part as far as she was concerned.

“Oh, and by the way, we were invited to a private dinner with NSYNC tonight.” Janey said rather quickly.

“WHAT!!! WHAT!!!! Are you kidding me? You mean, you and I are having dinner with the guys from NSYNC, just us? No one else?” Caytlyn could barely breathe. She was in a state of immediate shock.

“Well, I don’t know exactly who is going to be at the dinner tonight other than the guys, but I know that they will all be there and we will be there. The hard thing is going to be telling the other girls. I don’t want them to be mad as soon as we meet them.”

“I don’t think they’ll be mad, they’ll understand, and heck, we’ll just tell them that we’re finding out which of the guys is attached so that the next few days they know who they can hit on.”

The girls both broke out in laughter as they pulled under the porte coshier at the hotel. They handed their keys and luggage over and checked in.

“Welcome ladies,” the front desk hostess greeted the girls, “It looks like everything for your room is taken care of. Here are the keys to your suite and our Concierge hostess will be happy to assist you in any further plans that you might need. It looks like you also have some messages here as well. Looks like the two of you are very popular.”

The girls both exchanged curious glances at each other. “Well, the messages part sounds about right, I know that the other girls knew that we were staying here. However, I don’t think that the concierge, the suite or the everything’s paid for part is quite right. We just have a basic room and we were intending on paying for it as soon as we arrived.” Janey said to the hostess.

“Well, let me check, here are your messages if you would like to look through them while I go and check with my support team.”

“That’s fine,” said Janey, she didn’t want to be taking someone else’s room or anything but this was just strange. The girls looked through their messages and saw familiar names of Mindy and Jen, Rebecca, Amy and Robin, all welcoming them to Florida as well as room numbers of the girls so that they could all find each other when they arrived. Then they came to a message from someone that they didn’t recognize:

“Thank you for all of your help this week. We are so excited to meet the two of you. Have a wonderful time in Florida and enjoy your room. Justin, JC, Lance, Chris, Joey and Melinda,” Caytlyn read aloud.

“Excuse me, what was that you just read to me?” Janey asked.

“Oh My GOD!!!!” Caytlyn exclaimed, “NSYNC paid for our room!!! I can’t believe this! I can’t believe this!”

The girls tried desperately to control their excitement when the front desk hostess came back out to tell them that she was indeed correct, and that everything had been taken care of and that their room as upgraded to the concierge floor. Janey and Caytlyn thanked the hostess and proceeded to the concierge floor while still in a state of shock knowing that NSYNC had done all of this for two girls from New Hampshire and not exactly sure of how they could ever thank them.

Chapter 4

Janey and Cay entered a room unlike anything they had ever seen in their life. Flowers adorned the huge table in the living room, terry cloth robes hung from the walls in the bathrooms, a big screen television with a DVD player and surround sound graced the living room. ‘Now this is living’ Janey thought to herself imagining that the guys probably have this in every hotel that they go to across the country.

“Jay, you have to come and see the bedroom!” her sister hollered from the other room. “There is stuff everywhere!” her sister said responding to the flowers that seemed to be in every corner of the room. Huge bouquets of roses, daisies, petunias, lilies, chrysanthemums and every other flower imaginable adorned the entire room. It was just unbelievable. Kind of like a dream that just seemed to be getting better and better as the day progressed.

Janey’s eyes immediately went to the telephone at that point and saw the message light blinking uncontrollably. “Looks like someone knows where our room is girl,” Janey said to her sister, “Our message light is out of control!” The girls both dove for the phone at the same time, wondering which of their friends was there and knowing that the first to the phone would get to call people back first and tell them about their incredible luck of the day.

Cay got to the phone first and started listening to messages. “Oh, cool, we can listen to them on speakerphone,” at that, Cay put the phone on speaker so that the girls could listen to the messages together.

“Hey girls,” the first message began, “Its Elley, what the heck, thought you girls were gonna wait around the airport for my flight? Just Kidding. Have you seen JC yet? How about Chris? Lance? Any of them? Well, I hope you are here safe and sound. I’m in room 2645, stop by when you get in. Talk to you soon and I can’t wait to see you both!”

“How funny,” Janey said, “That’s exactly the message I would have expected from her!”

“YO Chicas,” the next message began and Jay and Cay looked at each other and at the same time exclaimed “ROBIN AND AMY!!!”. The message went on to welcome the girls from Robin and Amy and gave their room number as well. As the girls continued to listen to their messages and write down the room number of everyone they anxiously tried to figure out how they were going to tell everyone how they ended up in the room. Not only that, they also had to find a way to nicely tell everyone that not only were they staying in this luxurious room but that they guys had paid for it and they were having dinner at the compound that night. It was more than they could even describe.

The girls decided that the best thing to do was to clean themselves up and invite everyone up to the room. They put in their “Celebrity” CD and started dancing around the room while showering and dressing. Janey started with the phone calls to all of the girls inviting them up for 3:30 and telling them how to get to their room. She tried so hard not to tell everyone exactly what was going on especially when talking on the phone with Robin, Elley and Min. She had become such good friends with them during the year and she knew that they would just be so psyched when they found out what was going on.

“Jay, can you even believe that this is happening to us?” Cay hollered to her sister over the sounds of the hairdryers and music both of which were going as loud as possible. “I mean seriously, everyone is going to die when they hear what happens. I’m gonna have to give Amy CPR or something cause she’s gonna pass out!” Janey was shocked, to say the least, and she was excited, beyond belief excited. In just a few short hours she was going to meet, face to face, the 5 members of NSYNC. She was living every teenage girls dream and many older girls dreams as well. What in the world had she done to deserve this?

A knock on the door brought the girls back to reality as they finished up doing their makeup. A slew of girls began to enter the room and each one was more shocked than the next. The first to arrive were Kim, Kelly and Rebecca. They were just amazed at what they saw before them. Janey and Caytlyn didn’t tell them anything yet but offered them a drink and the girls settled in and began to catch up on things that were going on in their lives. Jen and Mindy arrived next and were blown away completely. Janey and Caytlyn were so excited to meet both of them. They hadn’t been out to visit them yet on their NSYNC journeys of the summer so they knew that the first time they would see the girls face to face would be in Florida. Hugs were exchanged along with much excitement. The decibel level in the room was extraordinary.

The next to arrive were Robin and Amy. Janey, Caytlyn and Kim were so excited to finally be back together with their friends. They all had such an incredible time in DC with the girls that being with them again was just thrilling. Amy and Caytlyn went into immediate Lance-mode while Jayne and Robin began to discuss the latest hairstyle of JC. The girls didn’t even hear the knock at the door for the last group of girls. It took them several minutes before they realized that Elley, Rebecca and Chele had finally arrived.

“You lucky bitches! How the heck did you score this huh?” Elley shrieked. Well, I guess this was the time that they were going to have to tell the girls what happened. They welcomed the girls to the room, sat them all down in the living room with drinks and snacks and began to tell them about the events of the past two days.

After Jay and Cay had told them everything, with the exception of the secret appearance of NSYNC the next night at the dinner, the mouths of each of the girls was on the floor. They couldn’t believe the luck that their friends had stumbled into and they were so excited. They knew now that because their friends were “in” that they’d get to be in as well.

“Well, I guess we know where the parties are gonna be now don’t we ladies,” Kim exclaimed. And with that, the girls each got another drink and toasted to a great weekend ahead.

Chapter 5

The mood in the girls room was reaching a feverish pace as all of the girls were going around the room, looking at clothes, watching the Pop Odyssey DVD and starting their weekend out on a high note. None of them was realizing exactly how close they would be to NSYNC within the next few days. Janey had decided to keep it a secret from her friends about their special VIP passes to CFTC, the VIP entrance to Tabu, the nightclub that NSYNC loves to party at as well as the special appearance at the dinner the next night.

“Hola lucky bitch's room, this is their jealous friend Elley and apparently their answering service now as well, please oh please tell me how I can be of service to you today as well........” Janey hear her friend Elley say from the other room. The girls hadn’t even heard the phone ring with all of the noise going on in the room and Janey couldn’t even believe that Elley was saying that into the phone. But then again, this was Elley that she was thinking about and that was a typical reaction from her.

“Hi, Ummm, well, let me think about that for a second Elley,” the voice on the other end said. “I’m sure that we could think of something great and maybe we’ll just have to discuss that later on tonight.”

“Well then maybe we could discuss it later tonight but that would all depend upon who I am talking with” Elley said seductively into the phone.

“Well, who do you want it to be?” the voice replied with equal seduction.

“Well, JC Chasez of course,” Elley replied.

“Close! Oh, so close….but not quite. Actually this is Chris, can I speak with Janey please?” Chris asked.

“Yeah, alright, sure, this is Chris Kirkpatrick, from NSYNC, Chris Kirkpatrick, yeah and I’m Gwen Stefani. Whatever dude!” and with that, Elley hung up the phone.

“Who was that?” Janey yelled from the other side of the room, a curling iron being burned into her head by Robin and clothes being handed to her by her other friends.

“Some guy who claims to be Chris from NSYNC. I figured you wouldn’t want to talk to him, you know with all the excitement. I mean, you talking to Chris, you hate him right?” Elley joked with her friend, knowing full well two things. Number one, that there was no way that Chris was calling their room, and number two, that if it really was Chris that Janey would jump through the roof.

“Excuse me?” Janey screamed, “You mean Chris Kirkpatrick was calling MY room! Are you kidding me?”

“Well, it was some guy who claimed to be Chris. I told him I was Gwen Stefani and asked him to come on over!”

The girls continued to laugh about the conversation and finished getting Janey and Caytlyn ready for their big dinner with the guys from NSYNC. Each of the girls had a different idea as to how they should dress for the evening. Kim was sure that they should be “skanky, yet sophisticated, while showing a little leg.” Elley was sure that they should be “dressy but casual” not giving too much away in the first meeting with the guys they could save that for later.

After many clothes changes and things being thrown all over the room of not only Janey and Cay’s clothes but their friend clothes as well they finally decided on an outfit. In the end they chose to go kind of in the middle, looking just good enough for dinner while being ready so that they could go out clubbing with the girls later on that evening. Janey was dressed in her favorite black Capri pants with a shirt that left just enough to the imagination and fit in all the right places. A pair of strappy sandals highlighted the outfit along with jewelry compliments of her ex-fiancé. Caytlyn was dressed in a cute skirt with a sweater top that was comfy enough for her first meeting with Lance Bass yet ready to go out and party later on that night.

The finishing touches were done on their makeup by their friends, for their hands were both too shaky to apply it themselves and the ladies lined up in front of all the girls. Each one had their say in what the girls looked like and final words of advice were given to them. Moments later a knock came from the door.

“I’ll get it!” Elley screamed to the other girls. Elley approached the door and without looking through the peephole opened it up wide to the visitor standing outside of the door.

“Welcome to the lucky bitches suite we aim to please and….” Elley stopped dead in her tracks at the brown eyes that met her gaze as she answered the door. She couldn’t believe the luck her friends had just fallen into as Chris Kirkpatrick himself was standing at the door.

“You must be Gwen who I spoke with on the phone earlier today! It’s a pleasure to meet you!” Chris said coyly to Elley.

“Actually yes it was me that you were speaking with earlier today. Hi I’m Gwen and you are?” Elley replied just as coyly.

“Chris, Chris Kirkpatrick, you know, the short guy in that group NSUCK? Well, I’ve always wanted to meet you Gwen and can I just ask one question?” Chris played along.

“Sure, anything for you sweetie,” Elley played.

“Can I just get a hug from you?” Chris asked and Elley joyfully agreed not even believing that she was hugging Chris.

“Well, I don’t think you came here to see me did you? Hold on a second. Um, Janey, I think the door is for you!” Elley exclaimed from the other end of the room.

‘Who the heck could that be?’ Janey thought to herself. Everyone who they were expecting that day to arrive was already in their room. It couldn’t be anyone else unless….no, it couldn’t be. That would be just too much in one day if Chris were actually standing on the other side of that door.

“Elley, what’s all the…” Janey stopped in mid sentence as she saw a pair of big brown eyes looking straight at her. It was like a moment had stopped in time. There standing in front of her was Chris. The guy that she had dreams about, the man that she never in a million years thought she would ever meet. But there he was standing at her door with two-dozen roses in hand. A dozen pink and a dozen yellow. How did he know that pink roses were her favorite and that yellow roses were Cay’s favorite. She had no clue, what she did know was that she was standing there looking like a dummy.

“Hi, you must be Janey, seeing as I’ve already met Gwen here.” His glance went briefly to Elley who smiled at Chris, but then straight back to Janey’s hazel eyes that were staring straight into his brown ones.

“Yes, Yes, I’m Janey, it’s a pleasure to meet you Chris. I’m kind of…well…..shocked right at the moment. And I’ve got two questions for you? How the heck did you know that I was staying here? And what do you mean you’ve already met Gwen?” as she turned to her friend who seemed to have disappeared all of the sudden.

“Well, seeing as we paid for your room it was pretty easy to find you and I called earlier today and spoke with Gwen. Well, I’m guessing her name isn’t Gwen, but whoever answered the door, I don’t think she really believed that I was Chris. Oh well, anyway, I’m here to pick up you and Cay and take you to dinner.” Chris replied. “And, um, these are for you.” Chris stumbled his words as he gave Janey a dozen pink roses.

“Wow, door to door service huh? These are just beautiful, thank you so much,” Janey said as she smiled and winked at Chris. “But I’m thinking that there are some people that might like to meet you first.” With that Janey brought Chris into the living room where eight pairs of eyes anxiously awaited the couple that were making their first introductions at the door while Janey asked herself one more time what she did to deserve a night like this.

Chapter 6

"HEY YOU GUYS!" Elley screamed as she came running into the room. "Everything, Cleaned, Now, HURRY"

The girls all turned to look as Elley came running into the room. She seemed to be running at breakneck speed in order to get the room cleaned up.

"What the Hell!" Kim asked Elley.

"You just don't understand. We need to get this place cleaned and NOW!!! Get Cay outta here and make sure she's all ready." Elley instructed Amy, "And the rest of you get these clothes under the bed or something"

Amy and Mindy took over making sure that Cay looked perfect for her first meeting with Lance while the rest of the girls not knowing any better began throwing underwear, bras and everything else that had been taken out of the wardrobes of not only Cay and Janey but the rest of the girls as well, into drawers, under the bed and behind the couches.

All of the sudden the girls began to hear laughter coming from the doorway. "What is going on girl?" Rebecca asked Elley. "I know something’s going down and I wanna know now." Just as Elley was about to tell Rebecca that Chris was at the door with Janey the couple entered the room and 10 pairs of eyes went straight to the door. Some of the girls still with clothes in their hands and the music of NSYNC still at a concert pitch, into the room walked Chris and Janey.

"Well, aren't we going to get introductions?" Rebecca asked Janey as she approached the two that just seemed to be so happy walking into a room together. And Janey was, she was up past cloud nine. She was about on cloud 210. She was just in awe of the fact that here she stood walking into a room of her friends with Chris Kirkpatrick with a dozen roses in her hands that she had just received from him, and about to have the night of her life.

"Wow, you all must really like this group you've got playing huh?" Chris joked with the girls, "That's that group NSUCK right? Man, it sounds like they are standing right in this room singing their stuff"

"Exactly!" Elley said as she went up to Chris, "We've already met, I'm Gwen remember." Elley said with a smile in her voice. She extended her hand to Chris to say hello once again and realized that in her hand she held one of Janey's bras that she hadn't managed to quite get into a drawer yet.

"Wow, thanks so much Gwen, but I thought we were going to talk about this later tonight." Chris said trying to brush off the fact that inside of Elley's hand was Janey's bra while Janey was trying desperately to hide her complete embarrassment of the moment. She couldn't even believe what was going on in front of her "So do I get to call you Gwen all weekend or do you have another name and I really don't think this belongs to me?"

"You can call me Gwen if you want, but my real name is Elley." Elley replied, "And this….hmmm…yeah, let’s talk about this one later okay?" Elley replied while giving Janey a look that said she was more sorry than she had ever been in her life.

"Its nice to meet you Elley." Chris replied giving the bra back to Elley. "So do I get to meet everyone else?" Chris asked Janey.

"Um, of course," Janey replied and continued on to introduce the rest of her friends and while trying to hide how embarrassed she was at that moment. After introducing everyone who was in the room she couldn't seem to find her sister, Mindy or Amy. "CAY!!!!" Janey screamed, "Where the heck are you girl?" She couldn't wait to introduce her sister to Chris.

"I'm right here, sheesh what’s all the…." And with that Cay stopped dead in her tracks as she walked into the room and saw, standing next to her sister, Chris. She couldn't even believe what she saw in front of her. It was her sister’s dream come true and she was just hoping that not too far behind the famous singer was one of his band mates, namely, Lance Bass.

"Ah, you must be Caytlyn," Chris said with a smirk on his face, "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm…"

"Yeah, I know who you are. You're Chris. You're the crazy one" Cay interrupted.

"Yeah, I guess that's me, and these are for you by the way." With that, Chris extended to Caytlyn a dozen yellow roses. Caytlyn couldn't believe that she was being given roses, and more importantly, that she was being given roses by a member of her favorite group. The only thing that could make the evening better was if Lance himself had handed her the roses, but for now she would take what she could get. So she politely thanked Chris

"Well, I'm thinking that dinner is probably going to be getting cold soon if we don't get going. And if we don't get there soon, Joey is going to eat all of it!" Chris said and caused an immediate reaction from all of the girls as they started laughing. "Will we see any of these lovely ladies tonight?" Chris turned and asked Janey.

"Actually, they are all going to be hanging out at Tabu later on. Cay and I are going to meet up with them after dinner with you guys."

"Fantastic, you all don't mind if the guys and I join you do you? We love that place!" With that the room erupted with an immediate excited reaction from everyone in the room.

"Well, I'm guessing that they won't mind if you all come along with us." Janey replied. "We'll call you guys when we are on our way to the club and meet you all there okay?"

"GREAT! FANTASTIC!" and a variety of other responses were heard throughout the room.

"Well, if you ladies are ready, I do believe that our chariot awaits." Chris said. With that he extended one arm to Janey and the other to Caytlyn and the three were on their way out the door with Janey already in 7th heaven and Caytlyn with her head up in the clouds.

Chapter 7

"Can you even believe that just happened?" Kim asked the rest of the group. Everyone was still in awe at the fact that Chris had just left the room with their two friends tagging along. The weekend had been full of surprised and they had all just arrived within the last few hours.

"I know! Those lucky bitches!" Elley replied.

"But, we now get to hang out with NSYNC tonight at Tabu. I'm thinking we all need to get going and get dressed, food and everything else done and meet the girls there." Amy replied. With that, the girls were off to their respective rooms to gather their belongings, talk with friends and prepare for a night that they would not soon forget.

"Hey, do you have your inhaler with you?" Janey quietly whispered to her sister.

"Yeah, I have it, why?" Cay asked.

"Well, my thinking is that as soon as you catch a glimpse of either your favorite BASS ASS or the infant of yours, you might just need it." Janey joked with her sister.

"Kiss it bitch! But yes, to answer your question I do have it with me."

"Hey, what's all the whispering about?" Chris asked, "You couldn't be talking about ME are you?" He joked with the girls.

"Oh, hey look Cay, there's someone else in the elevator with us. DAMN he looks like one of those Backstreet Boys!" Janey joked along with Chris.

"OK! OK! It's a sister thing, I get it. I thought it was just my sisters. I guess it’s just ingrained in you to be like that."

"Yeah, I guess," Janey replied, "So are we going to get to meet any of your friends tonight?"

"Well, actually, I know that at least one of them should be waiting for us when we…" Chris stopped speaking just as the elevator doors opened up.

"OH….MY….GOD…." Cay said under her breath, loud enough only for Janey to hear it. Standing just outside of the lobby waiting beside the black Navigator was none other than Justin Timberlake standing alongside of a bodyguard.

"Hey, Cay, do you need that inhaler?" Chris joked. Once again melting Janey's heart as she knew that Chris had heard the entire conversation between the two girls in the elevator. She also knew that she'd have to be careful what she said around him that weekend. This boy had keen ears that picked up everything that the girls had to say. But Janey was no fool, she had the same type of ears, so anything that Chris had to say, she knew that she could throw it back at him just as easily.

The girls and Chris, with his bodyguard in tow, continued to walk through the lobby, Chris with his had on and sunglasses to try and shadow the fact that he was in fact "that Chris, the one from NSYNC". The people who did notice him and came up to him however, Chris was more than happy to stop for a moment and sign an autograph. Janey was falling for this guy and fast. The more she saw how sweet and kind he was beneath that, sometimes crazy, exterior laid the heart of a really gentle and kind person.

After a few more autographs the ladies and Chris approached the car and saw standing in front of them, with a hat hung over his eyes and sunglasses, Justin. He was taller than Janey and Cay had ever expected him to be. Standing beside Chris and Janey, who was only 5 feet tall herself, he seemed like he was at least 2 feet taller than her when in all reality he was only a little over a foot taller than her.

"Hey, what the heck took you guys so long? I thought I was gonna have to send someone in after y'all." Justin said to his friend. "And are you gonna be rude or are you gonna introduce me to these two lovely ladies?"

"Hey, it’s nice to meet you Justin, I'm Janey." She said to the big pair of blue eyes that were standing in front of her. Cay was standing there, rather star struck at the fact that Justin Timberlake was indeed standing in front of her and she was about to be introduced to him. She held out her hand for Justin to shake but words couldn't come out of her mouth she just looked at Justin, not being able to believe that he was actually there.

"Dammit Chris, I knew I should have gone up there to get them, you scared the words right out of her mouth...now she isn't gonna be able to talk to us."

"Well, she usually talks more than this Justin I promise but this is my sister Caytlyn, Cay for short."

"Yeah, she certainly does talk more. You should have heard the two of them upstairs with their friends. They are all rather talkative." Chris said.

