That One is For Bill
Recently a email crossed my desk about God and everything dealing with the goverment monies and pledge of a legiance.
I want to circulate my opinion.
I am not a god fearing man, or a bible thumper. I am a spiritualist. I have an understanding of all the religions and all the alternitive practices there are out there to be known. I agree with those who say that they should not have to see, in god we trust, or, see the name of god in the pleadge of a legiance. BUT I do not agree with taking it out.
Now in America we have such a wide diversity of religions and beliefs. And it is unbelivable that there is such a controversy over this, when we have the freedom of religion. But as much I was hate to say it , the founders of this country we based of a God based religion. And evenn if you dont beleive. It is still apart of this countries history. It is a part of what this country is.
Why should we take a away the very thing that this country was founded on.
You have the freedom of choice not say the pledge, you have the freedom of choice not to read the money. All anyone truly cares about the money is how many zeros are behind it. You have the freedom of choice to beleive what you want.
The truth is though that those people who want these things removed are those who only what attention because they have been wronged by another religion or another person. Who really cares what the green piece of paper says. We only are interested in the value of it.
If you live in this country, you are an American. No matter what background you have. No matter what religion you are. You dont have to beleive in what the country says or does... but you should support your country and everything that comes with it.
I have served in the miltary my self. I was Navy for Three years. I was stationed on the USS Anzio, CG-68. I am proud to say I served this country. and would gladly do it again.
Honestly... why do you really care what you see in Writing when you are not forced to read it. Why make a big deal out of something that is a part of our nation's history. We are not the people in the middle east fighting for god or any religions. We are fighting for freedom an self expression.Not who is religiosly right and who is not.
