Barons shut out Rochester
From staff reports

The Cleveland Barons improved their preseason record to 2- after routing the host Rochester Americans, 3-0, last night in Webster Community Sports Arena.

Chad Wiseman, Graig Mischler, and Lynn Loyns scored goals for the Barons.  The Americans fell to 0-2.

The attendance for the game was 1,200.

Barons sign deal:  All Barons games this season will be broadcast live on WKNR AM/850.

"Developing a partnership with the only all sports station in Cleveland is an important part of building the new Cleveland Barons," team President Michael Lehr said.

"We are thrilled our fans will be able to hear all our regular and postseason games live on WKNR."

Veteran broadcaster Jamie Smock has been hired to handle play-by=play and media relations duties.  Smock, 29, spent the past five seasons in similar roles for the Pee Dee Pride Hockey Club of the East Coast Hockey League.