"Oh, are any of them as cute as these two are?" Justin asked. The comment immediately sent shades of crimson up into the faces of both Janey and Cay. Imagine, being called cute by Justin! They couldn't even believe it.

"Yeah, but none of them are as cute as my date here," Chris said putting his arm around Janey. The touch of Chris' arm around her shoulder sent shivers up and down Janey's spine. She couldn't show it to him yet though. She wasn't quite ready to let Chris in on the fact that every dream that she ever had was coming true right at that moment in time.

"Whatever!" Janey said, "And who says I'm with you. Heck, everyone knows that Justin is the cute one anyway! You are just the older one!" Janey said to him with a wink.

"Yeah, but older means more experience," Chris whispered into her ear.

"Oh wait a minute, if you are Janey's date that means I get to be your date right Justin?" Cay finally said, coming out of her near catatonic state.

"Hey, LOOK, she talks!!!" Justin exclaimed.

"Sorry, I guess I was a little star struck there for a moment. I never really thought I'd be standing within feet of you guys." Cay replied being horribly honest with the guys. 'Heck, at least it wasn't Lance I saw first. If it was him, then we would have some issues.' She thought to herself.

"Well, Cay, looks like you are my date to the dinner seeing as those two seem to be getting pretty cozy over there." Cay turned to find her sister deep in conversation with the eldest member of NSYNC and he seemed to be thoroughly interested in her small talk of teaching and life in New Hampshire. She knew that her sister was just having the time of her life and she only hoped that upon meeting her "favorite" member of the group that the night could continue as well.

"Hey! You two! I'm hungry! Let's get outta here!" Justin hollered at Janey and Chris who seemed to be in their own little world, just joking and laughing with each other.

"Oh, I guess the children have to eat at some point in time huh?" Chris joked.

"Yeah, and you old people and your memory seem to forget the fact that there are people waiting for us to return!" Justin came back.

"Okay, Okay, we get the point. Shall we?" Chris asked Janey as he extended his hand to her to help her get up the steep step into the front seat of the rather large Lincoln Navigator that was to bring the four of them with 2 bodyguards in tow to dinner. Chris settled in next to her to drive while Cay and Justin headed their way into the back seat of the car and Janey sat thinking about her friends and how Elley would say to her, yet again today what a "lucky bitch" she was.

Chapter 8

“So Janey, have you ever been to Orlando before?” Chris asked making small talk on the way to the compound where the girls were going to meet up with the rest of the group for dinner.

“Actually, I lived here for 5 years, I just moved up to New Hampshire last October. I worked for Disney for all 5 years.” Janey replied.

“Got tired of the Mouse huh?” Chris joked.

“Yeah, I guess.” Janey replied, not really wanting to let on to the real reasons for leaving Orlando. Those were personal and Janey really wanted to forget as much about that situation as she possibly could. She wanted to make new memories in Orlando with her new friends and now, with NSYNC too. “I’m really happy with where I am now though.” Janey added.

“You are a teacher right?” Chris asked.

“Yeah I am, how did you know that?” Janey wondered.

“Oh, we know about as much about you guys as you probably do about us.” Chris joked.

“Oh, I don’t know about that!” Janey exclaimed, “So how’s that dancer you are seeing? Or is it Dani again?” Janey joked along with Chris.

“Oh, so that’s how its gonna be huh?” Chris joked along. “Actually, I’m not seeing anyone right now.” He replied as they pulled up to a stoplight at a busy intersection. Janey was all of the sudden aware of the big brown eyes that seemed to be staring straight at her. She wished for the millionth time in her life that she had the ability to read minds and find out exactly what was going on in that head of his. ‘I mean’ she thought, ‘he couldn’t possibly be interested in a schoolteacher from New Hampshire? This guy could have any girl that he wanted in a heartbeat!’

There was an eerie silence in the car between Chris and Janey at that moment. Cay and Justin seemed to be getting along quite well in the back of the car, just chatting away but Janey couldn’t hear what they were discussing and she was desperately trying to find something else to discuss and get her and Chris off of the subject of relationships. That was one subject she really didn’t want to discuss, and in all places, she didn’t want to discuss it here and now!

The light changed to green and they continued down the road to a section of Orlando that really wasn’t the best. Janey knew the area well. After she had found out from friends where the compound was while she was living in Orlando she would just go out for drives, just to see if maybe, just maybe, she would catch a glimpse of the guys.

“See, I told you so!” she turned around to say to Cay.

“Damn girl! You were right! I can’t believe this!” Cay replied.

“What the heck are you two talking about?” Justin asked.

“Well, you see, ummmm, when I went to the Tampa concert last summer, one of the girls I met there kind of told me where the compound was. I told Cay that it was in this section of town and she didn’t believe me!” Janey replied.

“Well you see, its easy access to the strip clubs!” Chris joked. “At least it makes Joey and Lance happy!” At which point the car was engulfed in laughter and Janey felt more comfortable. A quick right turn and down the road just a bit further and another right and the girls found themselves sitting outside of “the compound.” Neither of them could believe that they were actually there and that this was happening.

“Well ladies, here we are.” Justin announced as they pulled up to the lavish mansion sitting in front of them. Neither of them had ever seen a home as huge as the one that sat in front of them. Justin and Chris opened the doors for the girls and Cay and Janey held hands as they walked towards the door.

“So how are you doing?” Cay asked Janey. “Looked like you and Chris were getting pretty cozy up there in the front seat,” she joked.

“Oh yeah, and heck, I didn’t hear crap from you or Justin the entire ride. What happened to the Lance infatuation anyway?” Janey joked along with her sister.

“Well, I haven’t seen him yet now have I?” Cay replied, “But when I do…..hmmm…..what would Kim say? OHHHHHHHH LANCIE!”

“Just make sure you have your inhaler ready okay. I don’t want to be taking you to the hospital in a van full of NSYNC members and their bodyguards!” Janey joked.

“Hey you two? Are you coming or what?” Chris asked as he went back to get the girls who had been lagging behind the guys. “Let me guess, sister talk right?” he joked.

“Exactly, sister talk, but yes, we are coming. Let’s go!” Janey said as Chris led the way up to the door.

They walked inside and were welcomed into a house that was just enormous. The girls thought the place was big from the outside, well the inside was even bigger! This place was huge! Justin and Chris brought the girls down the hall into the family room type area where there was a big screen television, a huge stereo system and three more members of NSYNC. They both had to catch their breaths for a second, for they realized that they were standing in the room with all five members of the band.

Joey was the first to approach the girls. “Aren’t you going to introduce us to your new friends Chris?” he asked as he walked up to Janey. At that same moment, Lance crossed the room and walked towards Cay. She couldn’t believe that she was standing face to face with that pair of green eyes that had been haunting her mind for the past few years since she started liking NSYNC.

“Hey there, I’m Lance.” He said in a southern drawl to Cay. Cay stood there, speechless for the second time that day. She couldn’t believe that Lance was standing there and that he was talking to her.

“You’ll have to excuse her,” Justin joked, “She was this way with me too. She’ll come around in a sec and then you can’t get her to shut up!”

“Hey! What do you mean!” Cay suddenly said as she turned to smack Justin.

“See, I told you,” he joked, “Only kidding sweetie! It’s all in fun. This is Lance and this is Cay.” He introduced the two and Cay shook Lance’s hand. She found that the pair of green eyes that seemed so dreamy in pictures and on the television and all of the concerts she had attended were even more gorgeous when she was standing face to face with him. She now knew how Janey had felt when she met Chris for the first time. The girls had dreamed of this day and it was finally coming true.

“Hey, do I get to meet him or what?” Janey asked as Justin continued to introduce Janey to Lance and Joey to Caytlyn. Janey was always aware that Chris was not far away and that his eyes just never seemed to leave her. She couldn’t understand it. Why would this guy be looking at her so intently. She was just a plain girl, nothing really special she thought, but Chris seemed to be entranced by her.

“Wait a minute! What about me?” JC said from across the room. “I want to meet these lovely ladies too!” From the other side of the room, Janey saw JC approach them. He was even more gorgeous in person than she had imagined. Elley and Jess were going to be so excited when they got to see him. He was just looking beautiful. Cay and Janey both said hello to JC and shook their hands.

“So, what’s for dinner?” Joey asked, “I’m starving!”

“Yeah, go figure,” JC added, “You’ll have to excuse our friend Joey here. His stomach is kind of like our clock, we can set our watches by when he will be hungry.”

“Whatever!” Joey exclaimed, “yeah, and we can set our watches also by when JC is going to fall asleep!” The guys all continued to joke around with each other when Melinda entered the room.

“Are you guys terrorizing these girls?” she asked. “You know, they’ve raised a bunch of money for you all this week, you better be nice or they’ll give it to the Backstreet Boys!”

“Oh, we’re so sorry,” Chris turned to Janey, “Please don’t give it to them, how can we ever get your forgiveness?” Janey had a few ideas in her head but she decided to keep them right there and instead said, “Well, dinner would be great! We’re starving, we’ve been traveling all day.”

“Well than dinner it shall be,” Chris replied, “shall we?” he asked as he offered Janey his arm, which she gladly took. Lance did the same to Caytlyn.

“Wait a minute!” Justin exclaimed, “What’s up with this? Chris and Lance get girls on their arms and what about me, JC and Joey? Huh? What about us?”

“Well, I’ve only got two arms, Chris got one already, one of you can come and take my other arm. I don’t mind two dates!” Janey replied as JC quickly came and took her arm.

“Well, I get Cay then!” Justin said as he took hold of Cay’s other arm.

“Wait! What about me????” Joey exclaimed.

“Come on Joey, I’ll take all three of you!” Janey said.

“Oh, I know the perfect way to get her to dinner,” Chris said sneakily, “You grab an arm JC, I’ve got the other one and Joey, you grab her feet.” Quickly, the guys all got into place and Joey, JC and Chris picked up Janey and carried her to dinner, each getting to be her date.

“Wait, Wait!” Janey exclaimed laughing along with the guys. She was in amazement that this was really happening to her. “Well, all I have to say is that only two of you get to sit next to me at dinner, I’m not putting up with this for the rest of the night!”

“No problem.” Chris said, “I get first dibs!” And with that, the guys carried Janey to dinner and Cay was escorted by Justin and Lance.

Chapter 9

The girls were all back in their own rooms to grab something’s that they left there and then were heading back up to the Lucky Bitch Suite. Min, Jen, and Kim were already back in the room when Elley and Chele arrived.

“So what are you hoes gonna wear tonight?” Kim asked as she pulled out a pair of leather pants.

“I have not the foggiest idea,” Chele said in a distressed whine.

“Who knows what I am gonna come up with, whatever fits and looks good on me.” Elley replied as she pulled out her black satin pants from her bag

“Oh, El if you don’t wear those can I?” Jen asked.

“Um, let me think about that one for a second. NO cuz my butt is wearing these sexy things tonight. Hey Chele why don’t you try on this skirt. I think you would look cute in it.” Elley said as Chele continued to grab things out of her bag and throw them across the room in frustration because nothing was satisfying her at the moment knowing that she was gonna see NSYNC tonight.

“YO CHELE come back to the NSYNC world!” Jen and Min said in unison.

Chele lifted her head as she heard her name being screamed “WHAT?”

“Elley thinks you would look cute in this skirt try it on, and try on this shirt of mine with it too,” Jen said. Chele grabbed the outfit and disappeared into the bathroom.

At that moment there was a knock at the door. Min ran to get it and found the rest of the crew with frustration written all over their faces. “Come on in and join the crowd. We are all having problems with what we are gonna wear and how we are gonna do our hair.”

“Well at least we know we aren’t the only ones with that problem then,” Amy joked. Chele popped out of the bathroom just as Kim came out of the bedroom with their outfits in place. Jen and Min were next on the list to grab the rooms and get their outfits on.

“Turn the curling irons on while you are in there.” Robin yelled. Elley and Rebecca were next on the list to get their outfits on.

“Guys, I have no idea what I am gonna wear someone help me.” Robin whined.

“Okay here try these pants on of mine,” Min said.

“And put this tank on.” Elley said just as she walked out of the bedroom. She picked up the tank and hurled the shirt at Robin. Robin disappeared into the bathroom. Ten minutes later she reappeared with a smile on her face, which told the girls that the problem was solved.

An hour later, all of the girls were dressed and on their way to do the hair. “Okay y'all we have got to get this show on the road. I am so ready to eat, drink and party,” Jen laughed. “Hey you know what we are missing? Some NSYNC beats. Lets get some jams going she said as she crossed the room to turn on the CD player.”

Second later, Up Against the Wall filled the room and all of the girls were dancing around with their own thoughts of having their favorite NSYNC member pinned up against a wall or bet yet, their favorite member having them pinned up against the wall.

“JC is so thinking of me when he is singing this song,” Elley proclaimed.

“Yeah and Joey is thinking of me,” Jen replied.

“Oh whatever Elley, JC is totally mine. I will have him pinned against the wall before he can even protest,” Jess claimed.

“As I will have Joey pinned up against the wall before anyone has a chance to get his or her hands on him,” Kim challenged.

“Okay, there is no need to get into this right now because I don't want any arguing going on, I am totally here to have fun and if NSYNC is part of that fun then so be it but I am not counting on anything. Whatever happens, happens and I am gonna have a good time with my girls.”

“Well, I am just telling ya, I have staked claim on him.” Jess repeated.

“Okay Jess, we got the point, JC is yours.” Jen stopped the argument before it could escalate any further. “Besides that, what are the chances that any of us are gonna get anything else other than a handshake and maybe a how ya doin'?” Jen continued to bring the girls back to reality.

“I wonder what Jay and Cay are up to right now?” Min asked. Elley stopped with her hair and kind of got lost in her own world.

“You know they are probably spittin' some game at them boys right now. Trying to get them boys to fulfill their dreams. Well at least that is what I would be doing if I were them,” Elley responded evilly. “Man I would so just lay JC out on the dining room table in front of all the dinner guests if I could. I know that Jay and Cay have got to have some of those kind of thoughts running through their mind right now. Actually the are probably trying to resuscitate Cay because she hyperventilated at seeing her Bass Ass or how does Jay put it? That Infant of hers?” The group broke out in laughter at Elley's comment.

“You know laying any of them out on the table sounds really good right now,” Robin added. The girls continued to get ready for their big night. Makeup was being applied and hair was being crimped, curled, flattened and sprayed.

“Hey who has the lip-gloss? I want the shiniest kind I can find,” Elley asked

“I got it, right here,” Rebecca handed the gloss over. Elley applied and passed the gloss down the line of girls who were now busy looking over themselves and each other to make sure that all was perfect.

“Okay so are y'all hoochies ready to roll or what?” Kim yelled as Min turned off the radio. Kim was sportin' black leather pants with a tight red one sleeved shirt on. Min had on a black shirt w/slits that ended at her upper thigh and a mini sleeved shirt with bling bling on it

“I think we are ready to knock them NSYNC boys’ dead,” Chele giggled. She was wearing a short khaki skirt on with a mint green tee on.

“I don’t know about being able to knock them NSYNC boys’ dead, but I am sure ready to give it my best shot,” Elley joked. She had on her black satin pants and a camouflaged mini sleeved tee on that had orange hems and the word Incognito written in orange across the chest. The girls lined up one last time in front of the mirrors and took turns evaluating each other’s choice outfits. Jen had on a pair of black flare pants and a pink tank that fit well to her body. Robin had on a pair of black and blue snakeskin pants w/ a black crop top. Jess had on a red mini skirt with a white midriff shirt that said Devils Angel. Amy had on an angled baby blue skirt w/ a black mini sleeved midriff tee. Rebecca was sportin’ a pair of black leather pants w/ a white shirt that was backless except for the bottom strap that came together and the straps that tied around her neck.

After doing the last once over of each other they were ready to eat, drink, party and rock NSYNC's world. They all headed out the hotel room and down to the hotel restaurant for some grub before heading out for their night on the town. Little do they know what luck they are about to run into.

Chapter 10

Back at the compound everyone was eating and drinking and having a wonderful time at dinner. Janey and Cay didn’t think that they had EVER had a meal like this before. Not only was it an incredible meal but the company was pretty good as well. The girls had both been engrossed in conversations with the guys throughout the meal. Janey had a wonderful time talking with Joey and Chris and JC while Cay was involved in conversations with Justin and Lance. The girls were in their glory.

“Hey everyone,” Janey said, “I hate to cut this meal short, we’re having such a great time, but Cay and I really have to get to meet the rest of the girls.”

“Oh really, well, where are you all going tonight?” JC asked inquisitively.

“Well, our plans are to go to Tabu tonight. All the girls are supposed to be meeting us there.” Cay replied.

“Hey, that’s one of our favorite places to hang out. Do you think your friends would mind if we joined you?” Joey asked.

“Are you kidding? I think they’d be thrilled and they’d probably fall on their faces!” Janey replied. The answer set waves of laughter amongst everyone in the room. “Is there anyone that you guys should call there to let them know that you are going to be there? I wouldn’t want to see anything happen to you all.”

“You are just so smart sometimes.” Chris replied, “Actually, yeah, we should have security give them a call and also get all of you on the VIP list. That is if you want to hang with us tonight?” he asked directing the last bit right in Janey’s direction. She was hoping that this meant that she was going to get to do some dancing with Chris. Janey also knew that Cay was thinking the same exact thing about Lance. Her opportunity to dance with Lance coming this soon into their vacation, that was a dream come true. She was just going to have to fight off the other girls!

After a few phone calls it was all set and everyone was excited about going to the club. The guys had managed to get Cay and Janey as well as all of their friends onto the VIP list for the club so that they could all hang out together.

“Oh, I should call one of the girls to let them know where to go huh?” Janey turned to ask Chris.

“Yeah, that would be a good idea, if you don’t call them now then when they get to the club they won’t be able to get within 200 feet of you girls. I’m sure you have LOTS to tell them so far right?” he joked with Janey.

“Yeah, I have to tell them all about the obnoxious guys that I met tonight. Especially that Chris guy, what a jerk!” she joked right along with him. This was getting fun. She really felt like she could be herself around him and she really enjoyed that. “Seriously though, I don’t think the girls will even have clue one as to where they should go when they get to the club.” She turned and said to Chris.

“Good idea, do you have a phone to call them on? Or you can use the phone here.” He offered.

“No, I have a cell phone, if I called from a different number and they didn’t know the number they might not answer.” She replied. “So, do you want to tell me where to tell them to go or am I supposed to guess? Tell them to look for the screaming girls?”

“Oh, yeah, I guess you kinda need to know that huh?” Chris asked, “Just tell them to go to the bouncer and let him know that their names are on the list. You gave me everyone’s names right?”

“Yeah, I hope so, I’m just hoping I didn’t miss anyone.” Janey said, “Okay, I’ll be back in a few. Do you mind if I step outside?” she asked.

“Of course not, you can make the call in here if you want. Wait, I know, girl talk right? If this is anything like the conversations that you have with your sister then maybe its best you do step outside. We don’t like too much squealing in the house.” He joked with a huge grin on his face. “Just make sure that you let them know that I’m really a nice guy, regardless of what you have to say!” Chris joked.

“Oh heck, I’m telling them what a jerk you are! Are you kidding me? Now Joey on the other hand,” she said as Joey walked into the room, “I’m letting them all know what a sweet guy he is!”

“Of course,” Joey said grabbing Janey into a huge bear hug, “I knew I liked this girl for a reason! She has great taste!”

“Yeah, okay, hey, if I want to let these girls know where to go I need to call them now!” Janey said as she got herself out of the bear hug that Joey had her trapped in. From across the room she saw the eyes of Chris on both her and Joey. She couldn’t read his _expression but it almost looked like one of jealousy as Janey unraveled herself from Joey’s hug.

Janey excused herself from the guys and headed out the back doors, which led the way to a lake that adorned the back yard. Janey was amazed as she picked up her cell phone and began to dial Elley’s phone number. The backyard area was bigger than her entire house that she lived in. This place was amazing.

“Hey girl! What’s going on?” Janey said into her cell phone as Elley picked up.

“Oh My GOD! What’s going on with us? I think I should be asking that of you!” Elley replied.

“Oh, we’re having a great time. Where are you all right now anyway?”

“You are soooo not getting off that easy girl! First, where are you? Second, who is there? Third, is JC there? Wait, make that first, no wait, first should be how’s JC????”

“Elley, my dear, we’re talking about JC here, he’s doing great and HE LOOKS HOT!!!! When doesn’t he look hot???? Huh????” Janey replied.

“Okay, is Bobbie there or is it just you guys?”

“No, she’s not around here anywhere. There are no girls here except for me and Cay and Melinda of course. All the guys seem to be reliably un-attached at the moment. More for all of you. Speaking of which, I need to let you know where to meet us tonight!”

“What do you mean where to meet you? We’re just all going inside dancing I thought?” Elley replied.

“Actually, the guys will be joining us, and yes I mean all 5 of them! So what you all need to do is go to the main entrance of Tabu and let the bouncer know that you are on the VIP list, he’s gonna make sure that you get to the VIP area and we’ll meet you there okay?”

“WHAT!!! All the guys are coming! That’s amazing! Okay, so, I know you’re dying to tell me so I figure I should ask, how’s Chris?” Elley asked. In the background Janey could hear screams coming from all of her friends. She knew that they were all going crazy at that moment. If they could only see inside of Janey and see her heart doing somersaults! She couldn’t believe that not only did she just have dinner with Chris but she was about to go out dancing with him as well.

“Listen, I have to get going. I hear noise coming from the other room so everyone must be ready to go. I’ll see you at Tabu soon right? And we’ll talk about Mr. Kirkpatrick later when I’m sure he’s not within earshot. I’ll just tell you that dinner was the most amazing meal I’ve ever eaten in my life!” Janey said to her friend.

“You bitch! I can’t wait to hear about everything but for now I’ll settle in on my thoughts of dancing with JC tonight! I can’t wait to see you guys and to hear everything! We’ll see you there!” With a final exchange of goodbyes, Janey hung up the phone and turned to see all of the guys chatting with Cay and also to catch a glimpse of Chris looking out the door at her. She was still in amazement of everything going on but now it was time for a little dancing with her new friends.

