I embrace you in my arms
and my worries fade
like lights in the nite
there’s no one around
except you and me
our attention and intensity
moving into a realistic fantasy
the lights are down low
delicately caressing our skin
music sets the mood
floating serenely thru the room
leading us into
the dream that will become reality
in the next few hours
we explore the unknown
feeling so many emotions
of living a romance
that was so far into in the distance
it couldn’t possibly exist
you taught me that it does
we create our own version of pleasure
clothes become minor detail
the temp continues to rise
we fall together
and emerge with a new take on life and love
to make it count
dance the dance
never leave anything to chance
what once felt expected
now feels as it should
forever pure, never fading,
and in it’s truest form.
