HER JOURNEY'S JUST BEGUN

Don't think of her as gone away
her journey's just begun
life holds so many facets~
this earth is only one~
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think how of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched~
for nothing loved is ever lost~
and she was loved so much.

~E. Brenneman~

Children’s Footprints

Some children come into our lives and go quickly.
Some children come into our lives and stay awhile.
All our children come into our lives and leave footprints
Some oh so small; Some a little larger; Some larger still,
But all have left their footprints on our lives in our hearts.
And we will never never be the same

Little one, little one,
Where have you gone?
Your going has darkened
the brightest dawn. Why did you leave us
So soon, so soon.
Where can we look for you?
Over the moon?
On butterflies' wings?
In the heart of a rose?
Who knows, who knows

Where a little one goes?
Where have I gone,
I am not so small.
My soul is as wide
As the world is tall.
I have gone to answer
The call, the call
Of the One who takes
Care of us all.
Wherever you look
You will find me there-
In the heart of a rose,
In the heart of a prayer.
On butterflies' wings.
On wings of my own,
To you, I'm gone
But I'm never alone.
I'm over the moon.
I am home.