“Okay, I think we’re all ready if you guys are.” Janey said as she entered the room.

“Does everyone know where to go?” Cay asked.

“Yeah, and needless to say they are a little excited!”

“Well, if you girls are ready I think we’ll get going.” Chris said. “Who’s going to ride in which car?” he asked as his eyes settled once again on Janey.

“Justin and I are going to drive together, hey Joey, you wanna ride with us? Lance asked.

“Sure, sounds good to me, but I think that Chris was referring to the girls. You don’t have your cars do you?” Joey asked.

“No, Chris and Justin picked us up so we need to get there somehow, unless you want all the girls coming here?” Janey joked.

“I don’t think that would be the best idea, at least not until we know they aren’t psycho or something. So Janey, are you going to be my date again?” Chris asked.

“I thought you’d never ask!” Janey replied.

“How bout you Cay, you wanna be our dates?” Lance asked.

“Sure!” she replied as she took the arms of both Lance and Justin. Janey took the arms of JC and Chris and they were on their way for a night of drinking, dancing and lots of fun with their friends.

Chapter 11

As Chris and JC drove Janey through the streets of Orlando she began to think back to her days of living in the city. There were some fun times that she had experienced but never in a million years did she think all that had happened to her in the past would lead her to where she was at the present moment. They talked about a variety of subjects ranging from the joys of little sisters to growing up in areas MUCH different from Orlando. Janey mentioned to the guys that both she and her sister Cay sang as well and had grown up singing in church choirs and Janey was even a music major in college.

“Hey, we’re going to be singing enough for you girls this weekend, how bout you sing for us?” JC asked.

“Yeah, okay sure, like I’m going to sing for you guys! You’d probably laugh us right out of the place!” Janey replied.

“Oh, I don’t think so, I don’t think we’ve ever laughed at someone’s singing, at least not to their face,” Chris joked.

“Thanks for the encouragement. I thought you were supposed to be my date! You should be nice to me!” Janey joked along with him, “Maybe some other time, after I’ve had at least a few drinks in me. Maybe we’ll sing Bye Bye Bye for you.”

“Oh yeah, that’s exactly what we want to hear, one more version of that song.” JC replied.

“Don’t you ever get tired of singing the same stuff? I mean you guys have to sing that song wherever you go!” Janey asked.

“Hey, I thought we weren’t going to do shop talk tonight? HUH? What happened to that?” Chris asked.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to,” Janey apologized, “We’re almost there aren’t we?” Janey asked as they were pulling down Orange Avenue. She had been to Tabu a few times when she lived in Orlando but this would be the first time that she was going to be in the VIP lounge. Needless to say, she was pretty excited, while at the same time being kind of nervous. Chris had been pretty interested in her when they were at the house and it was just Cay and Janey and the guys but now that he was going to be with everyone else she figured that he would be off with the other girls.

“See that long line up ahead?” JC asked, “Well, that’s it. We’re going to go around the back though, makes it easier for us to slip into the club without being too noticed.”

“So, how are we going to find all of your friends when we get there?” Chris asked.

“Well, my guess is that they will be in one of two places, either the dance floor or the bar on the way to the dance floor. They aren’t going to wait around, I know them, they are going to hear the music and head straight for that dance floor, and to loosen up they will all want to be drinking, just in case they haven’t already started!”

“Well, it shouldn’t be too hard to find them. If they went to the VIP area that they were supposed to then there won’t be too many people up there, if anyone at all.” JC replied. Janey was happy. Although she would love to keep these guys all to herself and Cay, she didn’t want to answer to her friends the next day if they got to spend the entire evening dancing with them by herself!

As they were all still joking around, the car pulled up behind the club where Lance, Justin, Cay and Joey were already waiting. She had to admit, although she wasn’t a huge Lance fan, he looked damn hot that night. Those leather pants that he had on fit him like a glove and she knew that her friends were going to flip out when they saw him. She could hear Kim right at that moment and she knew that Amy and Mindy would be just as excited. Joey was dressed casually in a pair of ripped jeans with some fringe around the holes and a white wife beater with an button down shirt opened. Justin was dressed as usual in a pair of blue jeans but they were the ones the girls loved that were half khaki and half blue jeans with a simple top. JC looked amazing as always dressed in a camouflage top reminiscent of the Atlantis special with a pair of patched blue jean pants, enough to make Elley and Jess fall flat on their faces when they saw him. Lance made Cay stop dead in her tracks when she saw the black leather pants that she loved so much with a tight mint green tank top. Chris was dressed in Janey’s favorite jeans that he wore during the Pop Odyssey tour that were splattered with paint with a black FuMan Skeeto top with the orange logo. They could probably be wearing garbage bags and the girls would all be happy with what they had on!

Janey knew that one of the first stops she wanted to make once inside was to the ladies room just to make sure that everything was still in place and that she looked great. Chris didn’t seem to mind what she looked like as every time she turned around he seemed to be glancing in her direction. Lance seemed to be entranced with Cay as well and Janey knew that her sister was in her glory at that moment.

The group all entered into the club and was greeted by the pulsating rhythm of a current song remixed by an incredible DJ blaring away. Janey and Cay quickly excused themselves as they went to look for their friends and make a quick run to the ladies room.

“What are you drinking?” Chris asked as Janey was about to walk away.

“Oh yeah, can you get me a Long Island Iced Tea?” she asked.

“Going for the hard stuff tonight huh?” Chris asked, knowing deep down that having Janey drinking might just loosen her up even more and they could go out and do some serious dancing on that dance floor.

“Heck, that’s nothing, just wait until we start with the tequila shots,” she said back quickly knowing full well that she would be drinking up a storm with these guys and the girls as well. The girls had already all been out to an NSYNC concert after party together and it got a bit crazy when they all started drinking! The girls couldn’t even remember how they all ended up back at the hotel that night with all the drinking that they did.

“We’ll be right back,” she said to Chris and turned away with Cay who was giving her drink request to Lance and Justin at the same time.

“Oh My God! Can you even believe this night Jay?” Cay asked as the girls entered the bathroom.

“No kidding huh? Looks like you and Lance are getting pretty cozy. What about the ‘skank ho bitch?’ Is she still around or what?”

“Nope, she’s gone, I’m not really sure what happened but he’s single again. He seemed pretty upset about her though. I’m wondering what happened, he really didn’t say much about it. What about you though? Looks like something is DEFINITLY going on with you and Chris huh?”

“Oh Cay, you know me, I’d never see it anyway, but we’re really enjoying talking and stuff. He’s just like me, VERY sarcastic and at the same time being super sweet. He’s exactly what I imagined he’d be like. But come on Cay, do you really think someone like that would fall for me?”

“Yeah, I do! I know that you’ve had some crappy relationships in the past Jay, but that doesn’t mean that everyone is going to be like that moron! You deserve a nice guy like Chris. I’ll tell you one thing, he hasn’t had his eyes off of you all night long! Now, lets get back out there and have ourselves some fun. You know that the girls are going to come searching for us soon if we don’t get out there!”

“You’re right, at least about the part concerning the other girls, the rest of it, well, we shall just have to wait and see. I’m all about having some fun tonight though!” With that the girls took one last look in the mirror, tipped the waitperson in the bathroom and headed on out to do some serious dancing.

Chapter 12

When they returned to the area where all the guys were waiting, they found drinks waiting for them ready to go. Everyone settled down and had a quick drink before heading on out to the dance floor. Janey and Cay were looking around for their friends, not quite sure where they might be, but knowing Elley and the crew they were probably already on the dance floor tearing it up with any person that they could find!

“Come on Janey,” Chris said, “You said you are a singer so you must have some rhythm, lets see those dance moves,” he said as he pulled her up and onto the dance floor after they had all finished their first drink. Janey didn’t put up a fight at all, she was far from being drunk but had a nice buzz going due to the strong drink that she had so she headed on out followed by JC and Joey. Cay and Lance had already started dancing prior to the group heading out onto the floor and had been getting pretty close. Janey found herself in the middle of a continuous dream as she was dancing with Chris to “AM to PM”.

“Hey, looks like JC and Joey have found some friends out on the dance floor tonight, go figure, they always seem to find someone to dance with,” Chris said to Janey over the blaring music. Janey turned to see the girls that JC and Joey were dancing with.

“OH MY GOD! How did they manage to do that!” Janey exclaimed as she turned to look at who the guys had found to dance with. “Of all the girls in this damn club they find them!”

“Okay, I give up, who are they dancing…” Chris stopped dead in the middle of his sentence knowing exactly who JC and Joey had found to dance with, “I can’t believe that they found them of all people.” Chris replied referring to the fact that JC and Joey indeed had found Elley, Jess, Jen and Kim to dance with. “Looks like they are all having a pretty good time though,” Chris replied looking at Janey and hoping that she was having as good a time as her friends seemed to be dancing with the guys.

“We have to go over and say hi,” Janey turned and said to Chris. She wasn’t even sure if Chris was having a good time but was hoping that he was enjoying himself as much as his friends seemed to be with her friends.

“Yo Bitch!” Janey said to Elley as she approached the girls. They had all ventured off to the sides of the dance floor to grab a quick drink before heading back out to do some more dancing. Chris seemed to be right on her heels as she crossed the room.

“What up dork!” Elley said to her friend. The girls gave each other a quick hug happy to finally have found each other at the club. “Soooo, how was dinner?” she whispered inquisitively.

“Yeah, okay, like I’m going to talk to you about that now, WHATEVER!” Janey replied, “So, it looks like you’ve met my good friends JC and Joey huh?” as she went to go and say hello to the guys.

“Oh, I see, they are your good friends now huh?” Elley joked.

“Of course she is,” Joey replied putting his arm around Janey.

“Come on over here sweetie,” JC said as he put his other arm around her to which Elley glared at Janey as if to say ‘touch him and die bitch! You’ve got Chris wrapped around your little finger already!’ but of course she was only joking. Janey knew that Elley was all about JC and had been for so long now and that it was Chris that she really enjoyed.

“See, I told you, my good friends JC and Joey,” Janey joked with her friends. “Have you guys met everyone?” she asked the guys.

“Yeah, I think we’ve met just about everyone so far,” JC replied, “You girls really do travel in a pack don’t you?”

“Well,” Janey replied, “this is actually the first time we’ve all been together in person”

“Okay, I don’t get it,” Joey said, “What do you mean in person?”

“Didn’t they tell you?” Elley asked, “We all met online and we’ve met sporadically throughout the year but this is the first time that all of us are at the same place at the same time!”

“Amazing isn’t it?” Chris asked the guys, “Janey was telling me all about it in the car. They all became friends and then planned this weekend down here in Orlando together. They’ve been planning it for over a year now!” Chris continued. Janey was in shock that he actually remembered everything. He really was listening to her in the car. She thought that he was just listening to kind of waste the time while they were driving to the club. She was completely oblivious to the fact that as Chris was talking about the girls all meeting up and all that he was looking right at Janey the entire time.

“That really is amazing,” JC said looking almost directly at Elley. Janey knew that her friend would be excited that she was receiving all this attention from the one and only JC Chasez. This was the stuff that all those fan fics that the girls read at home were made from. Regular girls just having a chance meeting with NSYNC and getting to dance and hang out with them. The girls always said that if they ever had the chance to meet the guys that they would all just be able to hang out.

“So you wanna head back out and do some more dancing?” Elley asked directing her question right at JC.

“Yeah, lets go!” JC replied and took Elley by the hand and off they went onto the dance floor.

“They really make a cute couple huh?” Janey said to Chris.

“Yeah, as long as she’s not like Bobbie the bitch then I’m fine with that!” Chris said in a tone that was sounding very protective of his friend and band mate. Janey had heard rumors about Bobbie but wasn’t really sure how many of those were true. From the sounds of it, Chris didn’t want to see his good friend hurt again. She didn’t know how she could convince him, or even if he would believe her, but the last thing that Elley was going to do was “use” JC nor was she going to hurt him. She would be excited just to spend time getting to know him and from the looks of the two of them on the dance floor she was doing a good job of it! The two of them were grinding away to an upbeat song and seemed to be having a grand time.

“So hey, how bout we go out there and join them? What do you say?” Chris turned and asked Janey.

“Sounds good to me,” Janey replied and let Chris lead the way out to the dance floor.

Chapter 13

Many songs later and quite a few drinks later "Last call for alcohol" rang out over the dance floor. Jayne was finally brought back to reality. She had been having such a good time that she completely lost all track of time. She looked over Chris' shoulder to see that most of the girls were still grinding with the men they had captured. Elley and Cay had this look of surprise written on their faces. Jayne guessed that they were just as surprised by the alcohol call as well.

"Is there something wrong Jayne?" a concerned Chris asked.

"No, I am just kind of surprised at how fast this night has gone. It seems like we only just started drinking and dancing and they are already doing the last call for alcohol. Hell, we didn't even get to do my shots tonight." Jayne smirked.

"I guess we will have to take a rain check on those until tomorrow night huh?" Chris coyly asked.

Jayne was a little surprised by his response. She was becoming excited just knowing that there was a possibility that she was gonna get to spend another night of fun with the man that she lusted after. "I guess we will Mr. Kirkpatrick," Jayne replied back just as coyly. ‘Imagine’ she thought to herself, ‘another night out with Chris’, well, he’s probably just joking around and trying to be nice to a girl that he’s never met before tonight.

“Well, seeing as its last call, how about one more drink?” Chris asked Jayne.

“Oh sure, why not!” she replied. Chris led Jayne off of the dance floor and over to the bar where they spotted Elley, JC, Caytlyn and Lance just standing around. Kim and Joey were still out on the dance floor grinding away and having a grand time. Jayne couldn’t help but notice the eyes of every girl in the room that she knew were on her right at that moment and she wondered how long those eyes had been staring at her. She knew that she was having an incredible time with Chris but she wasn’t sure how much it showed on the outside. From the looks on her friends’ faces, it was showing pretty well!

“Hey you guys! Can you believe how fast this night has flown by?” Jayne said as she approached Elley and Cay.

“No kidding!” Elley replied, “Looks like we have a long night ahead of us huh girls?

“What do you mean? I’m going back to the hotel and falling fast asleep. I’m beat!” Jayne replied.

“Like hell you are girl! We’ve got a lot of talking to do!” Elley replied shocked that Jayne could even think about sleep after the night that they had.

“Talking? What about tomorrow? Everything’s all set. We went to Planet Hollywood today and spoke with Javier. He said that the meal is set, the security is set and we have the entire restaurant. They even put in a special loop of just NSYNC stuff to show on the big screen. Oh wait, unless you mean talking about you and JC El. The two of you couldn’t have gotten much closer unless you were in bed together! Or wait, maybe we’re talking about you and Lance Cay! Damn you girls!” Jayne replied.

“Okay, EARTH TO JAYNE…lets think here, who the hell have you been grinding with all night long? What the hell do you think we are going to talk about? I mean other than me and my Bass ASS! Damn, he’s hot! ” her sister replied shocked that she could even think of anything but Chris at a moment like this.

“Exactly girl! The two of you do make a damn cute couple though. I mean, not as hot as JC and I but you know what I mean!” Elley added.

“Well, if you talk a little louder they just might hear us and they can join in on the conversation!” Jayne exclaimed, “anyway, there’s nothing going on there. We were just dancing and having fun. He’s a nice guy though. Just as funny as you would have imagined and there’s this other sweet side.”

“Yeah, we’ve got nothing to talk about, okay, sure!” her sister said. “I just wish that I could be a fly on the wall in between those guys right now though just to hear what they are talking about!” she continued. “I almost wonder if they are talking about us the way that we are talking about them.

Sure enough they were.

“So, you and Jayne huh? Looks like you finally got over Dani!” Lance said to Chris.

“Yeah, she’s really cute. You two look great together!” JC added.

“I don’t know guys. She’s really great and all but I think there just might be something there. Not really sure what it is. We’ll see how the rest of the weekend goes though.” Chris replied to his friends.

“Oh whatever man, you’re falling for her fast!” JC responded, “Not like I have any room to talk, did you check out Elley? Man she’s hot! And funny too!”

“Listen to you!” Lance replied, “One week its I MISS BOBBIE and the next its CHECK HER OUT!”

“Okay Bass, lets talk about you then. Do you remember a girl named Laurie by any chance? Seems to me you were dating someone by that name up until about a month or so ago weren’t you? Looked like you forgot completely about her out there on the dance floor tonight dancing with Cay huh?” the guys continued to joke with their friends. It seemed that all of them had found new interests in the love department that night.

Okay everyone, grab your partners and get back out on the dance floor, this is our last song of the night!” came the announcement from the DJ as he began to play “Crazy” by KC and JoJo.

“Shall we?” Chris asked as he approached Jayne.

“Who me?” Jayne replied coyly, “I thought you’d never ask.” And with that the two headed out to the dance floor. At the same time JC had approached Elley and Lance had done the same to Cay. The six of them headed out for one last dance of the evening and one that they hoped would not be the last dance for any of them.

Chapter 14

Janey sat in the backseat of the taxicab headed back to the hotel with her eyes closed. She couldn’t even begin to believe the day that she had just experienced. Her sister Cay and Elley were deep into conversation about the evening they had just experienced as well. Everyone had just drank more than their share of alcohol so the noise level was at a feverish pitch.

“You know, watching him on TV and in all those damn concerts, I knew that he could move, but DAMN! Get him in person and its twice as bad.” Elley discussed with Caytlyn. Her ‘evening of dreams’ of getting to dance with none other than JC Chasez, a dream that she had been having since MMC days had finally come true. “Even if nothing at all happens for the rest of the weekend, my weekend has officially been made and I can go home a happy girl.”

“Whatever! You know you want to kiss him at least once before you leave this city girl! Now me on the other hand, just getting to dance with Lance tonight is more than enough for me. He’s a much better dancer in person than he seems to be on all the stuff we’ve seen him dancing on. Must have gotten more lessons from Wade or something.” Cay replied.

“Okay, yeah sure! Well maybe more than once…..Like you don’t want to kiss Lance, yeah I believe that. NOT!” Elley joked back.

“Hey Jay? What’s going on in that head of yours? Got your thoughts set on Chris huh?” Caytlyn asked her sister.

“Huh? What? No, I wasn’t thinking about Chris at all actually. My mind is so preoccupied with tomorrow and the event that I haven’t even really thought about Chris,” Jay replied.

“Yeah and I believe you like I believe the devil telling me that it is cold in hell,” Cay stated. Elley was laughing hysterically at Cay’s remark. Jay smirked too because as much as she hated to admit it her sister was right. Chris had been on her mind since she let go of him on the dance floor and got a goodnight hug from him.

“Okay okay, so maybe I did think of him a little bit,” Jay admitted. “I mean I am seriously thinking about tomorrow’s events and stuff because we have an early day and a full day at that and we are just now leaving the club.” Elley and Cay stared at Jay like she had gone mad. “Hello, is Jay in there??? We just fucking kicked it with three of the hottest people alive and you are telling me that you are thinking about something other than Chris?” Elley pressed.

Jay looked back at Elley. “Okay so maybe you are right. I am thinking about him, but I don’t want to get myself worked up for something that isn’t gonna happen. I got to party with him and actually got to chat with him on a personal level, which is more than what I ever thought I would get from him. I just don’t want to get my hopes up and then be let down because I thought there was something else going on.”

“Hold up there speed racer. You are getting all serious. All Elley said was that you couldn’t possibly be sitting there not thinking about what happened tonight. She didn’t say anything about marriage plans or children’s names, man chill out. We are just asking how your night of dreams went, we aren’t talking about commitments or anything,” Cay stated. Jay looked back at her sister and Elley and was about to say something but the cab stopped and it was time to get out. The three girls paid the driver and started their journey to their rooms. “Hey El, why don’t you stay with us tonight because I am assuming all of your shit is in our room anyways,” Jay offered.

“Yeah okay that would be good. That way I can just take a shower and go to bed. Well, I am not sure if I even want to take a shower…that would mean washing off the parts of my body that JC touched,” Elley joked. The two girls busted up laughing at her statement.

“Hey you bitches…what is up with leaving us at the club???” Mindy said. The three girls turned around to face the rest of the group.

Jen looked back and forth between Elley, Jay and Cay and said, “We want details, start with the door closing when you guys left for dinner and only stop when you get to the part where we stopped you here in the lobby just now.”

The group of girls proceeded to the Lucky Bitch Suite and slithered out of their clothes and into some more comfortable pajamas for the chat they were about to have with the girls. After everyone was set and all ears, Jay and Cay proceeded to fill the girls in on the drive to the compound and dinner. Then they told them about the drive to the club. Elley jumped in and helped them with the club scene since she was one of them that got the chance to dance with JC Chasez himself.

“I just can’t fathom the idea that this has all happened to our very own grab mastahs,” Kim said. “You bitches are the luckiest damn people in the world right now. You got nothing but envy from me.”

“I can only imagine what the rest of this weekend is going to be like. I mean man it started out with a boom, so I wonder if it is gonna stay this good, get better, or get worse. I mean we have seen them, met them, talked to them, danced with them, and drank with them, what more could possibly go right?” Robin said. The girls continued to chat a while longer. They soon became too tired to continue the conversation and thus made their way to their rooms to get a few hours of sleep. Jay fell asleep to the scent of Chris that lingered in the air around her. Cay was replaying the drunken Bass Ass Shake in her head, and Elley drifted off to sleep with memories of JC’s breath on her neck. None of the girls could even imagine what the weekend had in store for them. It had only just begun and the best was yet to come.

Chapter 15

‘What time does that clock say?’ Janey thought to herself. ‘Dear god, its only 5:30 a.m. and here I am wide-awake! What is wrong with me?’ But she knew exactly what was wrong with her. Her mind was totally preoccupied with the evening she had just experienced. She wondered if Elley and Cay were having the same problems sleeping. They sure were doing the same things with JC and Lance the entire evening that Janey was doing with Chris but the two of them seemed to be happily off in dreamland. ‘Sleep Janey, Sleep, that’s what you need to shrug off last night.’ she thought again. Fitfully she fell back into sleep only to be awaken in another 15 minutes.

