This page describes me, with emphasis on attracting a woman for long term romance. My home address is turbofan46@yahoo.com

First things first:
49 years, 150 pounds, 5’9”. I have two sisters and a brother, and three nephews, and a niece.

Life style:

I live in Rochester Hills, and I work near the Palace of Auburn Hills. I’m a design engineer, slim and in good shape. I work 40 hours a week, and have the weekends free. I don’t drink or smoke. I am well educated and soft spoken. I can speak some Chinese and French. I bought a house in Spring Hill on May 1, 2007 and have been busy settling in to it. It has a nice yard and gardens.
Personality:
I’m friendly and very affectionate, and I don’t like to fight. I’m not a TV ball watcher, nor a hunter/angler, and I don’t hang out in bars. I usually run, lift weights, and swim after work for an hour. It takes lots of energy but keeps me in shape, I have good abs and no beer gut. I’m good with my hands and real handy around the house. I like to do home improvements and build things.

My Car

My car these days is a Ford Focus wagon. It gets 30 mpg, has lots of cargo space, and is reliable - just right for those weekend getaways!

Camping, My Style

I do a little camping in warm weather. I have a really quiet sly site in a nice park. I love to look at the stars and listen to the crickets chirp.

Musical tastes:
I like fusion, straight ahead jazz, rock, big band. I prefer instrumental music, some of my favorites are JL Ponty, Bob James, Jazz Crusaders, Lee Rittenour, Jeff Beck, Stan Clark, Return To Forever, Joe Sample, Chic Corea, Al DiMeola, Tim Weisberg, Stan Kenton. I am eager to check out the live jazz scene in the area.

Ethics:
I have great morals and values. I follow the golden rules and expect the same from others.

Metaphysical & Religious:
I am tolerant, in other words, it does not matter to me what religion you claim. In my family, religion is a private, personal matter. I am not dogmatic, I am open minded, but not so open that my brain fell out. I have read philosophy, and I have thought a lot about metaphysics and religion. I am very down to earth and hold a naturalistic world view. I enjoy discussing these things, it can make for interesting conversation.

Political:
I am for fairness in politics, and I think that the main role of the government is to prevent people from harming each other. I’m not a right winger, nor a socialist, nor a republican nor a democrat. I am for both freedom and responsibility.

Hobbies and pastimes: I like to go out to nice restaurants, to movies, concerts, weekend trips and many fun things. I hope to find a woman who is a bit outdoorsy. I have two bicycles and I like to visit the parks. I’m a good cook, and sometimes I like to grill out on wood embers. It’s more trouble, but the flavor is much better than using charcoal.

Some of the things that I like, in no particular order:

Lots of hugs and kisses, summer, hiking, travel, fine dining, movies, skiing, flying airplanes, camping in fragrant pines, parties, star gazing, people watching, family reunions, funny cartoons, sun bathing, bicycling, festivals, water falls, romance, misty mornings and fog, boating, go karts, live jazz, country clubs, apple cider, weddings, chirping crickets at night, vacations, water parks, walking barefoot on the soft grass of a golf course at night, rainbows, back rubs, writing poetry, stained glass, big houses, cruises, jet skis, air shows, camp fires, picnics, parades, train rides, tropical beaches, bouncing on trampolines, rummage sales, Octoberfests, flowers and formal gardens, sauna baths, shopping, tailgate parties, skiing at night in a gentle snow followed by a warm drink by the fireside, inhaling helium out of a balloon and then talking in a funny voice, carving a pumpkin for Halloween, museums, fireworks, horseback riding, exciting movie chase scenes, jumping in leaves, snorkeling, cooking tasty dishes, finding fossils, hot air balloons, a tasty mug of coffee on a chilly morning, walking in a gentle rain under an umbrella, soaking in a hot tub, hay rides, fruity ice cream, fresh peaches, new years eve celebrations, visiting my family in Wisconsin, museums, sushi, flying gliders, herbal tea, baking pumpkin spice cookies, snowmobiling, designing & inventing things, to name just a few.

What do you like?

I would love to meet a woman who:
is also seeking a steady, committed, intimate relationship, possibly marriage. Personality is more important than age. I want a best friend and a partner. I prefer a woman whose actions are consistent with her words. I would prefer a woman who has down to earth values, has her feet on the ground and reaches for the stars, but does not live with her head in the clouds. I plan on retiring before 58 and living someplace warm, down south or out west, and having a separate place in the country.
