***2012 Schedule is now posted! ***

Tournament season over? Taking to the woods instead of the lake? Got a deer you want mounted at a reasonable price? How about a turkey tail and wing mount?

Give Jim a call - he'll treat you right!

TAXIDERMY BY JIM

Well, its been a while since I did an update! The woodworking has kept me really busy this summer and still have one more kitchen to build before the end of the month.

Its been a crazy year but we placed twice this season including a 3rd place at Mosquito.

Took the boat out for one last time to winterize it and get some last minute fishing in. My daughter went along to see if she can beat the old man one more time. She did.

Her last fish of the 2011 season was her best of the year. Great way to finish out!

Bass Tournaments in NE Ohio do exist.  Largemouth, Smallmouth and Spotted bass are all fair game here in Ohio. We have lake maps, hints on tying knots for your lures and tournament information. Photo pages and a discussion board are also included in this site, so check it out!

My little escape from reality...

2011 Schedule for BadBassChamps !!!

Photo page

This season promises to be an enthusiastic and unprecedented season - fishing in the BadBassChamps circuit. It promises to be bigger and better than ever!

For the last 5 years Fin Feather Fur Outfitters has sponsored on of our qualifiers as a no entry fee tournament. The have come back for the FIFTH STRAIGHT YEAR and agreed to do it again! Nowhere else will you find a qualifying tournament with NO entry fee!

I don't understand how anybody would choose to fish any other circuit if they are only fishing one this year!

Visit the BadBassChamps website and download the details and entry form today!

Jump on over to the Tournament Page and check out the schedule and follow my updates after each tournament!

This years circuit is sponsored in part by:

In these pages, I hope to shed a little light on the fishing situation here in the lost world of North East Ohio. I hope to have photos of the lakes of the area, like Berlin Reservoir, Lake Milton, West Branch Reservoir, Mosquito Lake and the Portage Lakes. I also hope to have photos and info on Tappan, Saltfork, Seneca and the Ohio River - all of which are in southern Ohio.

As a matter of fact, I am not going to exclude any place in Ohio. If there is enough interest out there, we will just have to open it up to any place, not just Ohio. I have heard Ohio is Purgatory for Bass Angling, but Jeff was talking out his wazzu when he said that.

By the way, the animated graphics you see throughout this site are from Pickafish at Geocities. Visit the guy's website and thank him for his collection of animated GIFS!!!

Hey Dan, what are the state (Ohio) records for Largemouth, Small mouth, and Spotted bass?  Glad you asked me that!  according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, that would be:

Largemouth   13.13 #  25 1/16" Farm Pond. Roy Landsberger, Kensington, on May 26, 1976.

Smallmouth       9.5 #           23 1/2" Lake Erie. Randy Van Dam, Kalamazoo, Mich., on June 16, 1993.

Spotted      5.25 #    21" Lake White. Roger Trainer, Waverly, on May 2, 1976.