“Forget this,” Janey thought out loud. She was tired of trying to fall asleep only to wake up in another five minutes. So, she quickly dressed in some sweat, a t-shirt and some sneakers and left a note for her friends and sister: Maybe a nice walk would be exactly what she needed to shake off her feelings and to get her head on straight before the days events.

“Hey guys! I couldn’t sleep so I went for a walk. I’ll be back soon! Hope you had wonderful NSYNC dreams! Love ya, Janey” And with that, out the door she went with the VIP passes for CFTC in hand to deliver to all of her friends.

Janey thought about the day ahead and all of the excitement that was sure to follow especially when all of her friends were about to find out that they were all going to get to have VIP passes for CFTC. It was amazing that Janey and Cay had been able to keep it a secret as long as they had. The girls had known about the VIP passes from Janey’s friend Scott for longer than she could imagine. She had only met Kim, Amy and Robin when she found out that she was getting them and here it was almost 10 months later and she was going to finally be able to deliver the passes to her friends.

Janey arrived at the front desk just as the night crew was leaving and the morning crew was arriving. She carefully explained to the front desk agent that she needed to get private voicemails sent to all of her friends rooms so that they would look on the outside of their doors for their passes.

“Sure,” the agent said, “That’s not a problem at all.”

“Thank you so much!” Janey said, “I really appreciate all of your help.”

“Hey, I’ve got a question for you,” the agent continued, “were you girls out at Tabu last night?”

“Huh?” Janey questioned.

“Well, my friends and I were there and I swear you look like a girl that I saw dancing at the club last night. Matter of fact, you look like the girl who was out there dancing with one of those NSYNC guys! So are you the latest girlfriend or what?” the agent asked.

Janey couldn’t believe her ears. It wasn’t as if she was blind to the fact that she was at the club the night before or that they weren’t the only people there. The place, as a matter of fact, was completely packed. People were all over the place. “Why would someone recognize me of all people?” she thought. She figured she’d best come up with a good answer and quick. “Um, yeah, my friends and I were at Tabu last night. That’s a great club isn’t it?” She was hoping that the agent wouldn’t bring up Chris again for she certainly didn’t want to be answering to that.

“Yeah, it really is.” the agent continued and then looked down at her computer, “Wait a minute! You are the girls staying in the suite that was paid for by NSYNC! Oh my god! That was you last night! Were those your friends? Do you know NSYNC? How the heck did you get where you are?” the questions were flying from the agent’s mouth at a mile a minute. Janey just was trying to figure out a way to escape!

“Well, yeah, we are the girls staying in the NSYC suite. I really can’t answer all of your questions but yes, my friends and I were dancing with them last night. They are really pretty nice guys.” Janey felt that the answer she gave was quick and to the point, “Well, thanks again for all of your help!” and with that Janey escaped as fast as she could back to her room.

“Dear god! Where have you been girl!” Elley and Cay asked as Janey came into the room. It was already 8:30 and Janey had spent the last 2 ½ hours just wandering around the hotel and delivering the CFTC passes to all of her friends. “We’ve been so worried about you!” Cay continued, “We thought maybe you ran off or something!”

“Now girls, lets be serious here, why the heck would I do that? I mean come on! This is OUR weekend! We have to have fun. Now, what I do want to discuss with y’all is the conversation I had with the girl at the front desk.” Janey continued to tell the girls all about the conversation that she had experienced.

“Do you think I said the right thing?” Janey asked.

“Hell yeah, I probably would have added something like…AND ITS NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUISINESS BITCH!!!” Elley replied.

“Well, I didn’t want to seem too rude to her but I really thought that the line of questioning was rather uncalled for. I mean it’s really none of anyone’s business who the guys are out there dancing with or who they are spending time with. Although, I must admit, to have her notice me and to recognize me as the girl who was dancing with a guy from NSYNC was pretty cool! Who could have imagined I would be answering a line of questioning like that huh?” The girls all contemplated on that a moment. They were all pretty shocked about the night before.

“Well, if we don’t get our asses in gear soon the guys will never want to talk to us again because they are gonna take one whiff of our skank asses when they see us and think that we never shower!”

“You’re right El. We really ought to get going. The festivities start at 11:30 this morning so we really should get a move on. Cay and I still have to stop by Planet Hollywood to make sure that all is set for tonight too.”

“Well then girls, I shall say goodbye for now. I’m headed back to my slum of a room to go and get showered and changed and stuff.” Elley said as she was getting ready to leave the room.

“Don’t forget to wear your HH shirt girl! We are all wearing them today!” Cay shouted as Elley was almost out the door.

“Which ones are we wearing?” Elley asked and immediately stopped herself, “Okay, yeah, I’m a dumb ass, I know we are wearing our basketball jerseys today. That was dumb! Okay, I’ll see you girls later.” All of the girls had a couple of their Helping Hands shirts that had been made up throughout the year.

They all loved exchanging stuff through the mail, everything from homemade CD’s to shirts to great pictures that they all took at the concerts. But by far, the best thing that the girls had made all year was their basketball jerseys that were modeled after the ones the guys wore the year before. They had their own team though instead of Daze and Knights, they were the Mastah’s and each had their favorite number and their names on the back. They couldn’t wait to show the guys the shirts that they made and were very excited about wearing them to the ball game that day.

Chapter 16

"Oh My God!!!! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!" Came a voice on the other end of the phone. From what Jay and Cay could make of it, they were the voices of Amy and Robin. "I can’t believe that you girls were able to do this!" This was only the beginning of a long stream of phone calls that seemed to be coming into the suite that morning as each of the girls got their message to open their door for a big surprise and hanging on the door handle was a bag which held their VIP badges for CFTC.

The morning was furry of excitement as everyone got ready to head out to the basketball game and started picking out their clothes for the evening that was to come at Planet Hollywood. No one yet knew that NSYNC was actually going to be at the dinner that night. It was tearing Jay up to not be able to spill the surprise to one of the girls, but she wasn’t about to do that because she wouldn’t miss seeing the expressions on their faces as the guys walked in, not for a million years.

"Okay, so how does this look???" Elley asked. She had tied her jersey in a knot behind her back. The girls just looked at her and shook their head. "It looks like an old fad that they used to do like two or three years ago," Jess said.

"Well, I’m am gonna wear it like this then because if it is an old fad then no one else will be doing it right? Besides that, these jerseys do nothing for my figure so I have to do something to kind of show off a little

of what I am working with here." The girls just shrugged it off. A short time later though, several of the other girls joined in. The group of girls preoccupied their time with getting their hair pulled up in messy ponytails, cornrows and other wild dos.

"Hey Jay, are you doing okay? You have been kind of quiet all morning. Are you sure everything is all right?" Elley asked her friend.

"Yep, I’m great. I am just anticipating today’s events and saying a small prayer that things run smoothly. I still have to stop by Planet Hollywood this morning before the events take place at the arena to make sure that everything is in order there." Elley started grinning at Jay. "What?!" Jay asked curious as to what her dear friend was thinking. "Let’s say a prayer that we get to see NSYNC again tonight….no wait let’s say a prayer that we see Chris, Lance and JC again tonight….no wait….let’s pray that we get the undivided attention of those three again because neither of us will be happy just to see them." With that Elley called everyone into the room. "Hey Ladies!" She called, "Everyone in here now, we have to pray," and with that all of the girls entered the room and dropped to their knees as Elley led them in prayer.

" Dear Grab Mastah Hova, We are calling upon you today to ask for your help and cooperation with the Helping Hands job campaign. Please give us the strength and ability to lend our helping hands to those that may need it the most. Hova, please let the boys forget their boxer briefs and go free ballin today…and please if that happens let Cay have her inhaler with her for her sake and for the sake of us because we are gonna need it. Let the jock straps fail and our services be called upon to do the adjusting of the package. Please, Please, please let the shorts these five hot mofo’s are wearing cling to their body like a well fitted condom, so that we grab mastahs can see what they are working with and prepare ourselves accordingly. Let the booty bounce as they run up and down the court purely for our viewing pleasure. Let the sweat drip from their bodies and the muscles protrude because a man hard at work makes a woman’s goods twerp. Please please please let us all have packed an extra pair of panties because if I see any of this wonderful stuff that we are requesting from you, we are gonna need them….oh yeah and Hova can you also be so gracious as to grant us the privilege of having them in our company again tonight. Thank you dear great grabbin lord and AMEN!!!!" The girls all had tears in their eyes from the prayer that was just put before them. ‘Leave it up to Elley to come up with something like that great prayer’ Jay thought to herself.

"Hello….Jay here how can I help you?" Jay said into the phone that had rung just as Elley had finished her prayer. "Oh I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope that everything else is okay. ……I’ll let the girls know to meet with Beth when they get to the arena though….no I won’t be there right away, I have to go and finish up a few things for the dinner tonight but I should be there by early afternoon…….Oh how sweet….well, tell them that I promise to be there in time for the game…..No thank you, bye!"

"Okay, I give up who was that? Chris again????" Elley asked her friend jokingly.

"No it wasn’t Chris. Like he’d really call me! That was one of Melinda’s assistants, she said that Melinda was not going to be able to meet up with us today, she had to go out of town. So when you girls all get there you need to look for someone named Beth, she’s going to show you where to go. I was also informed to PLEASE be careful what you say to her. She is Melinda’s assistant and is apparently VERY close to the guys, especially JC. SO….if what you are saying you don’t want to get back to the guys DON’T SAY IT!!! GOT IT!!!!" Jay put emphasis on the last part because she knew her friends pretty well and after the events of the last evening she was sure that everyone was going to be talking about how everyone seemed to be getting pretty friendly with the guys from NSYNC.

"Well, we better all head out then, the events start soon and I want us to get our butts in those awesome seats of ours." Elley said. "Are you sure you don’t want us to go with you Jay?"

"NO! I mean, its fine, you girls go and enjoy yourselves. I just have a few things to take care of and then I will be there. I promise." There was no way that Jay was going to let any of her friends come along to Planet Hollywood because not only was she going to have to discuss the entrance of the guys that night but she didn’t want her friends to miss all the fun that was going to happen in the morning.

With that the girls went their separate ways saying goodbye to Jay as she headed off to Planet Hollywood.

"So do you think your sister has something up her sleeve or what?" Elley asked Cay as they got into their cab to go to the arena.

"I have no clue girl. But she’s been acting very strange so far this weekend. I know that things have been rough for her lately but heck, she should be having more fun especially after all that attention she was getting last night from Mr. Kirkpatrick!"

"Do you think he really likes her?" Mindy asked.

"I really don‘t know. But you know as well as I do that she’s not going to let her heart get broken again and she has all these damn walls built up because of Scott. So basically, even if he does like her it’s going to take a ton of bricks to her head to make her realize it."

"Well, they looked pretty cozy last night," Jen added, "She just really deserves to be happy." The girls continued talking all the way to the T.D. Waterhouse Center where the activities of the day were taking place. At the same time Jay sat in her cab wondering about the evening to come and why in the world the rep from WEG was asking for the guys if she was going to make it to the activities of the day.

‘Why would they care if I was there or not?’ she thought. There were tons of other girls that were going to be there screaming out their names and throwing themselves at their feet, not to mention the 15 or so that were just up in her room! ’Oh well’ she thought, they’ll see me soon enough.

Chapter 17

“Hi there! You must be Janey right?” a young lady asked Cay as she entered into the arena surrounded by the rest of the girls.

“Oh no. I’m sorry, I’m not Janey, I’m her sister Caytlyn. She had to go and take care of some things at Planet Hollywood for our event tonight. But you must be Beth, the rep from WEG right?”

“Yeah I am. Nice to meet all of you. I’ll show you girls down to the area where you will be sitting.” Beth led the group of girls right down to the floor to sit behind the benches that the guys would be sitting on.

“Oh My God! I can’t believe that we are sitting up here!” Mindy said as she turned to Jen, “I mean, just think, last year we weren’t this close in Las Vegas! We’re going to have to give Janey some mad love when we see her later.”

A few moments later the boys from NSYNC began to make their way out onto the court. They began running up and down the court. They grabbed the basketballs and took off to shoot some hoops to try and warm up for the game that would be starting soon. The girls sat in their chairs scoping out the members of their favorite band shoot hoops. They excitement between the girls was at an all time high because they would be sitting behind a few members of the group to watch the game. It was clear to all the girls who the best players were going to be and who couldn’t play basketball at all! Justin immediately took charge out on the court as he was one of the best players out there. The girls began to wonder if maybe if Justin wasn’t in NSYNC maybe he’d be in basketball somewhere.

"Alright guy, I am warmed up enough," Chris said as he turned to head towards the bench when he noticed the group of girls from the night before. "Hey look, it's Gwen Stefani,”Chris said as he winked at Elley.

"Hey there, um, what's your name again?" Elley played. "I am sorry but I have met so many fans that it is hard to keep names straight." Chris walked up to the group as Elley met him and gave him a quick hug.

"You guys are looking good out there," Cay said from her seat to Chris and Joey as he walked up.

"Yeah, I always look good, I thought you knew," Chris joked. "So I see that you all made it here safe and sound, did you have any problems getting here?" Chris asked as he searched the crowd. The rest of the guys spotted Joey and Chris and walked up to the girls to say their 'hi'.

“No, not at all, Beth took good care of us making sure that we got to our seats. How are you guys all doing this morning? Not too tired from last night are ya?” Cay said to Chris as he came over for a quick hug. He still continued to search the group and noticed that Janey wasn’t there and he wondered where she was.

“Yeah, we’re doing fine. We’re used to this. How bout you girls though? You must all be exhausted because I KNOW you didn’t go back to those rooms last night and sleep right away.”

“How did you guess,” Cay said jokingly, “actually we are all fine. Nice and rested and ready for a day of fun!”

“That’s good. Hey, aren’t you missing something?” Chris asked as he pointed to an empty seat between Elley and Cay. “I thought you girls were attached at the hip or something. No wait, that was you and JC last night right Elley?” Chris joked.

"Oh yeah, right, no dear um, Christopher, I believe you are mistaken because that was you and Jay that seemed to be attached at the hips last night," Elley joked right back with a wink.

"Speaking of which, where is Ms. Jay?" Chris asked a bit concerned that he may just have scared her off already which was something he definitly didn’t want to do.

“She said something about going back home because of this obnoxious guy she met last night,” Elley replied, “She hopped a plane at OIA first thing this morning,” she continued sounding so incredibly convincing. Chris’ face dropped to the floor.

“You aren’t serious are you? I mean, we were only dancing, is she okay?” Chris asked looking extremely concerned.

"Is she okay??? Are you serious? She hopped the first flight out this morning to get out of here because she was so upset. That should answer your question on whether she is okay or not " Elley continued as she saw JC walk up behind Chris.

“Good morning ladies, did everyone get a good nights sleep last night?” JC said as he approached the group. As he came up behind Chris he noticed that his friend was looking very distraught. “What’s going on man? Is everything okay?”

“Are you kidding me? Everything is not okay, do you notice someone missing from our happy group of friends here? She left C! She left!” Chris said to his friend.

The girls couldn’t control their laughter at this point. They wanted to keep Chris going but they just couldn’t bear to see him so upset any longer. The poor guy looked like he lost his best friend or his dog or something.

“Chris, she’s fine, she just went to go and take care of a few things for dinner tonight. She’ll be here later.” Elley said, “Sheesh, and I thought that Cay was the gullable one!”

“Dude, you are so wrong for that Elley. Don’t ever do that to me again,”Chris said as a smile began to come across his face with a look of sheer relief. “Well, we should probably get going,” he said as the buzzer rang though the air, “looks like the game is about to begin. We’ll catch up with you girls later.” And with that the guys ran off to join their other teammates in a great game of basketball.

The girls sat back down and watched as teh guys did their thing to get ready for the game. "Jayne better hurry up and get here soon because they are gonna start before long," Cay said to some of the girls as she turned to search the crowd to see if Jayne had arrived yet.

"Damn them joggin outfits look hot on them guys. Man what I wouldn't give to walk up to them and just peel them right off their bodies," Elley evilly grinned.

"Yeah, i know exactly what you mean. I am having some of those kind of thoughts myself," Kim grinned.

The guys continued to finish up the last minute shots and every once in a while would look over and wave to the girls. Justin was busy showing off making the million dollar shots and making most of them. Lance was doing everything in his power to get the ball in the hoop with his layups. JC and Joey were shooting free throws and Chris was busy talking to other teammates instead of practicing.

The group of girls giggled like teenies when one of the guys would look their way. Cay, Kim and Elley made sure to make a scene and everytime Justin made one of his shots they screamed and yelled. "Like he needs a freakin ego boost," Kim said after they sat back down.

"Yeah, but it is fun," Cay said. Just as the final buzzer rang to signal that the teams needed to report to their benches, Jayne walked up and took her seat. "Well it is about time slow ass," Cay joked with her sister as she pulled her into a half hug. "Is everything ready for dinner tonight?" Cay asked

“Yeah, we’re good to go. Have you seen the guys yet? Have you met Beth?” Jayne began rattling off questions a mile a minute.

“Whoa! Slow down girl! What have you been drinking this morning anyway? Yes, we saw the guys, even though I think you mean have we seen Chris yet. Yes, we met Beth and she’s a sweetie, and no, no one said anything too embarrasing in front of her.” Her sister replied. “However, our dear friend Elley here broke Chris' heart. She told him that you left on the first flight out this morning because of some freak she met last night. Other than that it has been uneventful. The guys have just been busy shooting and stuff," Cay replied as she realized that Jay was staring evilly at Elley.

"You told him what?" Jay asked.

"Aww, I was just playin with gramps, but you should have seen him, he looked heart broken when I told him, so it didn't last long. He laughed right along with me after he figured it out that we were only joking." Elley replied. "And you know they haven't said anything about our jerseys either....damn losers, what does a girl gotta do to get some NSYNC love?" Elley said as she pretended to pout.

As if on cue, JC walked over to the girls with Lance and Joey right behind him. “So, who are you girls going to be cheering for or are you just going to be Justin’s cheering section?”

“Nah, we figured the rest of you could do it on your own. Justin needs the cheering to keep his ego in check,” Kim joked with the guys shooting a playful glance over at Joey.

“Yeah, sure, whatever,” Lance said as he went up to say good morning to Cay and the rest of the girls.

“Good to see you finally made it Jay, I thought we were going to have to scrape Chris up off the floor after what your dear friend Elley here said to him.”

“I’m sorry about that.” Janey replied not quite sure why Chris was so darn upset that she might not be there, “Please tell him I’m fine.”

“Oh, I’m sure he’ll be over here in a second or two to say hi,” he continued, “anyway, we just wanted to say hey to all you girls.”

“Yeah,” JC continued, “and by the way, nice shirts! I can’t believe you all did this. So, El, what does Mastahs stand for?” he turned to ask Elley.

“Wouldn’t you just love to know,” Elley joked with him, “you’ll just have to wait and find out!” with that, the buzzer rang letting the guys know that it was time for them to go and play some basketball.

“See, I told you one of them would notice,” Jayne told her friend.

“Yup, and it was my guy, isn’t he just the best!” Elley joked with her friend.

“Maybe you shoud go over and say something to Chris.” Cay said to her sister when the first half of the game was over. The girls had all enjoyed the game so far and were screaming and yelling through the entire game just having a great time. They were beginning to think that they were the only people there with all the noise that just the 10 of them were making.

“Why? I mean, he’s busy with the game and all, he won’t have time to talk to me!” Jay replied.

“Yeah, okay sure, the boy looked like he lost his dog when I told him you left girl, go and talk to him, let him know you are okay!” Elley replied.

“Fine, fine, fine!” Jay exclaimed and made her way over behind the NSYNC bench so that she could talk to Chris.

“That girl has no clue does she?” Elley asked Cay.

“Are you kidding? She doesn’t have clue one! You are right on it! She’s going to need to be hit over the head with a bunch of bricks before she notices anything at all!”

“Well, here’s hoping that those bricks come soon, I wouldn’t want to see her pass up on something like this. God knows if it was me I’d be all up in there and enjoying every minute of it.” Kim said.

“We’ll have to wait and see,” Cay continued, “I just don’t want to see her get hurt anymore than she has this year.” She finished as she watched her sister walk away to talk with Chris, hoping once again that this guy wasn’t going to hurt her sister.

Chapter 18

Janey nervously walked over to where the five guys of the group were standing around talking. Joey turned and noticed her as she was walking over to them and came running towards Jay at full speed only to stop right in front of her and throw his arms around her in a huge hug. Janey screeched in delight and surprise that she was getting this much attention from one of her favorite members. The rest of the group turned to see what Joey was running for. “Hey guys, what is going on out here?” Jay asked as she walked up with Joey’s arm still resting on her waist. She could feel the eyes of her favorite member upon her and tried not to blush.

“Not too much, how do you like the game so far?” Joey asked.

“You guys are looking good out there. I just came over to say hey and discuss a few things with you guys.” Jay said as she caught Chris’eyes on her. “Hey you, how are you doin today? I see you were too good to come over and say hi earlier when JC, Lance and my main man Joey came over to see me. I am deeply hurt,” she played as Joey laid his head on her shoulder.

Chris smiled broadly and said, “I am doing good but I thought that you caught the first flight out this morning because you met some freak last night, so I really didn’t have any reason to come back over to the group because I was told you skipped town,“ Chris played back. Jay blushed slightly as she turned to shoot an evil stare at her friend Elley. She noticed that all the girls were watching her. Well okay she was standing there talking to the guys of NSYNC so of course they are gonna be watching her¦.duh.

“I can’t believe she told you such a thing. You see I leave them alone for a few hours so that I can fix up a surprise for them and what do they do???” Jay sighed as she rolled her eyes, trying to hide her smile so that she could try and make these guys feel bad for her, but when she looked up at them they were just laughing at her.

