remember the day our hearts met?
such a glorious and promising day.
we held hands,
smile into each other's eyes,
and the world didn't seem to matter.
day by day,
we longed to be together
just to hold each other's thoughts,
feel each other's presence,
and succumb to each other's love.
i couldn't even forget the quick glances
and the embarrassment of getting caught
all those foolish grins
and indeed the funny faces.
sad to say,
destiny never allows us to pursue
to share our love and cherish it long
we were forced to part
and time never gave us the chance.