“Ungrateful, aren’t they?” Lance joked. Jay shook her head as if she had no idea what she was gonna do with her friends.

“Well, I know that you all are running short on time so I just wanted to stop in and say hey and see about the dinner tonight. You all are still planning on stopping in for dinner right?” Jay asked as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ears, while Chris eyes remained on her.

“Yep, we are supposed to be there around six, is it?“ Lance asked.

Jay shook her head. “That sounds good to me. I really appreciate you guys coming.”

“Aww, girl, there is no need thank us, we should be thanking you. You are giving us food. If anything we are just coming to get our grub on,” Justin smirked.

“Oh so that is how it is there youngin? You are only coming because you get food?” Janey joked.

“Well, it’s only fair. I mean we fed you last night so now it is your turn to feed us,” Chris joined in on the little joke. “And yes Justin she does need to thank us because she gets to be blessed with our great company tonight.”

“Uh huh, I see what you all are getting at¦.that’s okay though, I am sure I can find five other hot guys to come join us for dinner that would be grateful for what us ‘mastahs’ have to offer,” Jay winked at Chris as she tried to look around the court to find some other guys. “See those two over there? I am sure that I could con them into eating dinner in your place and your place,” Jay joked as she pointed to Chris and Justin.

“Girl you know we are just playin with ya. We are more than happy to come and keep you and your girls company. You all are pretty cool and fun as hell to drink, party and dance with,” Lance stated as he slapped JC and Chris’ back and then turned to waved in Cay’s direction. Jay smiled and caught Chris staring at her again. ˜Wonder why he is always watching me” she wondered. “Well I guess I better get going back over to my spot. You all have fun out there and I will see you around six,“ Jay stated as she started to walk away.

“Hey, tell my cheering section that they are slackin off over there,” Justin stated. Jay gave him the thumbs up sign as if saying ˜will do” and walked away.

“Hey, let me walk you over there,” Chris said as he ran up next to her. Jay smiled and said her thanks. “So are you coming out partying with us again tonight?” he asked.

“I don’t know, we haven’t talked about what we are doing tonight. I am sure that the girls wouldn’t mind going out again tonight and getting trashed.”

“Well, last night we had to take a rain check on the tequila shots, so I figured that you could come back out with us tonight and we could cash in that check,” Chris offered. “Are you up for it?”

“Am I up for it? Hmm, let me think on that one, stay home and gossip with the girls about today’s events or go out with you guys and get trashed while doing tequila shots. That’s a hard decision, can I phone a friend?” Jay joked.

“Nope you can’t phone a friend, you have no lifelines left¦.so what’s the answer?” Chris pretended to pout to help influence Jay to come partying with them again tonight.

“Aww, how could I resist a face like that?” Jay gave his cheeks a little pinch. “Yeah, I am sure that we could make time in our oh so busy schedule to go out and have a few drinks with you guys tonight,” Jay winked. She busted up laughing when he did a little happy dance.

“I knew you would give in to the face,“Chris laughed. “We’ll talk details later on after dinner, is that okay with you?”

“Sure,” Jay said as they walked up to the rest of the girls as the final buzzer sounded telling the players that half time was over. “I guess I gotta get going then,” Chris said as he watched Jay turn and sit in her seat. He looked up and waved to the other girls and then his eyes fell back on Janey before he turned to head back out onto the court to finish out the game.

“So, looks like that went well,” Elley said as Janey joined back up with her group of friends.

“Looks like you are getting pretty cozy with our man there Jay,” Rebecca said.

“Oh, its nothing. Hey guys, looks like we all have dates for the evening again. The guys just asked if we all wanted to go out drinking and dancing after the dinner tonight. We could probably hit House of Blues tonight if we can get the security there to be cool about it. Then we can just walk there from dinner at Planet Hollywood. What do you think?” The girls immediately went crazy with excitement knowing that they’d be spending another night with the guys.

Chapter 19

A thousand thoughts went through Janey’s mind as she made her way back to the hotel with the girls after the basketball game. They had all really enjoyed an afternoon of just laughing hysterically at all of the NSYNC guys as well as their friends who had come to play basketball for such a great charity. The night to come would be incredible as well. She could only imagine the expressions on her friends faces when she was to stand up and introduce the guys. They were all going to have their faces fall to the floor.

“Hey Jay, so is everything all set for tonight?” Cay asked her sister as she woke her sister from her thoughts.

“Yeah, I think so. Dinner is good to go, all the invitations were sent and all the replies done. I have the check here in my briefcase so it looks like all is good. I can’t believe its finally here.” The girls continued to talk about the past years events and all that led them up to the point of that evening. Who would have guessed that an evening of chatting with friends online would end up like this. They didn’t even flinch when the driver said that they had returned to the hotel.

“Hi….ummm….Janey, they is Chris. I…uh…..we…..I mean we forgot about this thing we are supposed to do tonight. We’ll still all be at dinner but unfortunatly we have to get going after that. If you want, give me a call and we’ll chat longer or else I’ll just see you tonight. I’m really sorry about busting up plans like this. I must have just totally spaced out. Anyway, I’ll see you tonight at dinner. Oh yeah, my phone number is……” Jay wasn’t surprised at all at the message. She figured that the guys would probably have other things to do this weekend but it was hard to hide the fact that she might be just a touch upset about how plans were turning out. “Well, I’ll talk to you later. Bye!” The familiar beep of the end of the message played as the message light went out on the phone.

“Well, looks like we aren’t going out with the guys tonight.” Jay turned to tell Elley who had followed her up to the suite.

“What do you mean we aren’t going out tonight? I was totally looking forward to this!” Elley said.

“Well, you know, they do have other things to do other than patronise a bunch of girls who just want to go out with them. They have a lot of guests in town this weekend for their charity. I guess they had stuff like that. But Chris gave me his phone number so I could call him and talk if that’s any consolation.” Jay explained, surprised that she was as calm as she was considering this quick turn of events.

“He gave you what?????” Elley exclaimed. “He gave you his phone number! Damn! JC didn’t do that for me!”

“Well, maybe he didn’t know your number or something. I don’t know how to explain it. Anyway, he said I could call him and he’d explain further.” Janey tried to rationalize. “We’ve got to get going anyway, we have a dinner to go to and then us girls are going to have a girls night out like we’ve always wanted to have! So get your ass in gear girl and get ready to go!”

“Okay, fine then, if that’s what you think we should do.” Elley said trying not to sound too discouraged that she wasn’t going to get another night out with JC and secretly hoping that her friend would just call up Chris and get him to invite them all to their charity thing that night.

“Yeah, that’s what I think you should do. Cay and I are going to get going before the rest of you. You remember where to go right?” Jay asked somewhat worried that something was going to go wrong in the evening but not quite sure what it was going to be.

“Um, yeah, I think we can figure it out. 6:00 right?” Elley asked her friend.

“Yup, we’ll see you there. Now go and get ready!” Jay said as she ushered her friends out of the room so that they could all get ready to go. “Well, I have my cell phone so if you need me just give me a call.” Jay sounded like a nervous mother.

“Allright, allright girl, chill out. Go and call Chris or listen to some music. Do something! You are freaking out. Everything is going to go smoothly tonight and we are going to have a great time!” Elley said to her friend trying to calm her nerves.

“I know, I know. I just get a little jumpy. I’m going to go have a drink and get ready. I’ll talk to you later.” And with that Janey closed the door and continued to get ready for her evening.

“So, are you going to call him or what?” Cay asked her sister as they sat by the makeup mirror meticulously applying their makeup for the evening and putting the finishing touches on their hair.

“Who?”

“Dumb ass….you know who. Mr. ‘I’m so cool and cute and I love to send Jay into knots everytime I look at her’” her sister said jokingly.

“I wasn’t planning on it. I’m going to see them later anyway. We’ll talk then. I still can’t figure out why he would even leave his phone number. That seemed a bit odd to me.” Jay said to her sister trying to rationalize everything in her brain. She was a teacher, she did that kind of thing well when trying to rationalize out things that her students and parents would come up with.

“Come on. You know you want to. Just to hear his little voice on the phone.”

“I’m not calling him and that’s it!” Jay said putting her foot down. There was no reason to call Chris when she knew that she was going to see him in two hours anyway. The guy had enough other things to do as they were running between interviews and all the appearances that they had planned for the weekend. “Well, it looks like we are ready to go. What do ya think?” She asked her sister as she turned around in the sleek outfit that she had purchased especially for the evening ahead. It wasn’t too dressy but just perfect for a dinner.

“You look gorgeous. You are going to knock his socks off in that!” Cay said as she watched her sister twirl in her new dress. The dress was fairly simple as dresses come. It was a beautiful shade of blue with silver threads through the dress. The sleeves were made of the same silver color and were just plain thin straps. The dress came right to her knee and fit just beautifully.

“Okay, so that wasn’t quite what I was thinking but okay.” Jay said knowing that her sister meant that she was going to knock Chris’ socks off. Deep down she knew that was what she wanted to do but her mind was too occupied with the speech that she had prepared for the evening. “Well lets make sure we have everything. Purse?”

“Check.”

“Money for later?”

“Check.”

“Lipstick.”

“Check.”

“Money for the guys.”

“Check.”

“Cell Phone?”

“Check. Looks like we’re outta here chica. Lets blow this popsicle stand.”

“Okay, so how long has it been since you said that?” Jay laughed at her sister as she reached for the hotel phone to ask for a cab to meet them.

“Your transportation has already been taken care of ma’am” The receptionist said on the phone.

“Great, we’re on our way.” Jay said into the phone. “We’re outta here girl.” She said to her sister as they turned off the light in the room and headed on out. The girls reached the elevator and headed down to the lobby. Eyes of people everywhere looked at the two girls as they walked from the elevator towards the door.

“Wow, one of the celebrities for the weekend must be here.” Cay said to her sister as they saw a beautiful strech limo sitting out in front of the hotel.

“Yeah, probably.” Jay replied as they reached the door.

“Are you Janey and Caytlyn?” The driver asked.

“Um, yeah, we are.” Cay replied, “may we help you?”

“Well, I was sent here to pick you two up. Planet Hollywood correct?” The girls exchanged puzzled looks on their faces. What the heck was a limo doing there to pick them up? They hadn’t ordered one and they certainly couldn’t pay for one. At the same time the girls looked at each other with a knowing glance and they knew exactly who had sent for the limo.

“Well, thanks, lets go then.” Cay said. “I guess you oughta call him now huh?” she aske her sister.

“You know, I would if I even thought to bring the phone number with me but its sitting up in the room. We’ll just have to thank them when we see them.” And with that the girls settled back into the beautiful limo with a glass of champagne and toasted to a great evening ahead. “Clink!” they both said as they touched glasses and they were on their way.

Chapter 20

The limo pulled up to the front of Planet Hollywood in the familiar area where Janey had spent so many nights while she lived in Florida. A rush of emotions overcame her as she saw the familiar bridge that brought people to Pleasure Island, the movie theater where so many nights she went out with friends as well as others, the Wolfgang Puck Restaurant where they loved to eat and all of the great shopping areas where much of her money was spent while working at Disney. She hadn’t been back since she left in October so unexpectedly to everyone and she wasn’t sure if she was prepared to be in this part of Orlando quite yet.

“Hey ladies! How are you?” a voice said as Beth from WEG approached the two ladies who were walking from the limo. “Looks like the car got you okay? Are you all set for tonight?”

“Hey Beth! Yeah, we were got the limo no problem. Thank you so much for taking care of us so well this weekend! We just can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for us.” Janey said.

“Don’t thank me, thank the guys, this was all their idea! They were just so happy to help you both in anyway they could. Just the pure thought that you would go through all of this trouble for their charity, they wanted to give something back to you.”

“Well, they certainly did and we really appreciate it!” Cay stated the exact words that were going through Janey’s head.

“So, lets head on inside then. Have you seen the place yet?” Janey asked.

“Yup. I got here just a few minutes before you did just to check things out. The guys all went to their respective homes to get themselves all dolled up for tonight after their interviews and such. By the way, they feel really bad about tonight and the benefit they have to do after this one. They were supposed to check with me before they made any plans.”

“Men huh?” Janey joked. “What are ya gonna do with them huh?” The girls all headed inside joking about the guys and Beth gave Janey and Cay a little inside look to the life of NSYNC and how the guys really depended on their assistants to keep them in line most of the time.

“Wow! Check out the big screen!” Cay exclaimed as the girls entered into Planet Hollywood. “Jay, this is just like you described it to me! The girls are all going to love this!” Indeed the large screen in the front of the restaurant was set up with the NSYNC loop that was put together by both Planet Hollywood and WEG just for that evening. Janey had a chance to see it earlier in the day while checking plans with Javier but this was the first that Cay had gotten to see it and Janey couldn’t have been more pleased with her sister’s _expression.

“Hey ladies!” Javier said as he entered into the dining room, “Well, looks like we’re all set. You may want to head on to the entrance if you want to be there to greet your guests as they enter. We have the security all set up and the guys are due to arrive at what time?” he turned to ask Beth.

“They should be here at about 6:30. Give or take a few minutes.”

“Which should be perfect because right now it’s 5:45 and the guests are beginning to arrive. They should all be seated and stuff by 6:30 for the entrance of the guys.” Janey stated.

“Fantastic, well, head to your posts ladies. It looks like your night is about to begin. If you need anything at all remember I’m right here for you all night long. I’ll be walking around making sure that all is well. But just in case, let me give you this radio Janey so that I can be in contact with you.” Jay took the radio, not quite sure where she was going to put it but she felt all official once again, kinda like she did when she was working at Disney.

“Thanks again for everything Javier! We really appreciate everything that Planet Hollywood has done for tonights events. I can’t begin to thank you enough.” Janey stated quite honestly as the girls headed to the entrance of the restaurant to greet their arriving guests.

The arrivals took about 45 minutes, just as planned and everyone seemed to be enjoying the loop video as well as the h’ors dourves that were being passed throughout the dining area. All of their friends arrived from their group and exclaimed with delight when they saw how beautiful both Janey and Caytlyn looked.

“You know, its too bad you aren’t going to see Chris tonight Jay. You just look spectacular!” Mindy said as she entered into the restaurant with Jen close behind.

“You too Cay. I just can’t believe that a few hours ago you girls had on basketball jerseys and shorts. You look just gorgeous now!” Jen added.

“Well, you girls look great too! Go on inside and enjoy yourselves. We’ll be in to mingle around in a bit.” Janey said as she ushered her friends inside and went on to meet up with the other guests. The remainder of the guests continued to arrive as Janey and Caytlyn stood at the door greeting everyone as they came into the building. Neither of the girls could believe all of the guests that had come and paid good money to come to a dinner in support of the guys charity. There was still some good in people’s hearts Janey thought to herself as she greeted each person and thanked them for coming.

By 6:15 everyone had arrived and Janey and Caytlyn took time walking around the room mingling with their friends and the guests of the evening. Janey’s nerves were getting the best of her knowing that in a few minutes she was going to have to get up in front of all of these people and talk to them. She tried to stay as calm as possible as she slowly drank a daquari that her sister had handed her to settle her nerves.

“Janey, come in Janey!” the voice said through the radio that she had been carrying around. Janey continued chatting with Elley and completely forgot that she had been carrying the radio around with her. “Janey, we need you out front immediately!” came the voice again.

“Hey Jay, don’t you think you should answer that?” Elley said to her friend.

“What? What are you talking….Oh yeah, I’ll be right back.” She said as she excused herself from her friends.

“Hey Beth, what’s going on?” Janey asked as she reached the front of the building.

“The guys are here and we’re all set to do their entrance whenever you are.”

“Fantastic. I’ll have Javier kill the music and get everyone situated in their seats.” Janey said taking charge of the event that was in process and feeling a sense of power come over her. She had no problem taking over the room and making sure that everyone was seated immediately so that they could get the show on the road.

“Excuse me, if everyone could please take their seats I think we’re about ready to get started on with our evening.” Janey said into the microphone as she and Caytlyn went to the front of the room. They looked out on the crowd of over 200 people who came out to support the group and were just so excited to see everyone looking so incredible and excited to be there.

“Good evening everyone. For those of you that I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting in person yet, my name is Janey and on behalf of my sister Caytlyn and myself I’d like to welcome you all to the 1st ever NSYNC Over 21 dinner to benefit Challenge for the Children.” Janey began while the room errupted into thunderous applause. Janey couldn’t believe the response that she was getting and could only imagine the noise level in the room when she would announce the band, but for now she had to get through the beginning of her speech. “Last year, when Caytlyn and I came up with the idea one night in a chat room to have a dinner to benefit Challenge we never thought that it would get to this level. There are so many people along the way that we would like to thank for all of their support of this event. First of course we’d like to thank the management and staff here at Planet Hollywood. They have done such an amazing job of supporting our project here to the point that they have decided that this was such a good cause that all of the food, drinks and the use of the facility have been donated to us tonight.” The room once again sent out rings of thunderous applause. “This means…” Janey tried to continue over the noise. “This means that all of the money that you have given for the dinner tonight is going straight to CFTC. Please give another round of applause for the team here at Planet Hollywood. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have been such great friends and supported both Caytlyn and myself as we planned this. We couldn’t have done it without all of you. Thank you!” This was the point where Janey was going to introduce the guys and she was just so excited to have them enter the room.

Janey glanced off to the side and saw the smiling face of her sister and behind the door of the kitchen she saw 5 pairs of eyes peering out waiting for their entrance. But only one pair of eyes really interested her at that moment and they were the eyes of Chris who’s eyes met hers as she continued. If she thought she was nervous before that was nothing as compared to the butterflies that we circling her stomach at that point.

“Challeng for the Children is such and amazing charity and it is due to both WEG Entertainment especially Johnny Wright and of course the guys of NSYNC. Caytlyn and I got a special surprise the other day as we were preparing for our trip to Florida. I received a phone call from Melinda Bell who as many of you know works very closely with NSYNC. I have been talking to Melinda for several months now in preparation for this evening but Melinda called me with a special surprise that day and I’d like to share that with all of you right now. Ladies and Gentlemen, I it gives me great pleasure to introduce to you NSYNC!” The noise level in the room was at an all time high as the 5 members of the group entered into the room through the kitchen behind the stage. Janey was simply glowing with delight as the entire room rose to their feet in appreciation for the guys and for all of the festivities of the evening.

The guys approached the stage one at a time and each of them came up to Janey and Caytlyn and gave them a hug and a kiss on the cheek to thank them for their great work. After they had all reached the stage and the room had quieted down Janey took the microphone once again. “Gentlemen, on behalf of all of us gathered here tonight It gives me great pleasure to present you with this check for $25,000. The proceeds from the dinner tonight, made out to Challenge for the Children in great appreciation for all the great work you do for children as well as a thank you from all of us for making our lives a little brighter for you being in it.” A standing ovation took over the room as everyone showed their appreciation for the guys as well as for Janey and Caytlyn who had worked so hard to make the night such an amazing success.

“On behalf of all of us, we’d like to say a special thank you to these two beautiful ladies who put together this evening. Janey and Caytlyn, no one has ever done something as special for us as the two of you have. To bring together all of these people was such an un-selfish act and we truly appreciate all that you have done for us.” Lance began as he flashed a special smile in the direction of Cay who seemed to be melting to the floor at that very instant. “This is one of the largest donations that we have ever received from an group of people and we are just so honored that you have decided to spend all of your hard work and time and effort on this project. So thank you, from each one of us.” The guys all gathered around the girls so that they could have one last hug before dinner began and to thank them again for the gift that they had given them.

“Thank you all again for coming out tonight and I hope you all enjoy your dinner.” Janey concluded and breathed a sigh of relief as everyone sat down to enjoy the rest of the evening.

Chapter 21

Janey turned to her sister Caytlyn, “I can’t believe this part is almost all over!” she said unable to fathom the fact that the speech, the part of the evening she was most concerned about, was finished. Now she would just be able to enjoy the rest of the weekend. At that same moment the rest of their friends began to surround them.

“You were awesome Janey!” Elley said to her friend as she came up to give her a big hug. “I can’t believe how much money you guys raised. And how long have you known that the guys were going to be here tonight? Sheesh, you two ar ejust full of surprises aren’t you?”

“Yeah, no kidding,” Kim added, “You got anything else up your sleeve? Something like backstage passes and VIP seating for the concert tomorrow?” they continued to joke.

“I wish I did! Maybe you should go and shmooze with your boys over there. They might just be able to hook y’all up with that kind of stuff!” Janey said motioning to Joey and JC who seemed to be looking on and wanting to talk to the girls. With that, elley and Kim took off to go and talk with the guys. Other people kept coming up to Janey and Caytlyn to congratulate them but Cay was so involved with talking with Lance about some of his projects outside of NSYNC and he was so interested in finding out more about here that they didn’t even notice all the people walking around and trying to talk to them. Janey was dealing with all of the people in the room while still scanning it to try and find Chris who she had yet to talk to.

“Ain’t no lie…bye bye bye…” Lance began to sing the familiar tune completely out of the blue.

“What the heck are you talking about Lance?” Cay asked wondering why in the world, in the middle of a conversation, that Lance would break into song. That was something for Chris or Joey to do, but not Lance.

“The phone…don’t you hear it? Its playing our song!” Lance said as he tried to figure out where the noise was coming from.

“Oh my god! That must be Janeys’ phone. Hang on a second Lance let me find…oh wait…looks like she found it!” Caytlyn continued as she saw her sister pick up the phone. Lance and Cay immediately went back into conversation as Janey went and picked up the phone.

“Hello? This is Janey how may I help you?” Janeys screamed into the phone trying to talk over the music and noise.

“Jay? Hey girl…its me!” the voice said to her. Janey thought that the voice sounded familiar but it didn’t come up with a phone number on her caller ID and she could barely hear the person.

“I’m sorry you’ll have to speak up louder. I can’t…hang on a second.” Janey franticly searched the room for a quiet corner so that she could talk on the phone. “I’m sorry, I’m in the middle of an event. How can I help you?” Janey continued after she found a quiet corner where she could hear.

“Jay…its Joe….what’s going on girl? I hear you are in town.” Jay knew the voice sounded familiar. It was the voice of her ex-fiance, someone that she really didn’t want to talk to , and the reason for her apprehensions in Florida. She felt her knees buckle and chills start throughout her entire body. It was an all too familiar feeling. Ever since breaking up with Joe a year and a half previous, everytime she heard his voice that was what happened to her. When she was in court getting the restraining order it was all she could do to stand and keep from throwing up. This was not what she needed that night and she despiratly searched the room for someone to come over and talk to her so that she could get off the phone. But seeing as everyone had settled in for eating dinner she didn’t see anyone even remotly nearby so all she could do was try and tolerate this and hope that it would be short and sweet.

“Oh, ummmm, how did you find me here?” she stammered not really knowing what to say.

“One of my buddies was at Tabu last night and said that you were out there hanging out with some boyband shit. So, going for the younger men these days huh?” Joe said in a kaniving voice.

“Well, I guess, it was kind of strange but we’re hanging out with them right now. Listen Joe, you know you aren’t supposed to be contacting me at all. That’s what a restraining order is for. Now, I’ve got to go. Bye.” And she hung up the phone hoping that he wouldn’t be calling back but not knowing what to do if he did. Janey took a few deep breaths as she hung up the phone and tried to compose herself. She knew that the girls would be wondering where she was, Cay especially would want to talk to her as soon as she saw her sisters face but that would all have to wait until later, she just wanted to try and have fun.

Janey approached the tables and finally caught her first glimpse of Chris for the evening. He looked just amazing and as she walked closer to the table noticed that the only space at the table was between Cay and Chris. ‘This should make for an interesting meal’ she thought to herself knowing full well that her sister was going to give her twenty questions when she saw her flushed face.

“Where the heck have you been girl? We’ve been waiting for you.” Her sister questioned as she reached the table to find Chris standing up holding her chair out for her as the perfect gentleman. She turned to Chris and gave him a look to say thank you as she started to answer her sister.

“You don’t want to know who that was,” Janey said to her sister. That was all she had to say for Cay knew immediately who was on the phone.

“What the hell did he want? And how the hell did he know you were here huh?” Cay asked getting angier by the second.

“I have absolutly no clue. I didn’t even let him talk really. He said that one of his buddies saw me last night at Tabu dancing with some ‘boyband guy’ and wanted to know what the deal was. I said it was none of his damn business and that he can’t just call me because of the restraining order.” The girls continued their conversation, completely oblivious to the fact that sitting next to Janey was Chris and he was listening to the entire conversation while carrying on conversations with his other bandmates around the table as well as the other girls.

“So that’s why she’s been so scared,” Chris thought to himself, “she’s been hurt before and doesn’t want to be hurt again.” Chris knew all along that there was something that must have happened in the past for Janey not to notice the obvious feelings that he had for her the moment that he first laid eyes on her, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. He vowed to do everything in his power to show her that he was for real and wasn’t going to hurt her.

“Ain’t no lie….bye bye bye…” the familiar ring came on again as Janey jumped what seemed like 15 feet in the air. She went to grab for her phone when Chris said, “Here, let me get that for you.” And he picked up her phone. Once again the caller ID said unavailable so he wasn’t quite sure who was on the phone but he hoped for the same person who called before just so he could tell him off.

“Janey’s answering service how may I help you today,” Chris joked into the phone.

“Who the hell is this?” Joe replied.

“This is Janey’s new personal assistant and who the hell is this,” Chris said getting upset and knowing full well that this was the person who Janey was trying to avoid.

“Well, this is her fiance and I want to talk to her now!” he demanded.

“Don’t you mean ex-fiance jerk? Listen, haven’t you done enough to this poor girl tonight. She’s out with her new guy right now and has no desire to talk to you. Don’t ever call again or else we’ll send our body guards after ya to take care of you. Got it?” Chris said into the phone in a tone that Janey was absolutly shocked to hear out of him.

“Wait, are you one of those boyband guys that she was hanging out with last night?”

“Yeah, as a matter of fact I am. If you know what’s good for you, you will find someone else to bother tonight.” And with that he hung up the phone. Janey sat there with her mouth dropped to the floor not really knowing what to say although knowing that all she really wanted to do was go up to Chris and give him the biggest hug and kiss that has ever been but she settled for a hug and a quick kiss to show her appreciation.

“Thank you so much for that Chris. I can’t begin to tell you how much that meant to me to get that jerk off of the phone!” Janey said as she hugged Chris. She didn’t seem to care that every set of eyes in the room at that moment was right on the two of them. “So, can Mike and Lonnie really go and beat that bastard up or what?” she questioned jokingly.

“Well, I’m not so sure about that but my guess is that if he gets one look at the two of them he’ll run with his tail between his legs so fast that he won’t know what happened to him.” He joked back and tried very hard to calm her nerves. He knew that joking with her would help considerably so the two of them sat through the rest of the meal cracking jokes. Chris didn’t know how or when but somehow he was going to prove to Janey that he was the one for her and that all would be fine as long as he was around.

“Hey listen, I haven’t gotten to thank you personally yet for all that you and Cay have done. I am really in awe as to the two of you. Is there anything you can’t do?” Chris asked.

“Well, I’m sure there is a lot that we can’t do. Lets see, I can’t get into the Boston Pops as hard as I’ve tried. Cay can’t keep her big trap shut worth a damn, but other than that, we’re perfect.” Jay said jokingly.

“You sure are, I mean, yeah..” Chris said stammering to get his words out. Jay just smiled on knowing that he didn’t mean to let that out of his mouth but glad that he had said it anyway.

“But you on the other hand. What are we going to do with you? Not talking to your scheduler and asking girls out when you can’t take them out? What’s up with that huh?” Janey joked finally starting to relax.

“I was going to appologize for that. I’m so sorry. We were supposed to check with Beth before we made any plans. I guess I was just so excited about it that I wanted to hang out with all of you again. I mean, we all did, we had such a blast last night.”

“Don’t worry about it seriously. My girls and I are all going to hang out at Pleasure Island. I have some friends in the Comedy show tonight so we’re going to go and check that out then back to the hotel for some drinks and stuff before we crash for the night. We all want to be nice and rested for the concert and stuff tomorrow.”

“Oh, you are going to a concert tomorrow? Who are you seeing?” he joked.

“Yeah, we’re going to see LFO! Wanna come?” she joked right back as the two fell into their favorite game of completely joking along with each other.

“LFO? They suck! You should go and see Backstreet Boys, I hear that they live around here too!”

“Oh yeah? We’ll have to go and stalk them or something.” She smiled at Chris and looked deep into his dark brown eyes and just the look made her all flustered. “Seriously, of course we are going to the concert tomorrow. We have soundcheck passes and tickets to the show of course. We weren’t going to come all this way and not see a concert! I think we might try and hit a park for a little bit in the morning too.”

“That sounds great! So where are your seats?” he asked knowing full well that he was going to change whatever seats they had so that they would have perfect seats for the concerts. “I know some guys in the band, they can probably get you some pretty good ones.”

“Really? That would be so cool! You’ll have to tell Justin that I think he’s hot okay?” Janey smiled at Chris. “I think our seats are like row 20 or something. Not great but we couldn’t get the seats we really wanted.”

“Well, don’t worry about that. We’ll have it all taken care of. Beth has your number right?”

“yeah she does, why?” Janey asked.

“Well, I’ll have her call you tomorrow with all the details of where and when and how to get your tickets. She’ll call you sometime before soundcheck okay?”

“Chris, you really don’t have to do this. You guys have done so much already,” Janey pleaded knowing that Chris had done more than he even had a clue that he had done by telling off Joe on the phone.

“I know I don’t have to, but I want to, I want you to have a perfect view of the stage and all, you deserve it.” He replied looking deep into her eyes. Had there not been 500 other people in the room the moment would have been perfect for him to lean down and kiss her but he knew better and thought that if he did that now in front of everyone, they’d be on the front page of the Orlando Sentinal in the morning. The moment went unfufilled as Chris turned to her again and held her hands in his, “Listen, we’ve got to get going but I’ll give you a call tomorrow okay?”

“Sure, no problem. You guys have a blast tonight and I’ll see you at soundcheck tomorrow.” Janey said as she looked up at him. She couldn’t believe that she was falling so fast for someone who a week before was just a picture on her wall.

Lance was gathering the guys together to say goodnight to the girls and each of the girls got a minute to say goodbye and goodnight to their favorite band member and the guys were off to enjoy their evening of being celebrities once again and the girls headed to Pleasure Island for a night of drinking, dancing and laughing and just being girls together.

Chapter 22

After the final guests had left the restaurant and Janey and Cay said goodbye to Javier and thanked him again for all of his help in the evening the girls headed out and were on their way for "Girls night at Pleasure Island". They couldn't wait to really start drinking and partying with just the girls. Everyone had been buzzing about all evening long about Cay and Lance, JC and Elley, Kim and Joey and of course Janey and Chris. Although the other girls were a bit envious of the luck that their friends had they couldn't have been any happier than to see their friends smiling away on the arms of NSYNC members. Heck, if it couldn't be them, it may as well be their friends, was the thought that went through many of their minds.

"So hey Janey," Rebecca called from the other end of the room as she approached her friend. "Is he an incredible kisser or what?" she wanted all the details about Chris and wasn't about to stop at just seeing what was going on, she wanted to know first hand.

"I couldn't really tell ya," Janey answered honestly, "all I've done really is peck him on the cheek that's about it. He gives one of the best hugs I've ever had in my life though I tell ya,” she continued.

"No way girl," Kim chimed in, "Joey gives the best hugs in the world. Chubby Joey bear hugs ROCK!" Kim exclaimed so excited about the attention that she had been getting from her favorite guy the past 24 hours.

"So hey Kim, have you shown him the picture of your baby yet?" Cay joked, knowing that the baby wasn't really Kim's but the joke between the girls was that Joey was Kim's "baby daddy".

"Nah, figured I'd spring that one on him later." she joked with her friends. The girls all headed on out of Planet Hollywood and approached the ticket counter to get their tickets into Pleasure Island for the evening as they all continued to talk incessantly about the guys and finding out as much personal information as they could about them from the girls who seemed to be getting to know them better and better.

The girls hit every club that Pleasure Island had to offer. Janey bumped into friends of hers from Florida, as it was Thursday night, Disney Cast Member night at Pleasure Island. She showed her friends all the clubs and introduced them to some of the bartenders. They went from club to club and had drinks galore, some of which they didn't even have to pay for because of the connections Janey had all over the island. Their favorite club by far had to be the Comedy Warehouse. When the performers ever got up on stage the girls started hooting and hollering for them to do different things on the stage. Janey's favorite part was coming up where they would take suggestions from the audience. The girls kept shouting out different NSYNC things for the performers to do and they actually did a skit that was all about NSYNC. The girls all loved it and the performers got a kick out of the small group of girls who made more noise than anyone else in the club that night.

"Can you all please come every night?" one of the performers said as he approached the table where they were all sitting.

"Oh, I wish," Elley replied, "You guys rock!"

"Thanks so much for putting up with all of us, we really enjoyed it," Janey added, "I don't remember ever laughing so much in my life!"

“Well I am glad that we could keep you smiling. We really enjoyed your enthusiastic hoots and hollers. You girls’ rock! By the way my name is Jason and this here is my sidekick Jayden,” he said as he pointed over his shoulder to the tall, handsome stranger that stood behind him. The girls and the two men sat around and chatted for a while and had a few drinks while the guys waited for their friends to arrive. “Hey listen, Jason and I and a few of our other friends are gonna head over to Mannequins. Would you lovely ladies like to join us?” Jayden asked.

“Well, um, can you give us a minute to talk amongst ourselves because this was just gonna be a girls night out and I want to make sure that all the girls are agreed on this?” Jay asked.

“Sure, take your time. We will be out front, just let us know what you decide,” Jayden said as him and the other guys turned to head towards the door.

“Okay so do you all want to go? I mean it isn’t like we have to go with them if someone is uncomfortable going or if you want to keep it just us girls. We can hang around here and just drink. It is still early and there is still a lot more that we can do,” Jay said. The girls all came to a decision that if they couldn’t party with the NSYNC boys then they could go out and have a good time with some other hotties. “We might have a better chance in getting their numbers and stuff than we do with the NSYNC guys,” Jen joked.

“Well for some of us it would be easier,” Robin said as she eyed the four girls who had been getting the full and undivided attention of four fifths of NSYNC.

“I don’t know what the hell you girls are talking about. We have only gotten a freakin’ hug from them. I mean I am sure that we have all given them a peck on the cheek but it isn’t like we have their number…..” Elley stopped mid sentence and turned to Jay. “Let me correct myself, most of us haven’t gotten their numbers.” Elley grinned while giving Jay the evil eye.

“I know you aren’t even gonna go there skank hoe.” Jay joked. “You know for as much as we have had to drink so far I am really surprised that you can even remember that shit.”

“Oh don’t worry…even as a drunk bitch I remember everything,” Elley joked back. “I guess we better get going and get out there with them hotties or they are gonna leave without us.”

“Yeah you are right, El,” Jen said. “I call dibs on Jayden.”

“Well, screw you, I get dibs on Jason,” Chele proclaimed. “That boy looks a lot like a cross between Justin and Lance.”

“Mmmm, lamb loaf,” Kim said. The girls all busted out in laughter at their little inside joke of having a Justin and Lance threesome, as they started walking towards the front of the comedy club. “Well, it is good to see that you girls decided to join us. We thought maybe you ran out the back door,” Jayden joked. “Shall we get going?” he asked as he held his arm out for Jen. The rest of the guys followed suit and offered their arms to whichever girl was willing to accept it. The group started their way down to the over 21-dance club. They were all itching to get on the dance floor and get some more drinking in.

“Hey maybe we can do those shots that we were supposed to do last night but kind of forgot about,” Jay mentioned to the group.

“Oh yeah, we definitely have to do some shots together. We have to toast to the HH Grab Mastahs,” Cay stated.

“Yeah and we have to toast to you and Jay for everything that you girls have done for us,” Elley informed them.

“It’s a deal. When we get in here, we are going straight to the bar and getting our shots on before we even think about hitting the dance floor.” Cay stated as they walked up in front of the club. The group had to wait for a few minutes before they were all allowed into the club. All the girls walked in with their ‘dates’ and walked straight up to the bar to order a round of shots.

“Let the night of the drunken Helping Hand shots begin,” Jen toasted to the group of girls as she raised her shot glass filled with amber liquid. “And let there be some fine ass men up in here that know how to grind it out on the dance floor,” Elley added. The girls all agreed that they needed to find some good dancers to grind with on the dance floor and clinked their shot glasses together as they all took their first shots of the night.

The bartender lined up another round of shots. Each of the girls took their shot. “This shot is for Jay and Cay and for everything that they have done for us. We owe you big time and we appreciate and thank you for hooking us up….some of us got hooked up more than others but had it not been for these two then we may have not even seen the boys let alone got the privilege of chatting with them,” Amy toasted to the two women who were solely responsible for their weekend of dreams. The group toasted and took the shot. The girls started to scatter onto the dance floor as their new friends from the comedy club asked them to dance. Jay, Cay, Kim and Elley stayed at the bar to do a few more shots together. “I would like to send a toast out to us,” Elley started. “May we find some good dance partners to replace the ones that we had last night.” The girls all smiled as they remembered who their dance partners were from the night before. They downed their shots and headed out to the dance floor in search of the rest of the girls and guys that they came with. They had no idea how lucky they were going to be in finding a dance partner to replace the one from the previous night.

Chapter 23

The girls continued dancing through a few songs before they all decided that they needed a break and they headed for the bar. A shot and a foo foo drink later they were all hard at it back on the dance floor. Jay had this weird feeling that someone was staring at her all night long, but she couldn’t find the eyes that she felt on her. “Hey girl, let’s go back to the bar,” Cay said as her and Elley grabbed her arm and took her to the bar. “Girl what’s the matter? You got this weird look on your face all of the sudden. I mean I know that you dance partner out there isn’t nearly as hot or as good at dancing as Chris was last night but you have to work with what you have there,” Elley joked.

“I just have this weird feeling that someone is watching me. I can’t really explain it but you know how you can feel when someone is staring at you? That is how I feel right now,” Jay said as she ordered another mixed drink.

“Yeah, I know what you are saying because I had that feeling earlier, but I got over it when the music hit me. You want to know what is weird? You can tell that we aren’t letting loose like we want to because we are a little upset that we aren’t drinking with them again,” Elley continued. “You can tell because last night both of your faces were like shining so damn bright, you almost had to have sunglasses on to look at you. They spoiled us the first damn night….bastards,” she joked. The girls knew what Elley was saying. They stayed at the bar for a few more minutes before the music blared out the up tempo song of “Dance With Me (remix)” by 112 and Beanie Sigel. They all rushed out on the dance floor to find their partners for the evening but couldn’t find them so the three girls just danced together.

“I can see you over there, Just chilling with your girlfriends, Can't believe you're by yourself, You should be here with me, Chilling with me, drinking with me, Freakin' with me,” a familiar voice sang along to the song into Janey’s ear as he placed his hands on her hip and pulled back against him to dance with him. She stopped dancing as she tried to place the voice that sounded so familiar. She turned around to face the man behind the voice and her mouth dropped open, as she was surprised to see that the voice…the one that was so familiar to her belonged to none other than Chris. A blush crept up to her cheeks as she realized how she must look to him, but he just stood there with this big grin on his face. “Are you gonna stand there or are you gonna dance with me?” he asked.

Jay smiled, “I am sorry I am just a little shock to see you. I thought you were gonna be out and about with the charity work and everything that I didn’t expect to see you here. Please forgive my moment of shock.”

”Hey no problem, if you don’t want to dance with me, then I am sure that you can go find your little man friend that you came in here with to dance with you….it is really no big deal,” he joked with her. Jay knew she felt someone’s eyes on her and she finally knew who they belonged to. “No, I think I will dance with you for right now,” she winked at him. Jay and Chris continued dancing through the rest of the song. “How about those shots that we had to take a rain check on,” Chris offered.

“Sure, but first I have to get Elley and Cay because we have to do our shots together…it’s the HH pact,” Jay said as she turned around to find that Cay and Elley were making their way towards her with a look of surprise written on their faces. Jay realized that Lance and JC were right behind the two girls and then she knew the meaning behind the look. “Hey, Chris, fancy meeting you here,” Elley joked as she patted Jay’s back and went over to give Chris a little hug. The group of six made their way to the bar to get some drinks flowing through their bodies. At the bar they met up with Kim, and sure enough attached to her hip was Joey. “Hey guys,” Kim greeted them with a huge smile. The group ordered a round of Tequila Rose shots.

“I want to make a toast,” Chris said. “ I want to toast to a night filled of fun, drinks and dancing with the four most beautiful women in the club.” The four girls blushed as Chris lifted his drink and the rest of the group followed his lead. “So who were the guys that you girls showed up here with tonight,” Lance asked as they waited for the next round of shots to be poured.

“Oh those were some of the performers from the comedy club that we went to earlier. We were the best audience that they ever performed for and so after their show they asked us if we would like to come here and since we didn’t have any other offers, we decided we would accompany them,” Cay informed the group of guys. “But they don’t even compare to the company that we have right now,” Elley added with a wink to JC. “I want to do the toast next,” Elley stated as she picked up her shot. “This one is for you four guys….I want to thank you guys for everything that you have done for us thus far, and for the absolute best time that any of us four ladies have ever had. I would also like to thank you for bringing our group of girls together because without NSYNC none of us girls would have ever met. So thank you.” The four girls had a group hug because what Elley said was the truth. “Okay enough sentimental Elley, let the Helping Hands prevail in full force tonight,” Elley finished with a wink to the other girls. A wink that the other three knew the meaning of but one that left Chris, JC, Lance, and Joey a little confused.

“Dare I ask what the Helping Hands means?” Chris asked turning to Jay.

“No you are probably better off not knowing but maybe you will get the pleasure of experiencing what the HH group really stands for,” Elley winked at Chris as she turned to JC to see if he wanted to hit the dance floor. The rest of the group headed out to the floor as well. Periodically throughout the rest of the night, the four couples headed to the bar for more drinks and shots.

Many drinks later and lots of songs later, the four couples were standing at the bar ordering up another round of shots. “How many shots have we done?” Cay asked.

“Not enough if you can still stand and talk at the same time,” Kim joked. “ I was thinking that it was time to do a body shot, any takers?”

“I’m in,” Joey stated. “But only if I get to do one off of you.” He didn’t even wait for the answer before his tongue landed on Kim’s neck and he licked a spot off and sprinkled salt on it. The girls watched on as Kim swayed a little before catching her balance against the bar. He placed the shot in the proper place as well as the lime. The other six stood and watched as this all took place in front of them. The three girls knew that Kim was fighting back the urge to just throw him down on the bar and rape him.

“Well, how was that Kimmy dear,” Elley asked with a sly look on her face. Kim turned to her with a flushed look on her face and just smiled this dreamy smile.

“Um, yeah that was definitely good, can we do it again?” she asked Joey. “But this time I want to do one off you.” Once again the six stood there and watched Kim do the body shot off of Joey. “Okay, who’s next?” Kim turned to the other six with a satisfied look on her face.

“I got this,” JC proclaimed as he picked up the salt. He turned to Elley and proceeded to lick her neck to place the salt. Elley looked at Jay with this ‘oh my god he just licked my neck and I creamed my pants’ look and Jay could only imagine what her friend was feeling. JC continued to place the lime in El’s mouth and proceeded with his body shot off Elley. He reached for the lime and Jay felt Elley grab her arm for support because her knees were gonna give out on her and she didn’t want to fall flat on her face when JC’s lips were that close to her own.. After that body shot, Elley did hers off of JC. “Okay next…” Elley stated as she leaned backwards into JC’s arms for support from her weakened knees.

“Alright I will do it,” Jay stated. She was a nervous wreck. She so badly wanted to do this to Chris for so long that she was having a hard time believing that she was about to do it. Jay tilted Chris’ head to have access to his neck, licked his neck and then sprinkled the salt on there. She placed the lime in his mouth and proceeded with the routine that she had done so many times earlier. Lick the salt, down the shot, fetch the lime…..Jay’s head was floating after coming that close to those lips that she longed to kiss. Now she knew what Elley and Kim had been feeling. Chris was next to do the shot off her. When his tongue found her neck, she was sure she was gonna faint right there, but was amazed to find that she made it through just fine. He placed the lime in her mouth and did the same procedure that the rest of the group had done. When he took the lime from her mouth, Jay grabbed the bar to steady herself because Chris’ lips actually touched hers. Her head was spinning and it took her a minute to recover from that experience. She looked over at Elley, who was still in JC’s arms and had this ‘I told you so’ look on her face. “Your turn guys,” Chris said as he handed the salt to Lance and pulled Jay into him to rest his chin on her shoulder.

“Do you have your inhaler Cay,” Chris whispered to her in her ear. Cay blushed slightly as she went to slap Chris. “Ow!”

“You deserve that one,” Cay smiled. She looked over to Jay for help but she knew it was useless because her sister was sitting there in pure paradise. Lance turned her to face him so that he could do his shot. His tongue on her neck almost sent Cay into hyperventilation but she controlled herself well. Lance proceeded with his shot and when he went to take the lime out of her mouth, she was sure she was gonna pass out and die, which would have been fine by her because her dream had come true. Cay turned to Kim to give her ‘this is paradise’ look. Cay then turned to Lance and proceeded to repeat what he just did to her. Her lips brushed past his as she fetched her lime from his mouth. Cay had to fight in internal battle with herself to just reach behind him and grab on to his spiked hair and pull him to her for a kiss that she was wanting so damn badly. Maybe she should just reach down and grab onto that Bass Ass instead, but that thought was quickly swept away as they made their way back out onto the dance floor.

The girls danced the rest of the night away in a drunken paradise with their favorite members. Finally the last call for alcohol rang out as they made their way back to the bar for one last shot together. “I get to make this toast,” JC stated. “This is for us eight. To a night that was filled with lots of grinding, lots of shots, and the best tasting women that this place has to offer,” JC joked. The others started laughing as they grabbed their shots, “I can second that…to the best tasting men that this business has to offer,” Elley joked right back. “I, third that motion then, but I think I have you all beat. I got the best tasting,” Chris proclaimed. “I would disagree with you. I believe I got the best tasting one,” Lance stated with a wink to Cay. “Aw, you all are full of shit, everyone knows that Joey got the best tasting one,” Kim joked right along with them. “Well, I think the only way that we are gonna get to an end of this conversation is if we go around licking each other’s neck,” Joey proclaimed. “I for one, am willing to sacrifice my taste buds in that taste test,” he continued to joke. “Alright, hold on a second, there is no way that I can go through that. My knees and my heart barely made it through JC’s tongue on my neck, there is no way I can make it through three more of you guys,” Elley proclaimed. “Yeah I totally agree with Elley on this one, I can’t make it through all four of you guys,” Jay joked. “Let’s just toast to another night of fun that we got to share together.” And with that said the group downed their last shot for the night, just in time to hear the last song of the night being announced.

“And this ladies and gentlemen is the last song of the night,” the DJ announced as “U Got It Bad,” by Usher began. The four couples interlocked hands and walked out on the dance floor to dance their one last song together….for this night anyways.

The group of girls said their goodbyes to the group. Jay, Cay, Kim and Elley took a little longer to say their good byes. The four girls walked out hand in hand with the guys to their car that waited for them behind the club. Cay and Lance were off to the side in an unending hug, as was Joey and Kim. Elley and JC were busy talking about something, and Chris and Jay stood there hand in hand. “Thank you yet another unforgettable night,” Jay said to Chris as she squeezed his hand.

”The pleasure was all mine,” Chris stated as he pulled her into him for a hug, but surprised Jay by giving her a kiss on her forehead before pulling her into his embrace. She took that time to inhale his scent, a scent that she knew was going to be forever embedded in her mind. As he let go of her his lips brushed her cheek as he loosened his grip on her. “So we will see you tomorrow right?” Chris asked as he reached for her hand again.

”Yes we will be at the concert tomorrow,” Jay smiled as he squeezed her hand. He brought her hand up to his lips and placed a kiss on her hand. Jay’s heart melted for the hundredth time that night. The four members slowly filed in the car as they didn’t want the night to end just yet. The girls watched the car pull away, leaving them alone with each other.

The ride back to the hotel was a very quiet one, but they all knew that it was a good silence. They were replaying the night’s events in their mind and remembering the body shots. The ride home was a short one and the four girls filed in the hotel and into the elevators pushing their floor buttons.

“THEY JUST LICKED OUR NECKS!!!” Elley jumped up and down in the elevator after it closed. The other three girls squealed as they all joined hands and danced around in a circle in the small elevator. “Okay I just had to get that out because I have been holding that in for like an hour now. I am better and I am going to bed,” Elley announced as the elevator stopped at her floor. The rest of the girls headed to their rooms to get some much-needed sleep and to prepare themselves for the events that were still to come.

Chapter 24

Jay was awakened by the sound of the phone ringing in her ear. ‘Who the hell can that be at this hour?’ she thought, but when she looked up at the clock and it read 10:30am, she jumped out of bed fearing that she was late for something. “Hello?” Jay said as she picked up the phone.

“Hey Janey, this is Beth. Did I wake you? I am sorry,” Beth apologized.

“No, well yeah, you did wake me but it’s okay because I needed to get up anyways. I had no idea it was so late.”

“I know you had a late night last night. I have already saw and talked to the guys this morning and they looked like shit.” Beth joked.

“I highly doubt those boys can look that bad,” Jay joked back.

“Did you have a good time last night? They were really pretty excited when they told me what they did last night. I got four kisses on the cheek because I let them leave from the charity event early and let them go out and party last night.”

“Yeah we had a great time. It was a blast.” Jay smiled as the thoughts from last night came back into mind.

“Well, I am assuming so, I don’t know how many times I heard the name Jay, Cay, Kim and Elley run through their mouths. It was weird to have them so energetic this morning. You could tell they were tired but they were still on an energy high from last night.” Jay smiled at mention of her name. “Anyways, I know that you don’t want to talk personal stuff with me,” Beth continued. “I just called to see what time you guys were planning on coming to the arena for the concert. You guys do have backstage passes right?”

“Actually we don’t have backstage passes. We have our tickets to the show as well as passes for sound check but we didn’t get the privilege of getting backstage passes.” Janey explained

“Are you serious? Oh my, well, we‘ll make sure that you have those. Oh, and Chris mentioned to me where your seats were for the concert. We‘re going to take care of upgrading those as well. So all you really need to bring is yourselves, your sound check passes and anything that you will need for the rest of the day.. We have a lunch thing that we have to do at one, would you guys like to come and attend that with us? It is just a catered lunch for the crew and the boys and a few invited guests, and I am assuming after last night and the wonderful time that they had with you girls, they wouldn’t mind me inviting you.”

“Yeah, we can do that. Oh my gosh, I’m really excited. Thank you so much Beth for taking care of us. The girls are all going to be just thrilled!. I just have to call the girls and have them get up and get ready but we can be at the venue around 12:30p. Is that okay?”

“Yeah that is perfect. I will meet you at Gate C and take you in. Just don‘t forget to bring anything you‘ll need for the day and your sound check passes and you‘ll be all set.” Beth informed Jay.

“Okay, will do. I will see you at 12:30. Thanks a lot Beth,” Jay smiled into the phone. They said their goodbyes and Jay fell back on the bed with a sigh. She lay there for a while and went over the things that they have done so far this weekend. She decided that she needed a shower before she set out on the task of waking up the other girls and informing them of the latest breakthrough in their NSYNC weekend.

“Cay, hey sleepy head wake up!” Janey said to her sister as she got out of the shower and started to get ready for the day. Her sister was lying in the bed in a dream-induced sleep. She’s probably thinking about Lance, she thought seeing as Janey’s dreams had been filled with Chris and the evening that they just experienced.

“What? What time is it?” a very sleepy Caytlyn replied.

“It’s almost 11:00 and we have to get our butts out of here by 12:00 so you need to get your ass out of bed.”

“You have got to be kidding me! What the heck do we have to be at the stadium by 12:00 for? Sound check isn’t until 3:30 and I’m not going to stand in the heat all day long!” Cay replied finally waking up.

“Well, that’s fine, I’ll just tell Beth to give your backstage passes and lunch invitation to someone else. Don’t you worry about it.” Janey joked with her sister as Cay jumped out of bed finally awake.

“Are you kidding me!” Cay exclaimed.

“Not at all, now go and get ready and I’ll explain everything when the girls all get here. Cay jumped into the shower after grabbing a quick cup of coffee, which her sister had made earlier and Janey sat by the phone to call all of their friends.

“Good morning!” Janey said into the phone.

“You have got to be kidding me girl. What the hell are you so chipper about?” Kim replied.

“Well, you will be chipper too when you get the hell up to my room. You have to be here by 11:45 with all your shit for the day.” Janey explained.

“Alright fine, let me grab some coffee and wake up the other girls and we’ll be up there. This had best be good Jay, you woke me up from a naughty Joey dream!”

“I’m sure when you get here you’ll understand.” Janey said and she hung up the phone to call and wake the rest of the girls.

Thirty minutes later there was a knock at the door and all of the girls were standing outside decked out for the day with all of their stuff for the concert and sound check and ready to go and waiting to find out what the heck was going on. Janey and Cay invited them all in, passed out cups of coffee as just about everyone was feeling the effects of the previous evening, and explained the phone call that Janey got that morning.

“So we have to get to the venue like now. There are cabs waiting to take us all over there. Does everyone have their shirts and stuff for the show?” Janey asked sounding like the teacher that she was. The group gave a collective nod and they were all headed out the door.

Just as the final people were leaving the phone rang and Janey ran to go and answer it. “Hello, this is Janey” she said into the phone.

“Good morning beautiful. How are you?” the voice on the other end said. Janey knew it was Chris but she figured she’d have a little fun with him.

“Joey, its so good to hear your voice. I’m doing good. How are you this morning?” Janey replied coyly.

“Oh so you think this is Joey huh?” Chris replied knowing that Janey knew exactly who it was.

“Sorry, just had to joke with you. I’m doing good, how are you fairing after last night?” Janey asked.

“Ugh, well, it was tough waking up this morning but I’m doing okay. I don’t know if I can say the same for my other three band mates though. Everyone was pretty roughed up after last night.”

“Aw, you guys must be used to this kind of stuff. I’ve heard about Joey and Lance’s partying before. I hear they do a pretty good job of tearing it up when they want to.”

“Yeah, I guess. So what are you all up to today? Are you coming to sound check?” Chris asked

“Actually, we’re on our way out the door right now. The girls have already headed down to the lobby and I have to go and meet them or they are going to leave without me.”

“Wow, you are all getting there pretty early. Trying to beat out the 12 year olds huh?”

“You could say that.” Janey replied wondering whether or not Beth had told Chris and the others that they were going to be at the luncheon. She figured that she would keep it a secret if it was just that. “So what about you guys? What are your plans for the day?”

“Well, we have this lunch thing, then sound check, then we grab a bite to eat, then concert time and after that we crash before we leave in the morning.” Janey could feel her heart sink. She was hoping that she might get one more evening in spent with Chris and by the sounds of it they were going to be too busy to spend any time after the concert with them.

“Sounds like a busy day for you all,” she said trying not to sound too disappointed. “Well, I really have to get out of here or they are going to take off without me.”

“Well, I don’t want them to do that!” he replied, “I’ll see you at sound check then. Make sure you all get close to the catwalks so that we can see you.”

“I have a feeling you’ll have a hard time missing our group,” Janey joked knowing that the girls all had their t-shirts ready to wear for sound check that the guys just wouldn’t be able to miss. “I’ll see you later, bye Chris.”

“Bye, I’ll see you later.”

Chapter 25

“Okay, I give up, what the hell took you so long?” Elley said as Janey entered the taxi where Kim and Cay were also waiting.

“Sorry, had to take that quick phone call,” Janey explained.

“And it was from????” Kim asked .

“Yeah, it was Chris.”

“OH MY GOD!!!! I can’t believe that he called you!” Cay exclaimed as the girls continued to chat about the night before. Janey sat and thought about what Chris had said and didn’t want to spoil the mood by letting the girls know that they were very likely not going to see the guys that night. Before they knew it they had arrived at the arena and were getting out of the cars to see Beth.

“Hey Beth!” Janey called. “Thank you again for everything for today, we really appreciate it.” The rest of the girls also expressed their extreme gratitude to Beth for everything that she had done for the girls and she proceeded to give them all the information that they would need for the day.

“Good morning everyone!” she began. “I’m so glad that you are all so excited about today. It’s going to be a pretty busy day. The lunch starts at about 1:00. Everyone has just about arrived and they are going to be serving food anytime now. Sound check as you all know is at 3:30 and you girls will be the first ones in. After that the guys will go to dinner and you all can go out and grab anything you want. Here are your backstage passes and you can wear those all day long. Just do me a favor and don’t loose them. If someone gets a hold of your pass then they get to go backstage and you don’t. Have any of you seen the concert yet?” she asked and the girls all nodded. Although they hadn’t seen a concert all together yet they had all been to at least one concert this tour. “Fantastic, then you know that the guys bring a few selected people up on stage during the song Falling right? Well, tonight that will be all of you, so here are your wristbands for that. You will also need your tickets and I have them for you as well.” Beth continued to explain the rest of the day and the girls were all so excited. They could hardly control their screams and they saw the eyes of over 100 teenagers glaring at them as they were getting all their information. “Well, if you are all ready to go lets head on in.”

With that, Beth led the group of overly excited girls into the arena and through to the area where a luncheon had been set up.

“Hey gorgeous! I had no idea that you were going to be here!” Joey exclaimed as he approached the group of girls and directed his remark right at Kim who was so excited that Joey was as excited to see her as she was to see him.

“Yeah, neither did any of the rest of us!” she explained. “Janey told all of us this morning!”

“Hey lovely!” Joey said to Janey, “Looks like you really got your friends the hook up this weekend didn’t you?” he continued as he put his arm around Janey.

“Yeah, what a great friend to have huh?” Janey joked as she hugged Joey. “Have you seen the rest of your band mates by the way?” she asked although she really was only interested in one of them.

“Chris is around here somewhere. But hey, when you are ready for a real man let me know okay?” he teased as he gave Janey another hug knowing full well that Janey and Chris were made for each other.

“No problem sweetheart.” Janey said as she headed off to find Chris. The rest of the girls had dispersed and Elley was off with JC, Cay was off with Lance and being introduced to all kinds of celebrities. Lance seemed to know everyone in the room. Chele seemed to have found Justin who was without Brittany for the weekend and she was thoroughly enjoying herself. Then Janey’s eyes found Chris. Her heart sank to the floor as she saw him talking with a beautiful blonde who from a distance looked like his recent ex-girlfriend Dani.

Janey knew that Chris and Dani had remained friends but from the conversations that she had experienced with Chris that weekend, she also knew that Dani had hurt him badly. He really cared a great deal about her and probably still did as far as Janey knew. She decided to give a quick wave and then head off to find Elley and JC and see what they were up to.

“Hey guys!” Janey called, “Wait up!”

“Hey darling,” JC replied giving Janey a quick hug, “how are you feeling today?”

“I’m okay. Listen, do you mind if I hang out with the two of you for a while?” Janey asked.

“Sure sweetie. But may I ask why you aren’t with Chris?” Elley asked worried about her friend.

“Well, he seems to be pre-occupied with another person right at the moment,” Janey said motioning over in the direction of Chris and Dani who seemed to her, to be getting closer to each other by the moment.

“Jay, don’t worry about Dani.” JC replied, “she hurt him pretty bad. They are probably only talking business stuff anyway. You know that she works for Fu-Man right?”

“Yeah, I know, I’m not really worried anyway,” Janey lied, “I just didn’t want to interrupt anything. The luncheon continued for another few hours and Janey kept her distance from Chris. He was involved with talking with Dani the entire time. Janey didn’t seem to mind, she spent time talking with the other guys and really started to get to know the rest of the group. She had spent so much time that weekend getting to know Chris that she hadn’t spent anytime getting to know the other band members.

“Okay! Well, I hate to break this up but I need to get these 5 guys into a warm up area and we need to clear the arena for all of those people who have been waiting outside in the heat for the past 3 hours.” Beth said over the intercom. The guys came around to say goodbye to the girls and said that they would see them all at sound check.

Chapter 26

“Hey Beth, is there anywhere that we can all go and change?” Elley asked.

“Sure, head on over this way with me,” Beth explained and led the girls into a dressing room.

The girls all went inside and went into their bags to find their HH t-shirts that they had made for the weekend. They didn’t want to spoil the surprise to the guys and show off their shirts before sound check.

“Alright, I give up. What the hell is going on with you and Chris? You didn’t talk to him even once during the lunch?” Cay asked her sister.

“What do you mean?” Janey asked, “ I was talking with the rest of the guys and some other people that were hanging around. Man, Usher is HOT as hell isn’t he? I mean, he looks hot on TV and videos and stuff but in person DAMN!” Janey lied to her sister.

“Yeah, okay, sure. Like you weren’t thinking about Chris the whole time! What the hell? I can tell when you are lying Jay, I’m your sister, I know you better than that!”

“Okay, fine, I have no clue why I didn’t say anything to him other than the fact that he seemed to be pretty involved with a certain blonde that was in the room.” Janey explained to her sister trying not to cry although she was pretty upset.

“Jay, come on, you know that’s history. You knew before we even got here how badly Dani hurt Chris and after talking with him this weekend do you seriously think that he would go back to her?”

“I have no idea what to think Cay. All I know is what I saw today and that was Chris involved with talking with her the entire time. It doesn’t matter anyway, Chris is a dream that came true for a little bit this weekend. I’ve lived the dream and now its time to go back to real life.” Janey said to her sister. In her heart she was hoping that the weekend would have turned out differently. She never thought in a million years that she would get the chance to meet Chris but she secretly hoped that when she met him that things would be perfect between them. Up to that time in the weekend it was perfect, ‘But things change and move on and real life happens and you are smacked back into reality’ Janey thought to herself knowing that she lived the dream and it was time to move on. “Lets just enjoy the rest of the weekend okay?” Janey asked her sister who nodded at her and the girls all headed out into sound check.

“Yo ORLANDO WHAZZZZUUUUUUPPPPP??????” The girls heard Joey’s voice coming from backstage. They were all seated in their seats along the catwalk and were so excited for sound check to start and for their first time to really hear the guys sing that weekend. The crowd erupted into thunderous applause as the 5 members of the “hottest band in the world” came out on stage.

“Dirty Pop!” they began and the guys started their version of one of their hits from their latest album ‘Celebrity’. They danced like the girls had never seen before. The entire time their eyes kept heading over in the direction of the group of girls who were screaming louder than the teenagers in the audience all dressed in matching t-shirts. The girls were psyched that the guys were paying as much attention to them as they were. Janey, Caytlyn, Elley, Kim and now Chele were thrilled that the five members each gave them a quick look while they danced by. Janey was sure though that Chris was looking at someone else but she enjoyed the fact that each of the other guys acknowledged her. As they finished their opening number the group of people gathered for sound check were screaming for their favorite group.

“Welcome everyone!” Justin began, “We’re so glad that you could all come out today to see us warm up a bit for our concert tonight.” Again the room erupted into applause as everyone there was very excited about the concert to come that night. “Before we get started we want to take a second to welcome a very special group of girls.”

“We’ve had the opportunity to hang out with some of these girls this weekend as we held our events for Challenge for The Children and they have done something very special. These girls raised over 100,000 dollars for our charity and we want to acknowledge them tonight so ladies if you’d please all stand up and if everyone would give them a round of applause,” JC said as he motioned to the group of girls. Everyone gave the girls a standing ovation recognizing the work that they had done. The guys had noticed that the girls all had on t-shirts that said HH and they were determined to find out at one point in the day what the heck HH meant.

The sound check continued as the typical questions came from 13 year olds that were throughout the audience with their mothers and fathers standing silently by. “I have a question for Chris,” once little girl no older than 18 began, “Do you like my outfit?” Chris didn’t know what to say. He looked that the girl who was wearing ripped jeans and a Fu-Man t-shirt that was obviously the wrong size for her and said, “Yeah, that’s great.” He quickly looked at Janey and winked in her direction. Janey smiled back and laughed with her friends at the comment that was made. “Only a teenie could come up with a question like that!” Janey said to her sister.

“At least she didn’t ask what his favorite Nabisco product was,” the girls joked. They had heard similar questions at the various sound checks that they had attended throughout the summer and they heard some crazy stuff along the way.

“Alright, well, we want to do one more song for you before we head backstage,” Lance started, “This song needs no introduction....Justin....” he continued as the music started.

“Would you be my Girlfriend?” Justin started to sing as the noise level in the room reached a feverish pitch. The guys started to sing their newest hit ’Girlfriend’. Through the entire song, Chris sang the song directly to Janey as JC sang to Elley, Lance sang to Cay and Joey sang to Kim. They were enraptured by the sound of their voices. Janey never really liked the song ’Girlfriend’ until the guys sang it at their concert in Atlantis but ever since then she was in love with the song. In recurring dreams that she had, Chris would sing the song to her. Janey knew that her other friends also had dreams of their favorite NSYNC member singing the song to them. Cay and Janey had long talks about it at home. Little did she know that Chris really was singing the song to her that day and that he wanted her to be his girlfriend.

Chapter 27

The girls all headed out of the arena and headed towards the restaurants that surrounded so that they could grab a bite to eat before the concert began. The guys had all headed backstage and they knew that they wouldn’t be catching up with them before the concert started. Now was the time to go and hang with the girls and enjoy themselves before they went and screamed their lungs out at an NSYNC concert, one of their favorite things to do together.

Backstage at the arena the guys were all grabbing a quick bite in the room where all the food was set up.

“Okay, I give up. What the hell is going on with you and Janey?” Joey asked Chris as they stood in line for food together.

“What do you mean? I really like her a lot. She’s pretty cute isn’t she. That Kim is cute too. You two make a great couple.”

“You know exactly what I mean. You were all over Dani during the entire luncheon today and didn’t say a damn word to her! I wouldn’t be surprised if right at this moment she’s talking about what a complete dick you are!” Joey said to his friend not holding back anything, he really liked Janey and didn’t want to see her get hurt.

“Are you kidding me? Jay knows that Dani and I are just friends. She knows we work together right? We were just talking business the whole time.”

“Didn’t look that way to us!” Lance said, “I don’t want things screwed up between Cay and I, so you better straighten things out with her, man! Cay said that Janey was really upset. She won’t show it to you because she just sees you as a dream that came true for a weekend but if you want something more then you better set things straight”

Chris sat back and thought for a moment at what had happened at lunch. He knew that he had been talking with Dani but it didn’t seem to him that he was really that involved with her. But he also knew that Janey hadn’t so much as come up to him and even say hello. He knew that something must be wrong and he wanted to figure out a way to make things right. He really liked Janey and knew that she had been hurt by that scum bag Joe and he didn’t want to be the next to hurt her.

“Okay, I guess I was a jerk,” he said to his friends, “I didn’t even realize it. I’m an ass okay?” Chris said.

“You aren’t an ass man,” Justin started, “but you had best figure out a way to make things right!”

“Well, I have an idea but I’m going to need your guys help.” Chris said and began to explain his idea to his friends.

Meanwhile the girls were all at dinner and started having a few drinks before the concert. Janey had decided that she was going to put all thoughts of Chris out of her mind and concentrate on her friends’ infatuation with the members of the group that they had been spending so much time with that weekend.

“Kim, you have to tell me everything about Joey so I can live vicariously through you!” Jen said to her friend as the two began to explain every detail of Joey’s kisses and hugs that Kim seemed to be getting throughout the weekend. The other girls were all talking about their new flames and the events of the weekend. Janey just sat back and watched as her sister and their friends discussed everything. She knew that it was almost over and she wanted to savor every minute.

“Penny for your thoughts?” Mindy asked as she came up and sat next to Janey. Janey and Mindy had become great friends though emails and phone calls that year. The two had a lot in common that they never even realized until talking one night online. Mindy had seen Janey through the death of her grandfather and then when Mindy had some family problems she did the same for her friend. The two had become so close and had met each other in person for the first time that weekend.

“I really don’t think they are worth that much sweetie,” Janey said to her friend. “Nothing really is wrong, I’m just sitting back and enjoying watching the rest of you.”

“Yeah, sure, I believe that. I saw you looking at Chris today and I saw him looking at you. What the heck is going on?” she asked her friend.

“Honestly? I have absolutely no clue!” Janey said. “I mean, I like him a lot and I think he likes me too, at least he has seemed that way through the weekend but then I see him today with Dani and now I have no clue. He really loves her still I think so I don’t know, maybe they’re getting back together.”

“Relax girl! I’ve seen him watch you all weekend. He really seems to care about you! Did you even look at him when he was singing Girlfriend today? He was singing right to you!” Mindy said stating what Janey had wanted to notice but was too blind to see.

“I guess, I just don’t know Min. I mean this is me for Christ’s sake. What did I do to deserve this?”

“You are an incredible person,” Caytlyn chimed in, “You deserve this more than anyone I know! Well, of course other than me and Lance,” she joked. “Seriously Jay, you deserve Chris and he deserves someone like you. Just give him a chance okay?” Janey thought for a moment and told her friends and her sister that she would give Chris a chance to explain and that she began to see that she really deserved someone as great as Chris.

Chapter 28

“During this part of the show we like to invite a few people up on stage to join us,” Joey began as the music for Falling began to play in the background. The group of girls all stood backstage nervously giggling like the 13 year olds that they were trying not to be. This was the moment where they would actually be onstage in front of thousands of screaming NSYNC fans and the guys would be singing to them.

“This song is very special to our group. Not only was it a part of a movie that Joey and I were in, but it was written by a member of our group who doesn’t write as much, Chris.” Lance continued. “For this song we’d like to bring out some of our special guests this evening. They represent all of you out here tonight.”

Janey, Caytlyn, Elley and the rest of the girls came out on the stage. Everyone was so nervous and just smiled and giggled. Janey was so excited to be out on stage with NSYNC. It was a dream come true for many of the girls. They had all watched countless girls up on the stage with the guys at concerts they had already attended, but never did they expect they would be up there. The girls were in for a bigger surprise.

“I don’t know how. I don’t know why. But girl it seems you’ve touched my life.” the familiar words to the song began. The girls recognized the voice but it wasn’t coming from the person who regularly sang the song. In the previous tour, Chris had sang his song, but in this tour it was normally sung by Justin and JC who sang the song on the soundtrack. The girls were all shocked when Chris came out on stage singing his song.

Chris came right up to Janey and sang the song that Janey loved from the first moment she heard it. Tears welled up in her eyes as Chris sang the words right to her while the rest of the group sang to the audience, “You’re in my dreams. You’re in my heart. I’m by myself when we’re apart. Something strange has come over me. A raging wind across my sea, and girl you know that your eyes are to blame. And what am I supposed to do, if I can’t get over you. And come to find that you don’t feel the same.” Janey couldn’t believe what was happening to her. The dream that she had played out so many times in her mind was coming true and Chris was singing this song to her. His eyes watered with tears as he continued the song and Janey knew that he meant every word that he sang that night. She wondered how he convinced JC and Justin to let him sing lead on the song and also knew that Johnny would have something to say about it. She felt the familiar arms of Elley and Cay around her as the guys finished the song, “Cause I’ve Fallen, Fallen, Ever since the moment I laid eyes on you.” The audience exploded into applause as Chris came over and gave Janey a quick kiss on the cheek and hug.

“That was for you sweetie, I just wanted to let you know how I feel.” Chris whispered in Janey’s ear.

“You’re going to hear about this later Kirkpatrick!” Janey said not at all upset by the events that had just taken place. She knew at that moment that all that had happened over the weekend was not a dream and that it was in fact real. Chris had really fallen for her and she had indeed fallen for him as well.

“Oh dear lord!” Cay exclaimed as the girls headed off of the stage, “Can you even believe that Chris Kirkpatrick just sang that song to you! You are the envy of every girl in this place Jay!” The girls all surrounded Janey and all started talking at once about what just happened. They had all gotten the undivided attention of at least one NSYNC member and were just as excited for themselves.

“You know if we don’t get back out there some 12 year old is going to take our seats.” Janey said trying to quiet the girls down and to take the attention away from her.

“Yeah, like we can’t beat them down,” Chele said.

“No kidding but she’s right I don’t want to miss anymore of the concert,” Rebecca said as the girls exited the backstage area.

The girls headed back out to their seats to enjoy the remainder of the concert. They screamed and yelled louder than anyone else in the arena and when the guys stared their final song they danced right along with them.

“Ain’t no lie....BYE BYE BYE!” the guys sang as the concert ended. The girls quickly ran over to the side of the stage so that they could go backstage quickly to say thank you to the guys for an incredible concert.

“Oh my god! That was the best concert yet!” Rebecca exclaimed as the girls were running towards the stage doors.

“No kidding! Can you even believe that we were up on stage with them?” Amy turned to ask Robin who was following close behind.

“They were awesome!” Robin replied. The girls approached the side of the stage and quickly flashed their backstage passes and were led into an area where the guys were all hanging out grabbing a quick drink of water before leaving the arena. They all erupted into more applause as they thanked the guys for an incredible concert. Janey saw in the distance that Chris was eyeing her and she knew that she couldn’t avoid him any longer and went over to say thank you after talking with the rest of the guys.

“Hey you,” she said, “I think I owe you a beating for that one that you pulled on me tonight don’t I?” she asked. Chris pulled her close into a hug and kissed the top of her head. “Well, if that is a beating I want more like that!” she joked with Chris as he held her close.

“I just wanted to let you know how I really feel Janey. I’ve never met anyone...” Chris started to say as the noise level continued to rise around him. “You know what, lets do this later. What are you doing tonight?” he asked.

“Well, the girls and I are headed back to the hotel. We are all leaving in the morning as well, so we are going to enjoy one last night together and do some drinking I’m sure, and just enjoying each others company. We don’t really know when we will all be together again.”

“Do you think they’d mind if we all came over? I mean all 5 of us. I know that the other guys would enjoy a little partying of the intimate nature if you girls wouldn’t mind?” Chris asked hoping that Janey would jump at the chance to spend one last evening with the group.

“I don’t think they’d mind at all. Will I get to hear you complete your sentence then?” Janey asked, wondering what else Chris had to say.

“Yeah, I promise. We have to get cleaned up and stuff and then we’ll be over. Should we just go up to your room?”

“I’m sure that’s where we’ll be hanging out. Don’t forget to bring those friends of yours though. I’m sure that there will be some very upset people if they don’t show.” Chris agreed and they said a quick goodbye as Janey grabbed the rest of the girls to head back to the hotel.

“They are coming over? You mean all of them? Lance too?” Caytlyn asked her sister very excited that she was going to get to spend a little more time with Lance before they left in the morning.

“Yes, all of them. They are all coming up to our room. We better stop and pick up some booze on the way back, we’re starting to run low.” Janey said to her sister as they directed the taxi driver to the closest liquor store. They had already told all of the girls to meet up in their room at 11:30 for a bon voyage party and had also told them all that the guys would be joining them. Jen and Mindy invited the guys from the comedy club the night before over to enjoy one last fling with them so it was sure to be a huge party.

Chapter 28

Everyone had arrived at the “lucky bitch suite” for one last night of partying around 11:00 and the girls started toasting to a great weekend.

“Here is to Jay and Cay, without the two of you putting this weekend together, we would have never had the incredible luck that we’ve had!” Elley toasted her friends to a thunderous round of applause as the girls did their first shot of many for that night. Elley turned to Janey and smiled. Elley knew that Janey and Chris had talked and that they were on a better track than they were earlier that evening and she hoped that things would work out for her friend. Elley knew deep down that it would be hard to keep things going between her and JC. She cared about him a lot but she had lived the dream and now all she wanted was a couple freak dances with the boy and it would make her a happy girl. She had a life back home that was going to keep her pretty occupied as she finished school and it would be hard to keep a relationship going.

“Here is to our incredible group of friends. I never realized that starting HH would become like this and we would all be standing here together in Orlando. So here’s to HH! Long Live the Helping Hands!” Kim said as she toasted the group of friends all standing together. Kim and Joey had enjoyed a great weekend together. She was also not quite sure where the weekend would lead. Joey had a history of dropping those girls that he met for a weekend and although she didn’t want to be another number in his book, she was happy for what had happened.

“Here’s to my sister for putting all of this together!” Caytlyn started, “And here’s hoping that Chris will see what he’d be missing if he kept screwing up like he did today!” the girls all toasted to Janey and all the work she did to put together the weekend. Caytlyn had spent an incredible weekend with Lance. She so wanted things to work out between the two of them but she wasn’t quite sure what was going to happen. If Janey and Chris stayed together then the likelihood of Cay and Lance staying together was much better because the girls lived so close together. Caytlyn knew that she and Lance had discussed the possibility of putting her on his label but that was such a far off thought in her mind that she didn’t give it a second thought. She really just wanted to see her sister happy and on her way to a healthy relationship.

The girls all turned on the music and started dancing and drinking away in the suite when they heard a knock on the door. Elley ran to answer the door to find two huge bodyguards standing in the doorway. She knew that the members of NSYNC wouldn’t be far behind and she welcomed Lonnie and Mike into the room. “Hey guys! Welcome to the ‘lucky bitch suite’ as we so affectionately call it. Can I get you anything?” Elley asked.

“Nah, we’re fine, we just wanted to make sure it was just you girls here before we brought the guys in. We’ll be standing guard outside. No one will be let up onto the floor without authorization. Is everyone here who you expect to come?” Lonnie asked.

“Yeah, we’re all here Lonnie. Thanks for taking care of all of us.” Janey replied to him as he opened the door to let the guys into the room.

“HEY LADIES!!!!” Joey yelled as he entered the room followed by the other 4 members of the group close behind. Everyone enjoyed themselves drinking and dancing the night away. Cay and Lance seemed to be inseparable through the entire night. Janey hoped that things would work out between her sister and Lance. He seemed to be a really great guy who would be wonderful for her not only for her career as a professional singer but for her sanity and life as well. Lance was just what Caytlyn needed in life. Justin and Chele seemed to be attached at the hip for most of the night as Chele introduced him to the rest of the girls and enjoyed her time dancing with one of her favorite members of the group.

JC and Elley were another story. They disappeared for about an hour of the night and when they finally emerged from the bedroom JC’s hair was a mess and he seemed to be wearing more of Elley’s lipstick than she was. Immediately the girls grabbed Elley and brought her into the bedroom to find out exactly what happened.

“All right girl, spill it!” the began wanting to know every detail.

“Yeah okay, sure, like I’m going to kiss and tell!” Elley said to her friends, “But I’ll tell ya, he is AMAZING!” the girls sent out a collective screech and hugged their friend.

Joey and Kim kept disappearing throughout the night to different rooms in the suite and they just seemed to be enjoying each other’s company. A few times the girls caught them coming out of the room with buttons unbuttoned or zippers down and they would immediately ask questions.

All that was happening was lost on Janey and Chris as they disappeared quickly after he arrived and didn’t show their faces until later in the evening. “So, are you gonna finish your sentence or what?” Janey asked as Chris pulled her aside as soon as he arrived.

“Yeah, but lets go somewhere quiet so we can talk okay?” he asked and pulled her into one of the bedrooms and closed the door behind to not only their friends, but to the world as they entered a world all their own.

“Okay, so here goes, Janey, I’ve never met anyone like you. You are one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. I really never thought that I’d feel the way I feel right now again since I broke up with Dani. That’s why I was talking with her today. We were just talking about some old times that we had and I was actually telling her all about you. I told her that I have never felt this way about anyone in my life. You are just....” Chris tried to continue as tears began to well up in Janey’s eyes. She had longed to hear Chris say these very words to her. She silenced his words with a tender kiss.

“Chris, I really don’t know what to say. From the moment I met you, you have been in every thought in my mind. I really thought I’d wake up today to find out that this has all been one big dream that I actually got to live. But knowing that you are here with me right now makes me believe that it is all real. I think I knew that you cared for me last night when you were talking to Joe on the phone. Every other guy that I’ve been with since Joe has just written him off as an old boyfriend and never really took into account how I felt. You confronted that last night and told him off. I couldn’t believe it when you answered my phone. When you sang to me tonight, you showed thousands of people that you really care for me. I just wish that I could show you that I care for you in the same way.” Janey said as tears streamed down her face.

“Sweetie, you don’t have to say a word to anyone, just be here with me,” Chris said as he pulled her close and kissed her sweetly on the lips. Hers parted as they deepened their kiss and professed their true caring for each other. The world seemed to stop around them as they embraced. The noise of their friends in the other room was forgotten as the two lay in bed together showing each other how much they cared for the other. They knew that this might possibly be the only night that they were ever going to spend together and they wanted to savor every moment.

The noise level in the adjoining room began to diminish as Janey awoke at 3:30 am knowing that she would have to be up shortly. She turned to see Chris breathing evenly as she tried to study every feature of his body. She wanted to remember everything that had happened that weekend for she knew that she might never see Chris again. What if she was just a one-night stand? What if she was just someone for the weekend to hang out with? She hoped in her heart that she would find that Chris was there to stay and that this would turn out to be a relationship to last. She lay on her side and snuggled close to Chris and felt herself following his breathing as the two fell fast asleep.

Chapter 29

“Every little thing I do...” the alarm clock sang the songs of the familiar NSYNC song as Janey turned to smack it off. ‘Could it really be time to leave?’ she thought to herself. She looked at the clock which read 6:00 am and knew that she would have to get up soon, get her sister from wherever Lance had taken her, and head back to New Hampshire to life with her children at the day care again. She dreaded going back and hoped that she would be able to find a different job when she returned. Her dream was always to be performing and she prayed that someday the dream of playing in the Boston Pops might just come true.

“Hey beautiful,” the voice next to her said as Janey seemed to jump a million feet in the air at the sound. “How did you sleep?” Chris asked as he pulled her close to give her a good morning kiss.

“Wonderful, how about you?” she asked as she snuggled close to him. She wanted to enjoy every last minute they had together.

“Just amazing knowing that you were here with me. You know, I’m going to miss you so much Janey.” Chris started to say.

“Chris, you don’t have to say that.”

“Why? You really mean a lot to me. Janey, I know it’s going to be hard. I’m going to be on the road for another 2 months before this tour ends. I’ll have some time after that but until then its going to be phone calls and emails unless you get some time to come out and see us. You just say the word and I’ll....”

“Chris,” Janey cut him off, “You have a million adoring fans out there. Please don’t think I’m not flattered but I would understand completely if things didn’t work out between us.” Chris silenced her with a kiss.

“Do you think I don’t want this to work Jay? You are the person I want to be with. I love you Janey. There is not another person in the world like you.” Chris continued. Janey could hardly believe her ears as to what she was hearing. “Lets just see how it goes what do you say? he asked her.

“Chris....I.....I just can’t believe this. Yes, I want to make it work.” Janey was so excited and she hugged and kissed Chris. Who would have thought this would happen to her? “Right now though, I need to find out where the heck my sister is and the other girls so that we can make our flights back home.” Chris and Janey parted although neither wanted to leave the others side. Janey went off to find the other girls and Chris went to get dressed.

“Hey sunshine! Rise and Shine!” Janey said to her sister as she found her in the other bedroom with Lance lying next to her in bed. She could only have imagined what happened and she knew that the flight home would be full of talk about Lance and Chris. “As much as I hate to say goodbye to ya Lance, we gotta get going and I have to pull this beautiful woman from you.” Lance turned to Cay and pulled her to him and gave her a long kiss goodbye. As he got up to get dressed, Caytlyn went to her sister and gave her a huge hug with a knowing look that they would talk about the evening on the airplane.

As Janey and Cay went to wake the rest of the girls they knew that Kim and Elley would both have some nice long stories to share as they had spent the evening with Joey and JC. No one knew where Jay and Chris had disappeared to so they were all curious as to find out what had happened. But one look into Janey’s eyes told them all they needed to know. Their friend was in love and it was that kind of love that would last a lifetime.

Epilogue

“Final boarding call for flight number 1667 to Manchester New Hampshire. Final boarding call!” the announcer said over the loudspeaker.

The girls all held one final embrace with their friends as Janey and Cay headed towards their gate. They weren’t sure when they would see the girls again but they hoped it would be soon..

“Jay, I can’t even begin to explain what this weekend has been like,” Elley began, “You are amazing girl. I can’t wait to hear all about you and Chris!” she said as she hugged her friend. “Oh, and by the way, he gave me this for you.”

“He what?” Janey asked her friend as Elley handed her a manila envelope with Janey’s name on the front.

“Yeah, as he was leaving this morning. He handed this to me. I have no clue what it is.” Janey gave her friend one last hug as she went and said a final goodbye to the rest of the girls. Some of the girls would be coming up to Boston in a few weeks for another concert but she would miss them all until they would be together again.

The girls all cried as Jay and Cay boarded their airplane and took their seats to prepare for the 3-hour trip back home. Jay and Cay hugged each other as the plane began to depart. “We’d like to thank you all for visiting Orlando and hope that you come back to visit again soon,” the flight attendant said. Janey and Caytlyn both hoped that they would be visiting soon as well.

“Well girl, you did it! You survived a weekend in Orlando with no problems whatsoever. You got to kiss your favorite boy band member and made some kick ass friends to boot.” Cay said to her sister. “So what the hell is in the envelope?” she asked.

“No clue. Elley gave it to me. Said that Chris gave it to her. I guess I should open it huh?” Janey said to her sister.

“Hell yeah!” her sister exclaimed as Janey tore open the envelope. Inside was a letter from Chris and a CD. Janey put the CD into her player and as the familiar strains of one of her favorite songs started she read the letter:

Dear Janey,

I told you last night that I’ve never met anyone like you. I don’t know if I ever will again. You are just amazing. I admire all that you’ve been through and all that you’ve done in your life. I just want you to know that I’m always here for you whenever you need me. I’m just a phone call away. But when I’m not there with you I want you to have this as a memory of me. Remember me singing Falling to you and know that I meant every word I said. The songs on this CD aren’t necessarily songs that the guys and I have written or even sung but they express how I feel for you. Whenever you miss me just listen to them and know that I’m thinking of you and feeling the same way. I love you Janey and until we see each other face to face again, keep the memories of this weekend alive and I promise to always be there for you.

I Love you,

Chris

Janey never thought she’d hear this song played for her from anyone but especially from Chris. As the song reached the bridge Janey could feel the tears streaming down her face. She could hear Chris singing the song to her and her sister reached for her hand. “We may be a thousand miles apart. But I’ll be with you wherever you are. I’m already there. Take a look around. I’m the sunshine in your hair. I’m the shadow on the ground. I’m the whisper in the wind. And I’ll be there until the end. Can you feel the love that we share? Oh I’m already there. Oh I’m already there.”

Caytlyn turned to give her sister a hug, “Are you going to be okay sweetie?” she asked.

“Yeah, I’m going to be just fine,” and she sat back in her seat and closed her eyes. Janey pressed repeat on the song as she remembered the kisses she shared with Chris. She prayed that this wasn’t a dream she was going to wake from in a few hours and that this was all real. Someday, maybe, she’d know if it indeed was to be. But for now, she had the letter in front of her to remind her of his love and the CD to listen to and to know that he was already there.

The End
